I had a 9 AM APPT for a coin appraisal on February 11th, 2023. I arrived for my APPT and I was turned away. Doors were locked, despite the business advertising an 8:30 AM start time. When I called, the person who answered told me that he was "not interested". The woman who made my APPT assured me that I would receive an appraisal. Worst service in Cherry Creek.

Went in for a ring appraisal and the old white man couldn't have been more rude and spoke with such a condescending tone. Completely low balled me on the price and hardly looked at my piece, didn't even ask about the prior Appraisal paperwork I had in my hand.

Spoke to someone on the phone looking to sell some bullion. When I mentioned some prices I had looked up for the items from other dealers and queried how David Ellis came to a price he just laughed derisively and told me to go sell online.The fact that he wasn't interested in buying didn't bother me... What was irritating is that no effort was put forward to lend this 40 years of experience in helping a potential customer understand David's process (even just a precious minute of his time). Instead this potential customer was left feeling uncertain as to whether he was talking to someone who has a fair process or a carnival barking snake oil salesmen trying to Gaslight me.Oh well... In the end we'll never know. What I DO know is that if customer service is important to You there are other options.

They untangled my necklace, which took awhile, and wouldn't let me pay them for their service. I'll definitely return to buy jewelry in the future.

Mr. David Ellis is a good man. This is an authentic Jeweler who gave me a great deal on my rose gold ring and also a fantastic recommendation since I’m new to the area. I went in hopeful and left happy warmed by the welcome and grace this shop carries. I highly suggest using this company over others as integrity matters and good hearted business is the key to a good economy flow.

I was hoping to have a gold necklace appraised and possibly sold, but they locked the front door 10 minutes before closing. The woman working just looked and me and turned away. I understand coming right before close is not the best practice, and I try to avoid doing it, but the hours are the hours and this hurts the business.

On new medication. My mind wouldn't work to do math. They waited patiently, till I was feeling better. No pressure. ANYBODY else would have told me to come back later, it wasn't that big a purchase.

This is our second transaction with David Ellis. We are retired and wanted the best fair price for Rolex watches and some diamond jewelry. We feel we did receive a good deal, a second time from David Ellis. As far as dog in store, this day with all securiy concerns a dog on premises is a security necessity!

If you don't look like them, you won't get a fair and equitable offer for your items. Gold owned by Black people must not be as valuable as white people's gold. So yeah they have been in the screw you business as long they claim.
