I have had the displeasure of ordering food from this location twice, the latest instance being a second chance in the hopes that the first disaster was an isolated display of ineptitude. However, the second order was indefinitely more disappointing. Perhaps the only food location in the Washington DC area that claims to deliver yet never actually transports the food to your door, this place adds further insult via their careless "food" preparation, if one can even label their offerings in such a manner given their condition. Apparently their idea of a crêpe (a type of very thin pancake, in case any restaurant personnel reading this review wish to educate themselves and consider revising their wildly misleading menu) involves slopping together an inedible mass of frozen-solid fruit and loosely wrapping it in a tortilla some sort of sad burrito. Even the Seamless representative who contacted the restaurant attempting to secure me a refund for this monstrosity remarked that the staff were rude to her over their call, a result that I regret to say does not surprise me. Poor quality on the outside, poor quality on the inside. Perhaps the location's staff, delivery personnel, and management will consider educating their kitchen staff on the contents and preparation of basic food items, and maybe they will revise their menu that is currently riddled with items that they actually do not offer. Congratulations to Avocado Cafe for bringing down the good name of avocados everywhere. I wish you all nothing but the worst in 2019!

Love their southwest chicken sandwiches and sweet potato fries! Their smoothies are also very decent as well.

Just don't do it. I didn't know that you could screw up a fruit salad. Everything I ordered was inedible and I could tell that the fries had been cooked in old oil from the taste. I don't typically write yelp reviews but this was some of the worst food I've had in a long time. I had to actually throw it in a trash can outside of my place bc it smelled so bad. Save your money and go literally anywhere else.

Avocado Cafe deserves a visit from the health inspector and the manager from Gordon Ramsay...but even he would find this place unredeemable. I'm stunned how it is still in business, and I wish I had come to their Yelp before ordering food. Heed my advice and everyone else's...stay away at all costs. Horrendous food, dirty place, the worst customer service in the history of restaurant hospitality, and I would rather have dove into the dumpsters behind a Chipotle than experienced the true perils of Avocado Cafe.

Sam is a hardworking owner and operator who knows how to make an amazing pizza. This place is a staple for a jumbo slice in Georgetown and has a awesome blt. Great portion size for what you pay and a private business which I love. Order a large pie for the crew!

Surprised at all the negative reviews as it was pretty decent. Nothing life-changing but delivery was on time, driver was friendly, and the food was just fine.

GAVE ME FOOD POISONING!!! Do nkt eat the gyro or hummhs. I missed work for 4 days because of this pathetic place called a "restaurant".

Looks like a dump, but will be some of the yummiest food you'll ever have. I always stop by when in town and all of my friends have loved it so far! Definitely recommend the falafel pita

Ordered a BLT and fries. The bacon in the BLT was mostly burnt, the bits that weren't were very chewy and basically inedible. The sandwhich had completely fallen apart in the box they gave. Fries were soggy and cold as well.

Definitely had a band aid in the middle of my veggie wrap, which is a clear indication that they don't wear gloves. When I showed them, I never even got an apology. They offered to give me a refund for the wrap, but still wanted to charge me for the fries! This is the first bad review I've ever left, but this was just sickening.

Thought I'd grab a slice of pizza as I walked by this place. As I waited, I knew I'd made a mistake. Looked around and saw dirt on the walls and lots of clutter and nothing that looked like a place that cared about making good food in a clean environment. It was no surprise then, that the "pizza" was the worst ever. Almost no sauce. Just some undercooked plastic-y cheese on dough. It would be easy to make the place more inviting by just cleaning it up and removing weird things like the display case of baklava pieces in ugly plastic containers with an empty pizza tray on top of the containers... Or the old football sitting on a pizza tray right behind the front counter. But then they'd still have to figure out how to make pizza. Funny to see the review that said the place has to be a practical joke or a cover. I'd thought maybe it was a cover for something.
