Rooms: New renovation so room was large and well appointed yet unclutteredThings I would change if I lived there:1. Huge solid sliding door to the bathroom but the little pocket door finger grip is an inadequate handle for opening and closing a 100lb door2: The Nespresso coffee maker was nice but it over filled the provided 8oz cups3. Never could connect to the cool retro Marshall radio and I’m pretty savvy with that kinda stuffWalkability: Only a few blocks to any of the Lo-Hi restaurants and bars

Life House is a very strange concept. It's like a vending machine for a hotel room. Except for when the restaurant is open, there are no staff available for anything. Supposedly you can communicate via text or through their app, however while I stayed there, no one answered my texts or messages sent through the app. If there had been an emergency of some kind, you're on your own. Pros: comfortable beds, attractive decor, smells good, nice high-end restaurant (when it's open). Cons: Housekeeping doesn't service the room during your stay; no on-site water or vending (can get water if restaurant is open), no on-site staff if you need something outside of restaurant hours; room is very dark, even with all lights on; no on-site personnel during the daytime or when restaurant isn't open; no answers to texts or messages sent through the app. We had to go out and buy a flashlight (because one of the few lights stopped working and no one responded to our requests to check it out-we asked in person, by text, and via app). And we had to buy toilet paper during our stay because no one had serviced our room after staying 2 nights. A yoga mat was provided, but there was no floor space in our room big enough for yoga. The sink in our room was tiny and had nowhere near enough space for toiletries for 4 people. It was a very strange feeling to be there at night when there were no staff or any way to contact anyone. We could hear other guests, but felt very uncomfortable about safety and security. Overall, very disappointing and frustrating experience.

Unless you park your vehicle at 12 pm, and never move it, you’re not going to get a parking spot even remotely close to this hotel. The streets are so narrow, they are slightly wider one ways when the streets are packed with vehicles. People will be squeezing by each other to fit on the road. Insanely horrible location, I wouldn’t be surprised if there was an accident. Best to park in the residential/ park area. Unless you just need to be dropped off by a rideshare service. Denver is bad for parking anyways, but this location somehow topped downtown Denver.Aside from that, the self check in was easy and the rooms are very nice. It seems to be in a nicer area and there’s lots of little shops and food options nearby.

Beautiful decor, great neighborhood, good stuff within walking distance. BUT sadly, the hotel had problems. The most significant problem here is the motion-activated lights in the bathroom, in both the toilet/shower room and the outer sink/wardrobe room. The lights turn on at the slightest movement, and they are BRIGHT when they come on. You can adjust the brightness level with a button, but once the timer runs out and the lights turn off, they default back to their brightest setting and come back on again at full brightness. This is a big problem, as in the middle of the night if you need to use the bathroom, the light absolutely blinds you and you can't see a thing. To combat this problem, we had to cover the motion sensor with paper and tape to prevent the lights in the sink/wardrobe room from turning on at all. Another problem with the motion lights is in the shower room - the timer on the lights is quite brief, and the lights shut off twice during each shower, leaving me showering in the dark.Also:- The room was so dark that even with all lamps turned on and the curtains open in broad daylight, I had to use a flashlight to see what I was getting out of my suitcase.- There were more robe or coat hooks on the wall near the foot of the bed, but they were unusable - if something was hanging there, there would be no clearance through the NARROW space between the foot of the bed and the wall.- The aforementioned narrow passage between the foot of the bed and the wall was problematic, as there were only a few inches of room to squeeze through, and the wall corner at that location is RIPE for stubbed toes.- The sink has no counter space at all, so there's almost nowhere to place the items you need while getting ready.- The shower had a small shelf on which to place some toiletries, but its location was bad - it's right where you are standing, and I whacked my elbow painfully on it a couple of times.- The sink faucets are very short - they're so low that when you're rinsing the soap off your hands, you are forced to touch the bottom of the sink, which is kind of gross.- The pocket doors on the bathroom are VERY loud.- The mini fridge made an absolute RACKET the entire time.- The walls are very thin. We could hear our neighbors' conversation perfectly.- Not enough hangars in the wardrobe.- The Apple TV remote and/or app didn't work.

This cannot be described as a hotel. The decor is nice enough, the rooms are spacious. But beyond that we were not impressed. No tissues in the room? The bathrooms are very odd, two motion sensors for the two lights in the bathroom? Prepare to be blinded if you need to get up early morning to pee! The shower has no light in it, so that’s very dark. Signs of leaking from the shower, the door frame flaking away and some mold on the shower ceiling.Checkin is self service, not too much of an issue. If you do need anything, good luck getting a hold of somebody onsite or using the app chat function or the telephone number provided. Nobody picked up. Neither were answered after a day.We did finally see somebody onsite on the last day of our stay. He was very helpful and friendly and we were able to stow our bags after we checked out.I just don’t think you can describe yourself as a hotel when there are no amenities or any real kind of service.

This is my favorite place to stay in Denver. Sometimes there are issues checking in, but i have found the folks in the restaurant are very responsive and have yet to encounter an issue that wasn’t easily addressed. Speaking of the restaurant, it is absolutely worth a visit.

Cool concept but not relaxing if there is one small hiccup in checking-in. The rooms were designed well however the plants were dead and shower hooks and hardware were broken. The shower didn’t feel clean. Unfortunately probably not going to recommend.

Really enjoyed my stay except for a few things. When it comes to getting ahold of anyone from the front desk it is impossible. Had a hard time checking in (self check-in) it was confusing. The rooms were absolutely beautiful. The bed was extremely comfortable (208-B) The hotel smelt amazing. The housekeeper Dawn was my hero. She stored my bags, helped me check-in. And was extremely welcoming. Hands down to you.

Worst check in experience— waited at the front desk for over an hour and no one showed up or responded. No one available to store my bags while the room was getting prepped. Cleaning staff ended up helping me because no one else was there, very grateful for them.

I am super disappointed in the stay I had here. I had read some reviews prior to booking about the noise but was hoping that was just an unlucky experience people had. Unfortunately, the noise isn’t just from your neighbors. It is from the restaurant downstairs. The music / loud banging goes till at least 2AM. I was there two nights and had horrible sleeps because of the noise. The beds were pretty comfortable, and the rooms were nice but that DOES NOT justify the price of this place. I am bummed that I paid as much as I did, and I promise you are way better off staying somewhere else. The idea of the hotel is interesting, as it is all self-service and very difficult to impossible to get any help from staff as they are not on site and are horrible at responding quickly. Part of what you pay when you go to a hotel is the hospitality and customer service, which this hotel definitely lacks. Again, please reconsider from staying here. I was hoping my experience would be better than others, however it was just the same if not worse. To the hotel staff — fix the noise problem. It is not okay.

Charming part of town Coffee shops and restaurants nearby (walking). Room charming and comfortable as well. The bed sagged a bit. I’m not one for no customer service present. I found it confusing to check in and figure out how to get a key card made (kiosk available at 1st floor exit door) I did not even hear back after leaving a voice message on the first day trying to check in- that was frustrating. I left a message the 2nd day in morning due to no TV service and didn’t hear back until 4pm. Another big complaint and warning to future guests is to Not stay in room 205 or on second floor above the restaurant directly below. The noise was so loud and sounded like furniture being constantly moved and doors slamming until 2am! Even with earplugs it was hard to sleep! I will stay somewhere else next time.

Wow. I can't recommend this place enough. Stayed here for a work trip and so glad I was able to experience this incredible boutique hotel.I arrived a little early for check-in and right when you enter, there is a tiny waiting room with an elevator. They had a sign that said between certain hours, you can actually head up the elevators to the next floor to check-in on an Ipad. I ended up trying that, but it didn't work haha, which honestly is because I booked the hotel through a website for work so I'm assuming that's why. I waited another ten minutes in the lobby area and when 3pm hit, they opened the doors to the hotel lobby/restaurant area. Also, I need to mention how incredible it smelled in the lobby. Seriously. This entire place thought of everything, even down to the smell. I loved it. Omg how dreamy and beautiful it is!! I was able to check-in with one of the girls in the lobby and it was seamless. She told me all about how the hotel worked. Typically, they don't have anyone there after 7pm but they have numbers in the hotel room if it's an emergency and you need something. They also sadly had a buyout for the restaurant so I didn't get to experience it, but definitely will come back and check it out next time I'm in Denver.Okay now for my room. HOLY WOW! I was on the third floor and the ceilings were soooo high. I've never had a room like that before. These rooms are so clean and beautiful. I felt more like I was staying at a friends cozy guest room than a hotel, which was amazing. They also came by the next day and made my bed and freshened up my room, too, which was so nice. The bed was also super comfy, too, which I appreciated. The location of this hotel is also super ideal. There is a restaurant across the street and a couple steps further is a coffee shop. Seriously such a great spot to stay within walking distance of some cool spots.I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would definitely recommend this hotel!

Design and decor was hands down amazing and beautiful and far exceeded our expectations. Now for the negatives (which I would have happily saved for the owner but again they are non-existant).-Not being able to get any communication or calls back from voice-mails left.-Standing in a freezing cold room trying to check ourselves in and make keys for ourselves. Please heat the lobby.- Our room was 58 degrees upon arrival and the heat comes from the top of a 20' ceiling so it took hours literally for our room to get to a comfortable temp.- Shower does not drain well- Mini fridge did not cool well- TV had no directions no cable no streaming services and is essentially useless. It does not pull out from the wall either so you cannot see the TV from any bed only if you sit on the couch which we could not do.- I can not tell what it is exactly but there is a construction company next door r something and some type of loud jackhammer noise till 11pm and again starting at 7am.I feel bad pointing out these items as most of them could easily be remedied by simple tweaks from the owners. I hope that is what happens from this post as this place could be really great.
