Vicki is very knowledgeable, very compassionate in your needs and gives great customer service. It does not surprise me the length of time Althea's has been doing business in Ventura, they are a definite a go to for specialty needs.

I took my 22 year old daughter here for a proper bra fitting since she had struggled finding the right size at Kohl's and other department stores. She was given such personalized service and the woman was so patient with her. We were there a full hour and she probably tried on a dozen bras before settling on one. Likely, I will return for my own personal fitting.

Absolutely fabulous customer service. Be sure to make an appointment. Prices definitely fit your needs. Their product lines are the best I've ever seen, because they have exactly what every woman wants to replace what surgery has taken away. Comfortable and natural looking.

Kaiser Permanente referred me to Althea's for my mastectomy bras for after my double mastectomy. Then again for my prosthetics for when I'm healed. All paid for through Kaiser. The service I received here was excellent. Vicki was very nice with me and didn't make me feel uncomfortable at all. I have even walked in without an appointment to purchase a leisure bra without any problems. Just had to wait a bit which was fine. When it came to the prosthetics that was an interesting appointment. Had to decide on size and since I was more concave on one side Vicki helped balance me out. This is a great shop when to have locally here in town. Definitely recommend.

Rude young lady. I walked in today and asked if they had bras. She just looked at me like I was dumb and said, well we have custom bras but you need an appointment then she just stared at me like i was bothering her. I'll take my business elsewhere if I am inconveniencing you.

We are so fortunate to have Vickie and her husband, and their very special store, in Ventura! Vicki is so knowledgeable, compassionate, and has the warmest smile! She knows her products and helps you choose which will work best for you. She understands that each surgery, it's results, and each woman is different, and she strives to find a bra that will help her client feel beautiful again! In addition, she is great with the compression products, explaining how they work, showing how to use them. She is the perfect person for this vital service! Her husband is so helpful as well, with the administrative side of their business. Plus he is the DIY'er for Phase 1 of their remodel. The reception area is beautifully done, brighter, calm, and efficient. I think it's important to note that Althea's is not just for lumpectomy/mastectomy clients...she carries a wide variety of items so all women can enjoy a proper fitt! Vickie has helped me through this very emotional roller coaster ride of breast cancer. I am forever grateful for Vicki, her husband (sorry, I haven't asked his name), and Althea's! Thank you for all you do to make this experience easier for us!

A few months ago, my Mom found out she had breast cancer. She went through a lumpectomy and then a mastectomy (which was not the original plan). With all the emotion that goes along with this process, I went with my Mom into Altheas to get a new bra and prosthetic. Viki worked with my Mom helping her to get the right fit and prosthetic. She was knowledgeable and had the right amount of compassion. This is actually my first Yelp review and as I said, we were in there a few months back but felt it was important to acknowledge the wonderful service that Viki gave. Thank you for making this rather difficult process just a little bit better :)

I love love this establishment!!! From the moment I stepped into the door I felt welcomed and the service was excellent!!! The service with products were wonderful so I ordered more bras! This will always be my number one store for undergarmwnts!

Having experienced the agony of a double mastectomy, Althea's staff were about as caring, loving and professional as you can get. I appreciate everything about their service and not to mention the bras they have are outstanding!

Yesterday was my first experience with this store. First you sign in on a clip board. Everyone gets personalized service. I have trouble finding bras in my size in department stores.. They were so helpful in fitting me with the proper size. They assured me that they have my large size there every day of the week. Hurray! They put my information in the computer for next time, the price was reasonable. I was scared with all this personalized service it was going to be expensive but it wasn't . It was normal prices. I paid 42.00 for my bra. There were a couple breast cancer survivors there getting discreetly fitted. I was humbled and felt very blessed. The personnel are both sensitive and discreet. It was a good experience.

Maureen put my teenage daughter at ease and helped her feel comfortable with her compression stocking she will be wearing for life. The atmosphere was relaxed and compassionate. Great job.
