What a difference between this HD and the one in East Haven.. This store was clean, well stocked, and employees who were actually going out of there way to help. Is the East Haven store some kind of experiment?

I am all about good customer service wherever I go yesterday maybe 630-715 I stopped the North Haven location by to get a key made. I stood at the key kiosk as your employee just went on and on with another customer who had several keys to get made but also looking at designs etc. Your employee never once said I will be with you or what was it I was just standing waiting for???? Another employee I saw I asked her where the key kiosk located (not knowing it's not self made but employee made) she pointed to it. Later she came back and saw me still standing there and said to the other employee who was still there talking (lolly gagging) with the customer instead getting her keys made I will make her key after seeing what was happening; the main key maker made those eyes at her like in a whatever or okay fine attitude. Thanks to that employee who assisted me in making my key I wished I had gotten her name. Something that took her 5mins took to do for me took 15-20 mins because your other employee was lolly gaging instead of multitasking and had me just waiting with no acknowledgement of any kind...Kudos to her who assisted me, you need more of her in your business. I don't like rating places with poor reviews but sometimes it has to be done and that one employee cause you to get 1 star on this visit...

I purchased a bag of Quikrete from Home Depot in North Haven. The concrete was already cured in the bag. I return it for a refund and asked for a free bag. Why I asked for a free bag was that the trip to Home Depot took 25 minutes due to construction. Also I was going to pour the concrete during my lunch break. Gas was also a factor. I've spent close to $40,000 at this Home Depot. All I was looking for was a free bag of Quikrete, priced at $5.17. The woman that came over to speak to me said I should have check the bag before purchasing. Unless I have x-ray vision you cannot identify this issue unless the bag is opened. The was rude and denied my request. So they could give me a free bag, value $5.17 which would have kept me happy with the store. So now I will be going to Lowe's. I guess denying a free $5.17 bag of concrete is better than losing my business that will run to thousands of dollars over time. What is wrong with their customer service???? Update: I finally found a woman at Home Depot that was awesome. She realized this was bad customer service and now they will give me a new bag of Quikrete for free. Just wish I didn't have to go through this for something that costs $5.17, but it's more the principal.

Second part of the saga.....installation day....6/6/2022. Let me tell you what is going on. So your Home Depot Manager just called me and said he was on his way to deliver my dishwasher. Unfortunately, I did not need my dishwasher delivered. I need my Bosch dishwasher installed. Dennis said they don't install......they deliver. Dennis said he will have someone call me tomorrow and let me know when they will install. Dennis asked if I had the box I need to do the install. I told Dennis I have everything they told me I need. He said it is a shame they don't tell us (customers) everything we need to know. And my Bosch dishwasher is still not installed. Everybody at Home Depot that communicates with me (email, phone call, text) apologizes to me but no one takes ownership of getting the problem solved. I don't really feel that any of them really give a damn. So sad. I have completely lost faith in Home Depot. I don't trust that they will do anything they say. By the way, earlier around 2pm when I talked to the rep at Home Depot they said that they missed my 9:30am to 1:30pm install window today was because the person who was going to do the install was very old and had 3 more appointments before me. I fully expected the person who called me (Dennis) to be very old and moving slowly. Nothing in Dennis' voice sounded old. I think they lied to me throughout this entire experience and I believe they continue to lie........No one cares at Home Depot. No one person takes ownership to see that things get done as promised. Purchased new washer and dryer for our new house this summer. House was delayed so appliance sat unused until now. We moved in and went to use washer was fine but dryer didn't work. First call to Home Depot told me I am SOL after 48 hours you have to call the appliance company. Asked which one I have and said Samsung, and they said "Good Luck". Called Samsung and had tech check machine out. They took the machine apart and found bent frame, inside. Outside is perfect. Well you end up In the middle out your money with a dead dryer. Would never buy from either again. Time to return to mom and pop appliance stores.

Ordered cabinets, with Phil. He's the only reason I'm giving this review stars, because he was very knowledgeable and friendly while steering us through the ordering process. Wait time for cabinets was to be 5 weeks. 8 weeks later, I get in touch with Phil, for an update since we still don't have the cabinets. Upon checking on the order, he informs us that there was a "computer glitch" between them and the cabinet company, and the order was never placed. Now the cabinet company is scrambling to get our cabinets to us. Wait time.....another month. We are moving into this house in a few weeks, with a gutted kitchen. At this point we will have to set up a utility sink, and live out of boxes for weeks for our dishes/cooking and bakeware, and pantry food. Not happy AT ALL.

I had the following experience at "Home Debacle" In North Haven, CT 1) On 9.5.2020 at the Home Depot store in North Haven, CT, I paid $1176.22 for a new Samsung range; delivery, removal of old range and installation of the new range by a licensed plumber. 2) On 10.6.2020, (document Name: Shipper's Number 1019317706; Delivery ID: 18GK00284684) Shawn, a delivery man contracted by Home Depot, delivered the range but told us due to "insurance issues" his team could not lift the range over our counter-tops and into the kitchen. They left the range in my vestibule. However, according to Shawn, if I called a moving company "at this number" they would be able to lift the range over the counter tops. This phone number is on said document. I placed two calls to the North Haven Home Depot Appliance department; I spoke with Tom in the appliance department. I asked Tom to have Jonathan, the appliance department manager to call me; Tom said Johnathan would call me back in 15 minutes. 3) On 10.7.2020, I placed another call to the North Haven Home Depot Appliance department, this time, Chris told me Jonathan was coming in at 2:00 p.m. and he would inform him of my concerns. As of 10.10.2020, I have not received a call from Jonathan. With Home Depot unable to find a reliable, trustworthy mover, I hired a moving team from Abode and Beyond; total charge $325.22. Using the exact same type of harnesses Shawn and his team used, two skinny movers from Adobe and Beyond, spent 15 minutes moving the range from my living room into the kitchen. 4) On 10.7.2020 at 5:30 p.m. EST, I spoke with Lauren from the Home Depot call center in Utah, I explained my dire predicament. She urged me to send her an email with copies of the receipts and relevant pictures; as directed, I sent her an email with the attachments at 5:43 p.m. EST. Just as I never heard back from Jonathan, I never heard back from Lauren. 5) On 10.8.2020, Miguel, a Home Depot contracted plumber, uninstalled my old range and installed a new Samsung range; immediately after completing the installation, Miguel determined the touchscreen was defective BUT he assured me he'd come back and haul away the old range. Throughout the afternoon of 10.8.2020, Miguel promised me, on three different occasions, that "he was on his way." With the same callousness and utter disregard for my situation as shown to me by Jonathan and Lauren, Miguel never came back to finish the job. 6) On 10.9.2020, having been without a working stove for close to 5 days, with two defective ranges sitting in my already cramped kitchen, and with Home Depot unable to find a reliable plumber, (so we could at least have access to a working stove top), we hired Lenny's Plumbing to disconnect and move the defective Samsung range and re-install our old range. As he has a well-earned reputation for honesty, professionalism and the ability to do "same day as initial call work," (in an email to Evelyn) at the North Haven Home Depot, I strongly urged her to call Lenny's Plumbing, she never contacted him) I hired Lenny's Plumbing. On 10.9.2020, Lenny completed this task in less than 25 minutes and within 60 minutes of my initial call to him. Please see the attached receipt-total charge: $125.00. The sight of two defunct ranges sitting in my kitchen was causing my blood pressure to rise into what my doctor calls, the danger zones. 7) On 10.9.2020, late in the afternoon, the Samsung range was finally removed by two Home Depot employees: Charles and an unnamed associate. 8) On 10.10.2020 at 8:52 a.m., I received a call from a contracted Home Depot mover who informed me he was on his way to my home ("I'm 15 minutes out.") to pick up the Samsung range. In complete dismay, I told him it had been picked up on 10.9.2020 by the assistant manager of the North Haven Home Depot. 9) Cost of being held hostage in my own home for four days by the ineptitude of leadership at the Home Debacle In North Haven, CT (waiting for callbacks, deliveries, emails to be returned

Never have lumber carts inside because employees just too lazy to bring them in from the parking lot. Have had this problem at least 4 times. One visit employees tried to grab a lumber cart I was loading because of no carts and I had to threaten them with calling the manager. Today no lumber carts, and when I asked an employee he suggested I take a cart I know a customer was in the midst of loading. So I just walked out and took my $200 purchase to Lowes. This place has awful stocking. Right now this place has been out of Deckmate screws in nearly every size for 3 weeks. Visited here to get a vent a month ago and the only one in stock looked like 3 people had jumped up and down on it and had around 10 years dust and dirt on it. Have bought boxes with stuff missing so have avoid any box from this place that looks like it might have been opened like the plague. Have been hit by an employee driving a lift at this place. Home Depot North Haven is a badly managed dump.

Worst customer service. The customer service representative, Chris was very unprofessional and rude! I had to wait 20 days to get my order delivered to home. They have scheduled my delivery multiple times and postponed for three days in a row. After all these hassle, some of the items I received were also partially damaged but I didn't want to go to the store so I just spoke with the manager about it. I would never visit this store again.

Don't believe them when they hand you that hassle free warrantee stuff. I bought a lawn mower from them in June. The drive mechanism chocked today. Once your purchase is 30 days old the warrantee entitles you to pay $20 for their mechanic to diagnose it. They get to decide if it is covered or not. Also if you buy a piece of equipment in the North Haven store and it breaks....dont bring it back there. You will have to load it back up and bring it to Hamden. Despite the fact that you can purchase equipment there, you cannot have it serviced there. Both my wife and I have, and use HD credit accounts there. But.....we have them at Lowe's too. Perhaps we should shop there from now on.

Went to get a board, it needed to be cut, of course no was around.Found someone in another dept, they called for someone, 15 minutes later someone cut my board. (Not the one they called but someone from the electrical dept) Asked if I needed a ticket , so the price would be on the board he said no. Well I did need it, so more time wasted. When I got home the board wasn't even cut to the correct length. I'll just go to Lowe's and buy a saw and do it myself. Definitely not going back .

NEVER BUY APPLIANCES from here!! We have been lied to and deceived multiple times since buying our washer an dryer. I am very frustrated with the customer service I have received so far. On October 21st I ordered a Maytag washer and dryer set from my local Home Depot in North Haven, CT. I worked with Mike in appliances who at that time told me the appliances would be delivered on October 27th. We were specifically instructed to inspect at delivery but NOT to allow the delivery individuals to install the appliances. Mike said that we would receive a call on Sunday for installation. Saturday the appliances were delivered and the delivery service had no idea why they were not being allowed to install the appliances. In the evening of the 27th I went back into Home Depot to ask about the installation and Mike denied everything he said. He then said we would get a call on Monday. By Monday afternoon we had not received a phone call, so we called. The delivery service said that what we were told was a lie and no one was ever going to call. Our installation is scheduled for Thursday, November 1st which is not good enough. I have a family of four and we have had no working washer and dryer in two weeks. We were lied to bye Home Depot. I want answers. I want my appliances installed tomorrow not Thursday. I have spoken to the assistant manager and all he would do is offer to pay for an outside plumber that we found. We can't find a plumber to come out before Thursday. It is not fair to us that we have to wait to have our appliances installed because of this employees mistake. I want Mike reprimanded and I want my appliances installed ahead of this Thursday. We had previously bought a washer from Home Depot and were so happy with the service we returned. I would NEVER recommend or buy from Home Depot again. Please don't make the same mistake we made!
