I had to leave because of the mold and musty smell. But what I saw was great.

Nice primitive selection. Great hutch/bench tables, cupboards, stepbacks. Fairly priced for New England and the Mystic area. 99% authentic prims. Not so sure about some of the "original paint" items in my knowledgeable opinion. Owner full of knowledge.

Now THIS is a legitimate antiques shop!!! I haven't been in such a quality shop in over 20 years - no lie! The proprietor knows her business through and through. I think I need to find new homes for my own antiques so I can grace my home with these authentic and rich pieces. Each item in the shop has a warm story to tell. You walk in the door and you can just FEEL the history! Stop in - you won't be disappointed.

This is an amazing local antiques store. They have one of a kind pieces that date back to the revolutionary war. Just walking the floor was amazing as the owner gave us the history and lineage of many of the pieces. She has amazing furniture, framed pictures, boxes, drying racks, wooden bowls, and many other items. While pricey for the average antique doppler, her items are one of a kind and sometimes 1/2 the prices of others. It is definitely worth a visit!

Purchased several beautiful, high quality pieces from this shop over the past few years. The owner has an encyclopedic knowledge of antiques and wonderful way of educating shoppers ...on styles, materials, joinery techniques, construction, historic significance, provenance of her pieces. Prices are extremely fair. A lovely family-owned shop.

An exciting find in today's world of fewer real antique shops. Big, charming, and just far enough off the beaten path. A wide variety of furniture, garden, and occasionally industrial all at reasonable prices. I never leave empty handed.

I have been coming to this store for decades. I always find the best pieces and at really great prices. This is my favorite antique store in all of New England. I'm hesitant to write this review because I want everything for myself. I've found some really nice old cupboards here to duck decoys and tiger maple pieces! I like it better than the shop I went to in Stonington my piece I got from this other store is falling apart

The only reason I give Holly Hock Antiques one star is because I can't leave zero stars. My wife and I were visiting Mystic this past weekend and stopped in to see what was offered in Holly Hock. We saw a nice big bowl priced at $200. Because it was so big we wanted to think about where we could put it in the house to look good. We told the lady we would be back tomorrow. When we came back she said the price was no longer $200 it was $1000. She said we had our opportunity the day before and now that she had spent 15 minutes on the internet she figured it was worth $1000. We walked out - never to return. Arrogant, rude and greedy!! I hope she chokes on it. Do not waste you time in this armpit of a store.

I just visited and was not happy with the way my family was treated. My son was looking at a table and was interested in the mechanics of the table (it folded down) and was told it's 1700s he was questioning the woman who owns and she said we should leave so we did and she proceeds to follow us to the door and then says you should stick around to learn something. And her stuff is way over priced she's a collector
