We spent more time driving than actually time spent in the zoo! My grandson and I were very disappointed as there wasn’t much to see 1 sleeping tiger and the farmyard empty except for a few animals We were done walking through the zoo in 40 minutes

It is a wonderful little zoo to visit. The animals seem very well taken care of and there is just enough to see before you get worn out. A lot of fun overall!

I recommend Beardsley Zoo. What a great place. Not too huge, perfect for kids and adults of all ages. We love to visit the beautiful gift shop on the way out to further support this wonderful place!
Let your curiosity run wild! Connecticut’s only zoo, celebrating its 100th year, features 350 animals representing primarily North and South American and Northern Asian species. Other highlights include our new Spider Monkey Habitat, the Rainforest Building, the prairie dog exhibit, and the Pampas Plain with Giant anteaters and Chacoan peccaries. Guests can ride on the carousel, grab a bite from the Peacock Café and eat in the Picnic Grove.
