Stay away from this place!I have been a loyal customer for years.Doug the mechanic talk to you and tell you that he will take care of the problem.Once the car is serviced,he tell you that you need extra parts to replace in order to fix the problem. So, you keep replacing a lot of parts and labor. And the problem Never gets fix.!!!In my last visit they installed a wrong part on my car. I come over and explained the situation.Doug said that he will fix the problem. He will give you a good price on the new work order. And the price keeps going up and up. And you continue to have the old problem, plus new ones to fix .It's clear to me that; they rip off their customers. They want your money and all you gets it's Excuses.Do not trust this place to service your car! You're going to be sorry!!!! ?⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️

Used to be great service, been coming here for 4 years. Went today for my yearly smog check and was told that I switched out my catalytic converter with an aftermarket. I’ve never changed any such part on my car. Was then told I needed paperwork or proof of said part replacement. I explained in all the years I’d been coming here never had this ever been told to me before. I was then called a liar, told me if I’d been here before where was the previous years receipts and paperwork. I then provided the receipts and paperwork from years before. No apology, and worse yet still no service since I don’t have paperwork for the part I never replaced. That’s a great way to lose a loyal customer. I’m never coming back here again, would give 0 stars if I could.

They make paying customers have to pay $2 for air. Gas stations that charge customers for air and water after purchasing fuel can be fined up to $250 for each violation.

Long story short. They will try to rip you off.I've had my car for 6 years already, passed various smog tests in the previous years of ownership, not once did other smog testers mention an aftermarket catalytic converter. But at Walnut 76, they mentioned I had replaced a catalytic converter recently, fresh install, and therefore would not pass the smog test unless the original was install. Conviently, they offered to find the original part for me, and install it. I just had to pay $1200+ for the catalytic converter not including labor. Took it to another smog tester and passed with no problems of a tampered converter.

Smog mechanic wouldn't smog my car for the free retest because of a new found non-existent oil leak on my pcr valve cover. He said the whole cover needs to be replaced... funny if there was an oil leak wouldn't that be a gasket? This place is a scam just looking for money for the attached garage. It should be illegal to have any association with a shop if your a start certified smog facility to avoid this scam. I took the truck to my trusted mechanic and he doesn't see the issue. I'll be taking the truck to another smog shop. I'm out $50+ the cost of the second shop. If you have issues make sure to report them to the BAR so we can get these guys out of business. dca.ca.gov/webapps/bar/c…

Save yourself the agony and regrets. The technicians ruined my car and they refuse to accept responsibility. The manager was very rude and is all about taking my money even after they had failed to put back the parts properly that caused my engine to completely break. I should have read the other reviews about this place. Now I need to take them to court!Services: Transmission

Ruined my car. Do not go here save yourself the trouble and headache. This new owner and his mechanics don't know what they are doing. After a few miles driving away started making noise. Right away I called and told them about it and he said to drive it for a day and if still makes noise then bring it back. The next day talking to the same guy he said I have to pay more money and claims it was my fault. Obviously I was upset...Long story short I need to take my car to another mechanic to fix the mess and take this company to court. Lesson learned

Came in on Friday for what I thought was going to be a quick smog check. I've been working on cars for over 10 years, and worked at a Toyota dealership for 6 as a certified technician. This is all to say I know my way around my wife's 2009 Corolla and I know the condition it's in. This place failed me because a hose was stiff, not broken or cracked or even missing but stiff. I took the vehicle to two other places and they said the hose was fine, that it wouldn't fail unless broken or missing, I had no check engine light on and no monitors missing. Played phone tag with the manager until I got ahold of them today where they remained adamant that it's a bad hose. I would r recommend this place to anybody unless they want to get scammed on emission repairs they don't need. I even called the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) and the first thing they said was "wow I've never heard of that fail" so goes to show these guys truly have no clue what they're doing. Save your money and go to a shop that won't scam you out of your hard earned money with their poor technicians.

DON'T GO HERE for a smog check. They rip you off and steal your money. Not worth your time. They are rude, unprofessional, and are just digging for money. Find a better place. We ended up taking the car some where else, the car to have no problems and pass. Where at this place my car didn't pass and they wanted $1600 to "FIX" it. And when we try to call back to complain, they said to call back tomorrow. I will call them back!

I just did my smog check and oil change at Walnut 76. I called a few places in my neighborhood and they charge $58 or more. And I received some price quote responses from Yelp and they charged between $48-$65. I found out this one from Walnut Buzz. You only need to show them the coupon from your phone (it's on their website just search Walnut 76). The coupon states $29.95 (star certified) but it's not including $10 certification fees. It's still good deal for $40. They may charge more fees on larger cars though. My car is due for oil change and they have this service. Regular oil filter change including disposal fees is about $37.99. Both services didn't take long and took me less than an hour then it's done. They told me that I need to change the front brakes and dog bone mount but I don't have time today. And they haven't told me the exact price including the labor fees. They did give me a roughly estimate price on both though. If you are looking for smog check and oil change place, this is one of the places that you can check it out.
