Take-out/COVID order: Was looking for something to eat after a day of moving and normally love dumplings, but knew that a take-out experience wouldn't be the best but was still pretty underwhelmed. Anticipated (correctly) that I would get soggy dumplings and was not surprised. Ordered 3 pan fried dumplings which all felt steamed and two orders of noodles.Food:-Pan fried pork dumplings - 4/5 - Very flavorful actually. Well spiced and well filled. It was the personal favorite of all the ones that were ordered. -Pan fried beef dumplings - 2/5 - Would personally pass, it was similarly seasoned to the pork ones but those were just overall better.-Pan fried veggie dumplings - 4/5 - Not sure what the filling was, but it was green and pretty flavorful. It was pleasantly surprising.-Steamed pork dumplings - 3/5 - These were extremely similar to the pan fried, steamed and healthier (i guess?)-Duck noodles vs Shrimp noodles - 2/5 - ordered both of these and they were thinner style noodles, obviously came from the same batch and they just tossed in whatever meat you ordered. Got like 6 pieces of shrimp for a 10-12$ order and the duck itself was underwhelming. Also unsure if you are supposed to get bones in the duck but I ran into atleast 4-5 smaller bones that were unpleasant and annoying.Overall: I was more disappointed than expected. The food would probably (?) be better if I was able to dine at the restaurant and enjoy the textural components of the food. Will probably pass on this next time along - could be a gem for others but not for me.

Fortune Wok is my go-to spot for dumplings. Over the course of several visits, this restaurant has delivered consistently tasty and well prepared food.. including beef Shanghainese noodles which are made in a pan but not greasy.. just flavorful and somehow clean tasting. The folks working at the restaurant seem to really care about providing a nice meal and experience and it shows in the food and calm, clean and casual ambiance. Note, I have only dined on the ground level but hope to try the upstairs dining experience soon. It offers a more extensive menu and as I understand more formal dining experience. As someone who lived in both New York and San Francisco and became accustomed to excellent Chinese restaurants I can recommend this restaurant without reservation.

The Chinese gem of cherry creek! Came here for date night craving authentic Chinese food, and we were not disappointed! Fortune Wok has a small simple menu full of authentic taste. We ordered pan fried pork dumplings (7 pieces), Shanghai style beef noodles, and Hong shao tofu. The chef is from Shanghai, and his cooking tasted like the cuisine I was used to growing up. The pork dumplings were perfectly crafted filled with a rich pork and vegetable filling. They were decent sized and served with soy sauce. The noodles tasted like the street style noodles from Shanghai served with a good portion of beef. The tofu was a bit more expensive but worth every penny. Hong shao is hard to pull off as most places tend to make it too sweet, but Fortune Wok has the perfect recipe. Check them out if you're in the cherry creek area!

I love the food here it's so good and you get huge portions. I just am sad the phone number doesn't work and I can't order pickup anywhere online.

Very hard to find Chinese food in Denver, but this place nails it - great soup and yummy dumplings. It's clean, timely, and everyone's really kind.

Really good food! I would recommend steamed dumplings over pan fried if you are getting takeout. The fried pork dumplings were a little overdone and the meat was chewy. Veggie steamed dumplings were amazing and I definitely recommend the Singapore Street noodles. Will def be back!

Best noodles and dumplings I've had in the 5 years I've been in this town. I used to drive all the way to Aurora for China Jade - I'm so glad I found something that is much closer and within delivery distance. Food tastes clean, not too many additives that you can actually taste all the ingredients (good quality ingredients) PLUS not at all greasy besides noodles and dumplings being street food.

All I have to say is YUM!!! The dumpling dough is seemingly homemade, the sauce is absolutely delicious (very vinegar forward which is my favorite) and each one is big compared to every other dumpling I've had in the US. DEFINITELY recommend

This place is one of the best places in Denver for authentic Chinese street noodles and dumplings! We always stick to the downstairs and even though there is a limited menu, every item is delicious and freshly made. The service is friendly and quick and I love supporting this local restaurant.

This review is really 3.5 stars! I ordered takeout on a Sunday night. Atmosphere: I parked in the open lot in the back. When walking towards the front of the shopping center I noticed the small door which leads to the inside of the restaurant. I am not sure if there are multiple levels but the level I was on had a few small tables with a family style table near the front door. It was perfect! Very authentic! For people who are not originally from the States or who travel frequently internationally you will love the cozy intimate feel. There were about 3 couples and the large table was filled with what seemed to be a family. Definitely a place where regulars go or for a date night. Parking: It's in Cherry Creek which in my opinion is a bit of an odd location for this type of space. It was a Sunday night in Cherry Creek so the main streets were packed-- no parking, but luckily there was a small parking lot around the back. Price: Average, the total was around $25 for Beef Noodles and Pork Dumplings. The amount easily feeds 2 people. Taste: Okay..this was my disappointment though I liked the pork dumplings, which were a bit burnt on the outside, the beef noodles fell flat. The noodles were super dry and I am not sure if the wok was too hot but some of the vegetables were burnt and the beef lacked flavor. Service: Average. The server who took the to-go order was nice enough, but also wasn't there to waste time. It's a good thing the menu is limited or else I would have felt rushed. Overall I'd visit again because I truly want to like this place! Hopefully the next experience will be better.

The best friend rice we've ever eaten. Staff was incredibly friendly and casual. We were in Denver on vacation and actually tried to go twice (we're disappointed that it was closed when we tried to return), it made such an impression. Get the fried rice if they have it, and crispy pork dumplings.

Holy moly. This is a small place and small menu but they DO IT ALL RIGHT AND AMAZINGLY WELL. I ordered veggie dumplings, shrimp fried rice and beef noodles. ALL AMAZING!! I am a HUGE noodle fan and these are some of the best I have ever had! If you're in cherry creek, GO HERE!

Best dumplings in town!!! Had the cutest Chinese woman as our server (I think she might be an owner). She joked around with us and gave us some amazing service. She was the only server and the place was packed...and she crushed it!!! Our favorite are the steamed pork dumplings. We also love the duck street noodles! It's hard to convince my husband to eat in the Cherry Creek neighborhood but he is alway willing to go here. I should definitely explain that there are 2 menus...the upstairs menu is much more upscale and the downstairs offers just dumplings and noodles. We have never eaten upstairs and in all reality probably dont "belong" upstairs. Hahaha. They only have a beer and wine license, so no cocktails or whiskey on the rocks.

An absolute gem. If you're not looking for an unnecessary amount of options and want a superb lunch or dinner, I highly recommend it. Their dumplings are delicious, the fried rice is the best I've had. Fortune sets themselves apart amidst a saturated market of Chinese food in Denver.

The best kept non secret in Denver for Chinese food. Soups, Dumplings (steamed or pan fried), Wontons, Street Noodles, and fried rices. Simple menu where you can’t go wrong. Upgrade to the river noodle regardless of whether you have a gluten allergy or not- you won’t be disappointed.

This place is the best!!! Cozy atmosphere, flawless service and the food is superb, truly. Small menu executed to perfection, exactly how it should be done. They're also vegetarian friendly! We got the dumplings, noodle soup and gluten free noodles with tofu--all highly recommended!

We met with friends at this spot for a meeting. my friend recommended this restaurant. Well, it was very successful. we were warmly welcomed by the staff and we felt good. The food was just great. We had a great time and we shall definitely come back again. Warmly recommended.

We were on the hunt for good Chinese food in Denver and stumbled across this gem. Street parking was easy to find, and although the place was small, they had a high turnover of customers coming in and leaving- we never had to wait for a table. The menu is simple: on one side is drinks, and on the other is entrees + appetizers. You can get the dumplings with 3 different kinds of protein: pork, beef, or vegetarian, and then steamed or fried. They have two different types of entrees, a noodle dish and a rice dish that you can get with different proteins as well. We enjoyed the shrimp noodles stir-fried singapore style and some fried beef dumplings! A little on the greasy side, but delicious and generous portions.

My favorite place in Cherry Creek North! Small (maybe 18 chairs inside street level), super friendly and welcoming staff, simple but amazing tasting menu. Haven't tried the upstairs, but we really want to. Order a pan fried dumpling and the river noodles or seasonal specialty to split. You can't go wrong with anything they serve (though I think the pork dumplings are the best of the options).

This very strange space in North Cherry Creek has been the graveyard of many restaurants during my time in Denver, but I think it has now found the perfect tenant. The downstairs space is confined by a staircase and the kitchen. It was set up as a bar for a long time, but the bar is gone and there's now seating for two dozen people. There's also a nice outdoor patio, shaded by a large tree. The upstairs is reserved for a formal dinner served at four tables per evening. We came for lunch, though.

Special for Chinese foods. Customers like to have an authentic food taste here. These foods are so delicious. Some of their special recipes are Pan Fried Dumplings, Seafood Hot and Sour, Vegetable Dumplings, Duck Noodles, Veggie Dumplings, Shanghai Street Noodles, etc.

This place has the most brilliant lunch menu I have ever seen with exactly three items: Jiaozi-style Dumplings, Shanghainese Street Noodles, and Jasmine Fried Rice. Each dish has a few variations. The dumplings can be steamed or fried and stuffed with pork, beef, or vegetables. The noodles and rice can be made with steak, shrimp, vegetables, or duck. There is also a gluten-free River Noodles option. That's it. We started with hot Jasmine tea. The restaurant provided beautiful, porcelain, double-walled tea cups. I had never seen these before. They act like a thermos to keep the tea hot on the inside while keeping your fingers cool on the outside. What an ingenious idea! They worked perfectly. We shared an order of seven fried pork dumplings and a plate of the duck fried rice. Simple dishes, but surprisingly tricky to get right. My friend and I agreed that both were the best executions of these dishes that we had ever tasted. I guess many people in the area agree. The restaurant was packed by noon and take-out orders were flying out of the kitchen. Every single ingredient in the fried rice was clearly fresh. The pieces of duck were moist with an intense flavor. The rice was light and fluffy and all of the ingredients were distinct and tasty without a speck of grease. The dumplings were tender and crispy, fried to perfection, and with a delicious, fresh filling. The dipping sauce was also fresh and flavorful, but not salty. The staff was helpful, efficient, and charming. The dishes came out of the kitchen quickly and were at the proper temperature. I really can't say enough good things about this restaurant. The owners know what they're doing and execute to perfection. Great job!

Went for lunch on a Saturday and all tables were taken. Small dining room. Maybe 20 min wait with no one acknowledging we were there. Service was reasonably quick, perhaps because the menu is limited. Maybe I'm really not a fan of dumplings/dumpling soup but found them boring. Fresh but not that flavorful. Too many restaurants in Denver to try, so probably won't return.

Food was good - menu was tiny (like 4 options) - Service was good - setting was nice.

Took my picky mom here for her bday. Came during a special Xmas eve menu day. Place is small but packed so I was happy that I called ahead and they saved us a table. Although the prices are like the Chinese places on alameda, my mom was very impressed with the tastes. And my mom is a picky old school Asian lady too...she is never happy eating out! Great flavors. Some highlights included their lobster dish as well as their duck chow mein. Delicious and flavorful. Really impressed. Will be back again. My mom was very happy. Thanks again! They even helped us serve her birthday cake that we brought in with us.

This was our second visit and it was even better than the first. The portions are very generous and the service is warm friendly and impeccable. It's not fancy, but the food is fantastic! The jasmine tea is so flavorful. We ordered the beef Shanghai noodle soup. The noodles were thin and chewy and the beef melt in your mouth tender. Next came the steamed pork dumplings, so tender and juicy with 7 to a portion, filled with perfectly seasoned pork. They are amazing. Finally, the winter Wonton soup with 11 perfect little purses of meat in tender noodles just provided a wonderful finish to our meal. We are huge fans of Fortune Wok to Table. Yum, yum, yum.

This place didn’t disappoint! They have a very small menu of items but the food is delicious. They pretty much serve noodles, fried rice and dumplings and that’s it. We had noodles with shrimp, and the fried pork dumplings were so good we ended up getting a second order. Service was friendly and the space is cute.

Fortune Wok to Table is a very small Chinese version of the yuppie farm to table movement, situated in the extreme yuppie area of Cherry Creek in Denver. The downstairs seating floor as very small, and the menu is limited to a few items centered on soups, noodles, and dumplings. All of which are outstanding. There is also a very small upstairs seating area, which is by reservation only. The menu for the upstairs is completely different from the downstairs, is also very limited, and is strictly formal dinner family-style Shanghai food. As they made sure to inform me, soups, noodles, and dumplings will not be served upstairs under any circumstances, so do not ask. All in all, this place is very good but it is mostly for adults and I would not bring most kids here.

Back again on Xmas eve. We found our server Jeff delightful and helpful. Our only issues were certain food items. Thrilled with: Seafood hot and sour soup, pan fried pork dumpling, duck street noodles, zhu ye qin rice drink, Gao jasmine tea beer. Disappointed with: birds nest seafood (no bird's nest although fresh and delicious seafood, tiny lobster tails), steamed vegetable dumpling, tenderloin cauliflower (lukewarm, tender but not nearly as good as the blackened tenderloin from a previous visit). Maybe it is unfair to drop a star on a holiday night. Still a very nice and creative Chinese restaurant, but not as good as our previous experience here.
