This is one of the nicest stop and shops in the area. Each section of the store is fully stocked and has some of the largest ranging options in the area. I love coming here after work to pick up some items quickly. It's never busy. The store is very clean and its always stocked. The staff are very friendly. They always make sure that my shopping experience went well, and I found everything that I was looking for.I love coming here over going to ShopRite across the street as there's plenty of parking and never crowded.

I'm new to the area so finding my new go to grocery store is tricky, but I have really appreciated this Stop & Shop. It seems to be pretty quiet compared to the other grocery stores in the area, which is a big plus. The place has A nice open field to it, the bakery section has so much space which I appreciate as opposed to feeling congested like in some stores. Sometimes the produce in the isles can be a hit or miss in terms of coupons, deals, and missing items. For some reason there was a lot of produce missing (mostly the herbs and some other items) but I did go at 8pm so perhaps it was sold out? The rest of the store though has great products- specifically great international food options. There are German candies that my partner really enjoys- and they're here! Nowhere else I've ever seen them at. Plus, great Mexican food products like Maseca and Mexican crema. Some of the aisles look a little crazy, they seem to be doing some reorganizing, but it's fine. Stop n shop in general is a good store, some products are definitely cheaper elsewhere (red onions are $2.5/lb whereas they are $2 or less a pound elsewhere) but it's my ol' reliable and has some good pros to it that make it worth it!

It's fairly a good store, but needs a little help.i thunk it could be much better if they had more variety of item like shop rite. I would shop more if stop and shop had more items I would give it a 6 out of 10

Sad, apathetic staff. Even at the customer service booth where I inquired about my stop and shop loyalty card did not know how to reissue my card. It is a last resort if I ever go there.

Great supermarket as it is always empty compared to Shop Rite across the street, which is always busy. It does have its flaws. Deli kiosk and number system has been out of service for time. Hardly see staff at the counter. Cashiers are fine. One thing I do like about it : more upper class shoppers than shop rite. Try it out

I went to Stop & Stop today at 5:34PM to get propane. I payed for it and then the guy told me that I HAD TO GO FIND THE GUY THAT DOES THE CARRIAGES OUTSIDE. WHO ARE THEY TO TELL ME TO GO FIND THE PERSON THAT DOES THE CARRIAGES. That is ridiculous. And the customer service was closed. Customer service was closed so I had to wait in line. This place is ridiculous. I'm never going here again.

This store has improved in the area of customer service, but only a pinch! I'm from NY, so am used to a tough crowd. The cashiers have improved some in their manners and politeness, but they still have a long way to go!

This store has made some adjustments for the COVID outbreak like plastic barriers at the cashiers, however their workers are not provided masks or gloves. My cashier had to touch all my items without gloves or mask. There is rarely a manager around to speak to. No wonder this store is empty of customers while Shoprite across the street practically is always hopping. Get a clue!! Thank you for your reply, Victoria, however I was at the same store today and again it was terrible. Either the staff isn't being properly educated in the covid virus propensity to last on surfaces or they are not managed or monitored properly. I counted eight workers stocking items in vegetable, dairy, meat, spice and checkout without gloves. I was so upset that I requested the manager. Again, she wasn't available. I did speak with the assistant manager, who told me that workers are supposed to wear them. NO KIDDING!! Then she told me that they were wearing them when not ten feet from us was a cashier touching every item without gloves. People are sick and dying from covid. This isn't a joke. We can't avoid supermarkets. Learn to manage your store and workers correctly. We are at the mercy of your irresponsible behaviors.

If you want the highest prices and the rudest cashiers this is the place to shop. The manager of this store should be ashamed. Right across the street there is a Shop Rite, which is a much better choice. Of course, because it's so much better, it's more crowded.

This is a fairly good Stop & Shop, but it's gone downhill over the past year. It's one of the largest Stop & Shops in the area, and is very spacious and open. The store is very clean and very well lit. I especially like how clean, bright, and spacious their floral department, book display, and seasonal areas look. The store is well stocked and carries a huge selection of products. The floral department is excellent. They had a wide selection of very nice, beautiful flowers. They also had some really pretty seasonal decorations. The bakery is also great. While their selection of baked goods is a bit more limited here, the bakery items all looked fresh and delicious. I liked how they decorated the cakes. The deli was good. The chicken they had out was all fresh and hot. The sandwiches looked fresh and tasty, but like the bakery, selection was quite limited in comparison with other Stop & Shops. Deli meats looked fresh and were well stocked. The produce was good here. All the various fruits and vegetables looked fresh and were well stocked. I liked how spacious the produce department was. The meat looked good for the most part, but again the selection was very limited . This store doesn't seem to have a butcher onsite anymore. Also, this store has no seafood counter, instead they only have frozen fish. For seafood, you'd have to go the Ridgeway (Bedford St) location. The dairy section here was well stocked. Unfortunately, there are a few noticeable issues here. The staff here are some of the rudest I've encountered at a Stop & Shop. Most of them are not friendly, professional, or helpful at all. On one visit, a cart collector was cursing and using vulgar language as he was collecting the carts right as we walked by. That was super rude and unprofessional. The cashiers are not friendly, and I even saw one of them groan and sigh when a customer walked up to pay. Many workers don't say hello, and seem to be dragging their feet or are talking loudly with each other while ignoring customers. All of these experiences with rude staff are not a good look. The managers here really need to teach their staff proper customer service. I have seen the store manager walking around and setting up displays on multiple occasions, but it seems like he is the only one working there that actually cares. All of the other staff seem to be unhappy, rude, unhelpful, and very unprofessional. Also, I've found multiple expired items on the shelves here. Make sure you check the dates on everything you buy to make sure it's fresh. Finally, since the store doesn't seem to be doing a lot of business, it hasn't been renovated like the other locations, the selection is limited and seems to be decreasing, the carts are old, there's no fresh fish department, and no butcher. Over the past year, the butcher is gone, salad Bar is gone, bakery selection has decreased, staff have become more unhappy than ever, and selection of items throughout the store has drastically decreased. Recently they got a wing bar, but it's just sitting empty and not being used. All this seems to point to bad staff and management. I hope this store can improve, but it seems like they need a new team of management and staff who'll take pride in the store and work to improve it. Overall, this Stop & Shop is fine, but isn't the best. I would recommend going to the Stop & Shop on Bedford St. That store has a wider selection, more prepared foods, a full seafood department, and is renovated. This store is good for the basics though, and is a good option for groceries if you live in the area. I will say that this store bright, and clean. I saw an employee vacuuming the entrance carpets when I was here, so they do a good job keeping the store clean. Also, it's never usually too crowded, you can always have a quiet and pleasant shopping experience, which I like. Hopefully they can improve this store, because it used to be great. 3 to 3.5 stars for the West Main St Stamford location.

I actually miss this location since I moved. Everything was in it's place, stocked, and organized. The reason for the three stars is that most of the staff are unprofessional and rude (not all, but most). However, I'm there for groceries, not them (and most of the time, I used self checkout. I apologize that I'm one of "those" people holding up the line. The employees can be so nasty). Always check the expiration dates. Too many times, I came home and saw that what I bought was expired. I think they're doing a better job about checking now, but just be aware.

Oof. Just moved to area from NYC. I was thrilled about having a large supermarket for groceries. That lasted three visits to this location. The management needs to have a sit down with a lot of the employees. There is a thing called customer service. This place does not have it. I have had employees ignore me, sigh when I get to check out, and cut in front of me when walking down aisles. It's like they can't wait to get out of there. I noticed most shoppers were using the self checkout lanes. Now I know why. The cashiers are unfriendly to the point of hostility. Maybe management could remind them that customers are the reason they get a paycheck.

The fruits and veggies arent that fresh. No option to get fresh seafood like the other stop n shops and the employees have loud conversations with no filter what so ever infront of customers.
