The downtown location always has GREAT graphic novels and hard to find foreign films! Been going there for years, and I highly recommend it to anyone who has yet to experience it!

This is a special place. You can’t find anything else like it. A visit is a strange and enjoyable experience, and I was very impressed. The staff, and gorgeous cats were both amazing.

Amazingly not just a used book store. It's a whole experience!!! I didn't even make it into the main building! The outside sheds are filled with all kinds of books. From classics like War and Peace to cookbooks and instructionals to poets and beautifully bound books! There's a garden with a koi pond, and a couple of other little ponds, gargoyles and an area to sit and read. They also purchase used books. I was at the main store, there are two others: Book Barn Downtown and Chapter 3. Multiple visits are a must in this cool area. Rocky Neck State Park is not far from there. Make a day of it!!!

Come with a few empty bags & plenty of time. There are so many fun buildings and nooks to explore inside & outside. Used books at a great price.

Used to love coming here, but the past two times, there's been really questionable oversexualized music playing in the shop. This is the location for all the kids books. Not exactly what you want your kids hearing as they're looking for new reads.

I can't find a thing in this place. Is it organized by author? Or Title? Who knows. Seems like a store for people who like to rummage through random books. Wish there was more organization. Unfortunately, since I couldn't find anything, I decided to ask the gentleman at the register. He proceeded to give me a heaping pile of attitude. He made me feel like an idiot for not knowing his magical book finding system. I love these types of stores but I will never return to this one. I'll give my business that I would have gave them, to Amazon instead.

This site is right in the downtown area! It is "smaller" than the barn, but is home to their science fiction, fantasy, horror, classic kids books, and books on religious topics. Each of the three locations has a selection of different genres (please also refer to my review for their other location). It is a quaint place with a great little selection. It is like a walk down memory lane to see some of the vintage covers and copies of books by Robert Heinlein, Stephen King, Terry Brooks, Madeline L'Engle. Some great titles and many for a dollar! Wonderful!

Squeezed a quick trip in on a roadtrip to NE, loved the concept but there are several locations (all within a mile) and the organization leaved something to the imagination. Apparently all the books I wanted were at a different location and we didn't have time to visit all the locations. I guess it would be worth a trip if you were just browsing and had time to look all day.

Love this place!! All the comic books and all! I love visiting the book barn. It is absolutely a win to get to go there. I think it's haunted but I'm not sure
