Needed tools in a pinch. Came in hand. The saw chain broke and (although a quick fix) i didn't know how to fix so job took a bit longer than expected. I suggest to ask service agent to give a quick fix tutorial on common issues. The service tech was very polite and accommodating.

If you dont know the exact names of the tools they got mad and rude, also they just want you out of there fast so they can go back to talk each other about their weekend. Apparently they dont know their are renting tools to regular people who may dont know exactly what they need and not just pro-contractors.

I have to say, for the most part, the staff at this Home Depot are excellent several days ago. I purchased a sprayer for the lawn and it proved to be defective. I returned it with no problem only to get a second one that also proved to be defective. In the meantime, I lost the receipt and was issued a store credit which I was told could be used to order a sprayer of higher quality that was not carried in the store and that was online. I asked if that ordering could be done in the store and was told no it had to be done online. I went online to try to order the item that I wanted and the website told me that I could not use the store credit online and it had to be used in the store when I called up to talk to somebody at the customer service desk I was greeted with such a rude response and the woman did absolutely nothing for me. I talked to the Assistant or acting store manager, who had no solution to the problem Management at this place is woefully substandard and needs to be retrained the staff in the aisles are superb.

Unfortunately, the items I needed in the Home Depot in Orange were not in stock. They sent me to the Hamden store. After spending five minutes looking for someone to help me, I was able to find the items I needed. The store was not in the same clean condition as the one in Orange. I would feel more comfortable shopping in Hamden if there was a security guard or two visible. In view of the increase in crime committed in Hamden, I do believe the store would be doing more business with additional staff.

One of our employees was at the Pro Desk to exchange a tool that was swapped out last week because it caught on fire. Goes to the Hamden store. Customer was horrible, associate in the phone, she forgot to put me on hold and was speaking to another associate and was speaking rude about me and was extremely rude to my employee who was at the store. With the amount of money that my Boss spends here everyday this type of Service is unacceptable

I went to this location to buy some lumber and get it cut. I was in the cutting center for 40 min waiting for Alex..who never showed.. 4 different employees called for him over the loud speaker.. no Alex.. thankfully Jason came to the rescue to help me, he was very professional and generous. Alex needs to get his s*** together

Purchased carpet from this location a week ago and was told the installers would call me the next day. Still haven’t heard from them so I called the store. It is extremely difficult to get through to a person. When I finally got through, the woman I spoke to was extremely rude. I explained the scenario and noted that i was told it would be installed within 7 days. She asked who told me that. I said it’s printed on the receipt. She was extremely short, not helpful and I’m very frustrated with this process.

Truly horrible service. First, no one showed up to help the clerk and me lift this 250lb rental aerator into my car. Second, when I returned I was charged more in a cleaning fee than the rental fee itself. The clerk never mentioned I had to return it clean, probably because she was exhausted from the lift. Oh, and no one showed up to help us unload it either. Not the place for a lay person to go for their rental.

I was so happy to hear that Hamden Home Depot had generators when I needed one . I called all over the state and was lucky enough to be told Hamden Home Depot was just receiving a shipment of generators when we needed them!!!I had been meaning to get mine fix, but time got away from me.... and long story short, I needed one ASAP along with many others. Everyone at the store was so helpful and polite. Even the manager took the time to out of her busy job, to help my push this very heavy generator to the register. The store was clean and check out was so fast , I couldn't believe it . I only wish this store was closer....Thank you Home Depot for being there when we needed you...and thank you for all your help.
