I ordered my daughters first birthday cake and the cake decorator thought it was a good idea to cover up most of the sentence and my daughters name. ? I was very disappointed but I didn’t say anything. They should of put the writing at the bottom. Or moved the mermaid fin and gave me the tail to put on. Do better next time someone orders a cake , Bjs.

This BJ’s has everything you need. I went to look for a suitcase but didn’t find much of a selection. Besides that, I would say it is a pretty good BJ’s.

This is the e-mail I sent to BJ's corporate (and never received a response back):"Ever since the start of BJ's digital coupons, I've consistently had issues. In almost every purchase, at least one digital coupon has not come off, resulting in a trip to customer service. This is a waste of time for the customer and BJ's staff. What usually happens during this is I'll either be asked to “prove” that a digital coupon exists by presenting it on my smartphone or the staff will proceed to go page by page through the catalog of coupons. Asking the customer to prove that the coupon exists is not their job. This results in a line of customers due to the time it takes to figure out if a refund is warranted (usually $1 to several dollars). My suggestion would be to do what Costco does and get rid of paper and digital coupon clipping. If BJ’s is truly a membership-based discount store, then customers shouldn’t have to “clip” coupons. The discount should automatically apply. It’s just become easier to shop elsewhere to get a better experience. Finally, I’ve been a customer of the Torrington, CT BJ’s for over 20 years and we still do not have rotisserie chickens like the Waterbury, CT location or the Costco in Waterbury."In summary, this BJ's used to be better, but due to the constant changing of staff, limited item variety, digital coupon issues, and poor customer service, I would suggest to just shop at all the other stores that are available to many of us today.

I don't like BJ's, my husband got us the membership primarily because of how much gas he fills for his business. Every now and then he'll go in to shop, but I always remind him that the quality of things at BJ's is typically terrible and returns are difficult. He convinced me a few weeks ago of buying two leather recliners that he liked, I hesitated but said okay. He brought them home and they were both damaged. I called the store the next morning, less than 24 hours after and spoke to a Michelle who said I should call back the next day to speak to Michael. I spoke to Michael the next day (Friday morning) and he said he would call me back before the end of the day Saturday. Fast forward to a week later, I called again to talk to Michael since I never heard back and ended up speaking to an assistant manager who said Michael will call me back tomorrow when he is in. It has been 10 days since then, and still heard nothing. I will no longer follow up, and have to live with my mistake of wasting money there. Shame on us for buying furniture from BJ's, we knew better all along but made a mistake. If you want decent customer service and are looking for quality products, whether it's food or furniture, go ANYWHERE else. The torrington BJ's seems exceptionally terrible, when I originally thought that the Southington BJ's was bad...

Its a great store with all the home living things (Food, electronics, books, etc.). Though you do need a mebership, its well worth it if you like shopping! 10/10!

I try not to rate and review businesses based on the mistakes they make, but rather how they choose to fix them. I am still waiting on a call back from their corporate office, and will update this review as-needed.The BJ's in Torrington seems to lack any sort of cohesive management or proper protocol. I believe their staff is significantly under-trained by their managers, which is what led to this review.I visited BJ's on 8/18 after my wife had mentioned they had a Charbroil gas grill on-sale for only $175, down from the sticker price of $497 (item #277725 for anyone that interested).Upon arriving I quickly located the floor model (in the attached image), and immediately asked an associate for assistance. They called an associate responsible for this department, and he followed me to the floor model to see if it was their last one. After radioing the back, he confirmed that this was in-fact, the last model. I immediately offered to purchase the floor at the sticker sale price of $175.I was told that I could not purchase the floor model, because there was a shipment of these grills due to come in shortly, and selling the floor would mean they would need to assemble yet another display model—that's fair.He couldn't give me an exact date for the shipment, but I was guaranteed two very important things:1. if the shipment arrived after the sale-end date of 9/5, they would post-date the price and honor the sale.2. if for some reason they DID NOT receive a shipment, and the item was no longer being stocked, that I could purchase the floor model AFTER the sale-end period with a 10% discount (which I didn't even care about, as the grill was already amazingly priced). He did tell me to check back that next week and see if they had received the shipment. On 8/23, the following Tuesday, I returned to BJs to check on the status of the shipment. Upon approaching the customer service counter, I noticed the exact floor model with a receipt taped to it.This didn't set us off on the best of feet, and I immediately asked for a manager to explain how this could have happened, as I was explicitly told I could NOT purchase the floor model.Bill (I believe was his name) was very apologetic, but also incredibly inept at explaining how this could have happened. What he said, was that the item had actually been discontinued, and they were NOT expecting a shipment, and therefore the floor model could be purchased (which it had been, by someone else). He was able to locate the grill for me, at the Waterbury location, where it was being sold for $497. He was unable to offer anything to remedy the situation, and was puzzled as to why one of his associates would have told me otherwise. My theory is that someone either doesn't understand the store policy on selling floor models, OR, that one of their employees purchased the grill—the receipt mentioned a staff purchase, wish I had photographed that—after telling me that I couldn't. It was after-all, a pretty fantastic deal.Regardless, I cannot recommend this BJ's. Their staff lacks any sort of cohesive understanding of their own company policies, and their manager was both unwilling and unable to correct this mistake.

I purchased an umbrella here for the yard. It was missing the solar panel for the solar lights. I called them. They told me to come in and get one. I am very happy. The product was an extremely good price! It was half the price of the same product at Home Depot! I like BJ's!!

Have lived behind BJ's for over 20 yrs. We have not slept in over 20 yrs due to light & noise pollution. Our windows rattle from the rigs running, you can read a book at midnight in our backyard. Oh & the jarring sound of the receiving door SLAMMING open at 2am & then SLAMMING shut, first time that happened? Truly thought someone broke into our house. When we bought our home, BJ's was not here, sadly they began torturing us 1 month later when they moved in. I attended every town meeting, I have contacted BJ's a number of times over the yrs....they no longer return my calls. If anyone from BJ's reads this, I am begging you. Please turn the lights away from our home & install stockade fence & dense shrubbery/hedges... it's what BJ's promised at the town meeting.UPDATE: Did I think BJ's would step up & install fencing/hedging for a sound barrier or turn their lights away? No, nor did I think they'd RETALIATE, but they have. The noise is louder & more frequent. It is 9:01pm, I am laying in bed, listening to the slamming of loading dock door/ trailer unloading The noise was loud before, now it's just obnoxious. Perhaps the b in Bj's stands for bully.2nd UPDATE ? BJ's bullying never ceases to amuse....are ya ready?! BJ's had a Porta potty delivered to our house.?Never complain about BJ's unless of course you want to spend 20 + yrs being bullied/harassed by BJ's....you'd think they'd be bored with us, but no. Work order clearly states Porta Potty is for BJ's with our home address. There was no mistake made, this was intentional. Can't wait to see what they do next???People asked for proof....here it is. I wonder what Bj's next move will be, no worries I'll keep you posted?

This is the smallest Bjs location I have ever been in. Still they had everything I needed, I guess all the other locations have the extra nonessential stuff. The staff was nice and the lines were short and quick.
