A great neighborhood gem. I showed up with kids, going fishing for the first time. The store is packed with stuff and the owner was friendly and happy to share tips for a sport he clearly has a passion for.

Guy tried to charge my 15 year old $43 for 3 frozen mackerel. I’ve found hi odd behavior tolerable in the past (if you’ve been in you know what I mean) but to rip a kid off is going over the line. The guy is not worth your business. Go another mile down the road

There are much better options for bait and fishing gear in the area where you don't have to deal with price gouging. My 15 year old son went in yesterday to buy mackerel and was told 3 frozen mackerel are $43.00. It's $7.00 for the same bait another mile down the road. Guy is a total scam

Seems to be a common theme with this place man doesn't wear a mask then forces other to wear them reading the reviews shows im not the only one to see how rude this man is to customers and how he tried to force them to do something he himself won't do then rudely comments on reviews showing how disgusting and unprofessional he is I hope no one shops here

This place is outrageously overpriced. An SP minnow is about $10 give or take at nearly any tackle shop. Here? $18. Also, strict mask requirements, but he doesn't wear one himself. He's just a genuinely rude and defensive guy. That is evident from his responses to the other comments here telling people he "assumes they can read, etc." I've literally never left a review on anything before, positive or negative, but this place warrants it. If you want to pay double and be treated like he's annoyed that you're in his shop, stop on by. If not, there are tons of other shops with fair prices and friendly staff where your money would be better spent.

trying to support local business, I had $500 cash in my pocket ready to buy a rod and reel. I was denied entry for not having a mask. I did not have one with me, and if he had offered one I would have worn it. but he turned his back and walked inside rudely. with service like that, no wonder mom and pop shops are disappearing. guess the internet gets my money again!

Extremely overpriced compared to other tackle shops nearby. They do have a mask mandate (no big deal) and their bait is old. Don’t waste your time and money.

I have not been there for several years but have always had a good experience in this store. My five stars go out to this guy just for his responses below. Good for him! FINALLY, someone who owns their own place and isn't afraid to stand up for himself and his business. Clearly a bunch of self centered, entitled, self important babies crying in here! I bet my hat that if 99% of you showed a little respect and common courtesy you would have had a better time in there. It hurts when you realize the world doesn't owe you something? Well, I'll be in the store next week to pick up some crabbing stuff and hopefully a fishing license and will definitely give this man an ATTA BOY for sticking up to your types. I'm sure he's glad you won't be back. I'll be sure to show him how to remove some of your terrible reviews that are so obviously YOU just taking your wounded pride out on the business. Try acting like an observant, caring and empathetic human being and you might be surprised how pleasant your experiences are.

Came in to find clamming gear not available online or several weeks out for delivery. I got it here. A real gentleman and respectful. I guess you'll find what you are looking for. Local knowledge and respect.
