This a gem in 29 Palms. I love seeing the local history and the changing displays. The shop has some cute items, well priced. You can see a collection of Howard Pierce pieces here. They also have a lecture series that is only $5 to attend. See their website for details.

Great little museum that the Historical Society has. Quite informative and great displays. You should see the restored Stage that is on 1928

Didn't get a chance to visit inside — but we enjoyed viewing the outside art installations. Everywhere around the schoolhouse and the nearby 29 Palms Inn is filled with creativity. I look forward to a future visit when we can go inside.

Was told of the museum story by a local retired teacher and a staff person. Life was so hard back then.

Very nice and interesting artifacts this place has, especially the items from when the museum was an actual schoolhouse and items from World War Two.

The mining implements were interesting, as were the household items. I picked up some nice earrings in the gift shop.

It was really nice seeing their new addition and reading the history of 29 Palms. I also met up with some people from my childhood.

A surprisingly high-quality museum for such a small town. But 29-Palms has a rich history!
