Old Friends TC has a nice selection of Native American Indian items and Turquoise Jewelry; in fact, it is probably the nicest turquoise store in Grand Junction. However, it is high priced as compared to other shops that we have shopped at for the last several years. The customer service from the regular clerks is good, but they all defer to the elder manager, who is pretty frosty. If you question the price of a $2,000 bracelet that is usually $700-$800 at other stores, then the deal is off and she refuses to discuss further. The price is the price, and cash does not mean anything. As you can imagine, the inventory does not move very fast; there are many items that have been in the cases for over two years, as I took pictures of the same items two years ago.If you have plenty of money, then this is the place for you, they have beautiful pieces. If not, then try stores in Moab & Durango for better prices, or Shiprock and Gallup for the best prices (2-3x’s cheaper).

I bought a bolo tie from this fine establishment this afternoon. They are the most pleasant and helpful folks you can find anywhere. They have a beautiful store filled with authentic Native American art and jewelry. When in the area stop by and check them out.

They are old friends now. If we need SouthWest decor, jewelry or other accessories we head to " Old Friends Trading Co." Prices are a bit stiff but in the back of my mind I hope the trader is treating the native artisans with equal payment and respect.

First thing to know about Old Friends Trading is it's the sister store to the one in Cortez (Notah Dineh, that has been in business for 57 years). It's been on main street since May of 2017, and is still going strong. Not only does it have a pleasant selection for unique gift ideas, but by far has been the best shop in Grand Junction for AUTHENTIC Native American items including jewelry & art--- Items you can't find online; at least not knowing if it's the real deal. They get new items in every few weeks to a month, and it's always great to see the fresh selection(s).Merchandise aside, the staff & owner is kind and quite helpful the moment you step inside the shop.

Very disappointed that they don't do returns. I spent $85 on a silver and copper cuff bracelet that ended up not being the right fit for my husband. I went to return it and they only do store credit. There wasn't any sign at the register stating they don't do returns and the clerk didn't warn me either. Definitely not happy with my experience at Old Friends.
