My mother and I drive down(1+ hour) to this jeweler because they are THAT amazing. My mom had a ring that needed to be sized a couple sizes, they got it done within an hour and it was amazingly priced. The staff here is so nice and professional, they know what they are doing and talking about. Go to them!!

The owner David is incredibly rude. I went in there to resale high end jewelry. I was offered a laughable amount followed by him telling me “get a new girlfriend” to give the jewelry too and asking if I had a bike. Absolute Jack-@ss. Take your business elsewhere to not deal with the slimey owner.

I was reluctant to take my modest amount of jewelry to sell at such a prestigious place; I live simply in the foothills and am not of the more polished Cherry Creek clientele. After summoning the courage, I called David Ellis Cherry Creek and spoke with Nadine. Her personable, gentle manner put me at ease and I made an appointment right away. The entire experience was a very good one. Straightforward and still kindly in sorting out what would bring a good price, there was no rush or pressure in the process. (Spending some time beforehand, committing to which items I wanted to part with was helpful.) I left feeling fortunate in having been given a very good price, having no regrets about the items I sold, and confident that I will be a return customer in the future. I would recommend David Ellis Cherry Creek to anyone, knowing they would certainly be welcomed and treated with kindness and respect.

I went to David Ellis to sell some metal. I knew of their solid reputation, and since my time is valuable, I didn't want to spend hours or days shopping this stuff around and haggling. The owner paid a fair price. I was in and out in 45 minutes or less. We got to talking about Italy, and David went into his storage and produced a huge bag of homemade biscotti. Fantastic guy, nice staff, and a friendly German Shepherd in back. I suppose the cookies may not be part of every transaction, but they were greatly appreciated!

I recently sold a friend's engagement ring. I took it to 5 different locations (3 Jewelers, and gold & silver store and a pawn shop) as well as two online quotes from large organizations. Ellis offered a little more than the original Jeweler and considerable more than the Gold & Silver, pawn and online offers. I would absolutely recommend you take valuable items here to sell (not costume). And he'll be my first stop next time I'm in the market.

I took my jewelry in last week to have it appraised and it was a BREEZE! Everyone there was lovely and I walked out with a check.. It's easy to get to in Cherry Creek and I felt like I'd "made a friend in the jewelry industry " () Thank you David! .

I had a great experience with David Ellis. I took several items in. Some he was able to come up on, some he wasn't. Pretty straightforward. Overall, I got a reasonable price for my items, gained some education, and had a very enjoyable time.Tip: educate yourself about the jewelry business before you go here (or anywhere else) Most of the unhappy reviews are probably the result of expectations set too high.PS. I only gave 4 stars because nobody gets full retail. Haha

I bought a ring from David in 1991, when he was downtown on 16th street, and upgraded it twice in the 90's then bought another ring in 1997. I went to see David at the Cherry Creek store a few days ago and was delighted that he is still providing fair, honest and friendly service to the people of Denver. We had a good chat and he fixed me up, again. Thanks David!

This place gets a 0 from me! I had to give them a one star because you can't post a review without a star! They lowball you and they are very rude! If you want to sell jewelry or silver or gold, do not go to David Ellis! If you tell them that another jeweler gave you a higher bid, they will tell you to go back to the other place! They are very disrespectful and have no compassion! They shouldn't be in business!
