Not a good management staff, Bad Experience

The rudest pharmacy staff member I have ever come across!! Perhaps this pharmacy needs to be assessed for understaffing and consequently putting patients safety in danger. This pharmacy representative was working on the counter at 6:50-7:00pm on 02/09/24. After I started to walk away she preceded to complain about me because it was the 2nd time in years of going to the pharmacy that I came late to the pharmacy aka 5-10 minutes before closing. Managed to find plenty of time to talk with her co-workers after I walked away while another client was still being served. When I asked her to stop talking about me and called her rude she said “I don’t care” and continued to complain with her co-workers. My script was ready all I was trying to do was give her the savings card for my RX but because they were closing in 5 minutes she was abrupt, extremely rude and hostile making me unnecessarily anxious by doing all of her closing duties while not focusing on actually helping so we could both happily move on with our night. As I mentioned this is the 2nd time she has caused me to feel lesser than and it needed to be put in a review. She is clearly overworked and I question whether management have enough staff to safely address the needs of the patients/clients at this pharmacy. I wouldn’t have had an issue but the fact she was so rude while talking behind my back as well, not to mention revealing personal details while a client was still being served, is unethical and unprofessional!! I am aware you don’t care but all i’m trying to do is save $45 on an rx.Ironically the reason this script was delayed was in large part because she rushed and then put the wrong insurance in the system causing a 2 week delay on this rx that caused a back and forth between CVS and my provider. Again, based on her behavior I question if this representative and others are getting appropriate breaks and is there adequate staffing to safely fulfill their duties?! It certainly doesn’t seem that way. I would like a response from management.

The pharmacy is fine but this store is surrounded by beggars and grifters yelling out for money. I don’t like to go there because of that

I am always happy with the service I receive at the Newark Street CVS. The staff is knowledgeable, very effective and always happy to help!

This is the first CVS that I have visited and the shelves were fully stocked. The store was clean and staff were very nice and friendly. I highly recommend visiting this store.

Great experience today at the Newark St CVS just off Wisconsin NW DC. Great retail and pharmacy staff who went out of their way to help. A very clean, well kept store with a staff that cares.

I would like to provide a HUGE praise to Jamie at Store ID: #5674 in Washington, DC 20016. She is absolutely phenomenal and every time myself or my partner shops there, Jamie is beyond helpful, delightful, caring, gracious and polite. Jamie should teach a class and more than deserves a raise asap! The only reason I continue to frequent this location is because Jamie’s customer service is so impeccable. You need to do what it takes to keep Jamie employed with CVS and more specifically, my location at 3700 Newark Street NW in Washington, DC. AMAZING!!!

Shaun at the pharmacy desk is RUDEEEE. Humiliated me in front of the people behind me, he kept arguing with me instead of just focusing on customer service. Talking back to me, nasty looks, attitude, etc. He cared SO much about being the big tough guy and not caring about how he spoke and treated me. He made it a point he don’t care about being professional, he rather clap back and put me down.

I called and had to get an RX transferred to this location because mine didn't have it in stock and I couldn't wait days for it. The pharmacy knew I was on my way and I needed the medication tonight. They closed the pharmacy a minute before they closed so I wasn't able to get the RX and had to wait until they opened the next day. They then claimed that we came after 6 and got an attitude when I was upset I needed to wait longer for a medication I needed urgently.

Front staff is great but the pharmacy is absolutely terrible. They never answer the phone unless I call the store and request they transfer me to the pharmacy. They routinely will tell me inaccurate info like of my medication is in stock or when it will be ready. Poor manners and just bad customer service.

Just had a nasty experience here. I had a coupon for one of my prescriptions, and it turns out it would only save a couple bucks. And the guy behind the counter with dark hair implies I shouldn't even bother using the coupon, but I told him I want to, might as well save the money. And he looks at me with such disbelief, then tells me without looking at me that I'll need to go see the other lady and wait 10-15 minutes. "We have other customers to serve," meanwhile the line behind me is practically gone! So thought screw it, I'll just pay the extra 2 dollars not to waste my time. What a joke!

This pharmacy is difficult to work with for several reasons. One huge problem is that the automated telephone menu is confusing, slow, and poorly programmed. When you select a correct-sounding option for what you want, such as “get prescription status,” you get stuck if you don’t have an existing prescription number. You’ll get stuck several times before you find one that lets you move forward. Then it asks for your birthday, which no pharmacist in any pharmacy has ever been able pull from any phone system, and they have to ask for it again. The phone menu seems as though it is designed to prevent you from getting in touch with the pharmacy.I assume the other reviews about issues with the pharmacy are true enough, but I wouldn’t know because I’m stuck on hold and haven’t been able to get in touch with a pharmacist about the medication I would like to pick up.
