Two level Walgreens with escalator and elevator. Downstairs is the health, beauty, toys and cards. Upstairs is all the drinks and food. I felt safe shopping since they have a police officer at the front door. They charge 5 cents per plastic bag and they won't tell you ahead of time.

While at an event downtown I was in need of some batteries. They always seem to run out of juice at the most inappropriate time. I'm still not familiar with everything in this area and I ended up walking for what felt like forever until I got here. I'm exaggerating because it was hot and humid and I was miserable. When you enter it is a bit of a task as you have to dodge some panhandlers that are clever at trying to get something out of you. When I came inside it was a bit of a task as well to figure out where in the store I would find batteries. The signage here is a bit nonexistent. I eventually found the batteries and made it for the front of the store to pay. After a bit of a wait there, I made it outside of the store. Passing the panhandler that I told I wasn't coming in here to make a purchase and having to avert my eyes.

The Walgreens on 288th & Military Road is not always a safe place to go to. Drug addicts almost always in parking lot, on the sides of the building and in the bushes. More than once I have seen customers in the parking lot being yelled at by the transients. Trash everywhere. Walgreen carts being dumped into neighborhoods. Do not recommend going there especially in the evening or night time. They do not answer their phones and the current store manager will not talk to patrons or address the growing problems at this store. They just don't care.........

This location of Walgreens was on my way to a meeting and I needed to stop here. It was great because I found what I needed within prices I'm used to add any Walgreens. Service was great specially from the cashier put took care of me. I found easy parking so I had no problem at all.

Do not use this Store! Especially for Walgreens Same Day Delivery. I did, they didn't fulfill it without me having to call them to tell them there was an order. Then, they did not give the delivery company all the items I bought and they rung up, and told me as much when I called about it (I didn't know that was part of your order....). After 2 days of dealing with the store and website - I have been charged for items I don't have, and they will NOT refund or deliver the items paid for but by Walgreens mistake did not send out for delivery.

Can't believe that I'm giving positive feedback on a Walgreens. Full disclosure: Not a big fan of this drugstore chain. That said, I needed a few items like yesterday. This Walgreens delivered the goods. Luckily, I was able to load up on COVID-19 essentials...paper towels and toilet paper. For those who don't know, the aforementioned items have been flying off the shelves since the beginning of the pandemic. Not the case here...shelves were WELL-STOCKED. Wish I could say the same about CVS! Anyhoo, this is probably the cleanest location that I've ever been in. You can literally eat off the counters and floors. Didn't see one item out of place. Happy to report that a team member asked if I was finding everything ok...music to my ears. Also, customer service at checkout was friendly and efficient. All of the team members were masked up and the registers are surrounded by plexiglass. Special mention: This is the place to grab those last minute items...sweet and savory snacks, bottled water, cleaning supplies, cosmetics, cell phone accessories, and so much more. FYI: Photo developing services are available and a pharmacy is located on the lower level of the store.

I went to Walgreens tonight 10/21/2020 around 6:50pm and upon entering the store I saw a police officer not wearing a mask, along Walgreens staff standing around chit chatting (casual convo not like a robbery was in progress lol) with him -one of whom was also not wearing a mask. The officer wasn't eating. He said good evening and something else to me (I didn't hear) and I said hello, and then added please put on your mask since you're speaking to me. He didn't - and I kept walking. He then proceeded to talk loudly about my request that he wear a mask in the store- and made other disparaging comments and also stated emphatically that masks are useless - and don't prevent people from contracting covid (I'm summarizing and putting it much nicer than he did but I'm sure the store has video). At first the mask was around his ears - just not covering his nose or mouth- but he took it further and took it all the way off because I asked him to put it on. As I tried to leave the store I turned on my camera because I was nervous about his behavior - he accosted me about whether or not I was recording him. At first I didn't respond - when he kept talking I simply told him my only concern was that he put on a mask if he's speaking to me. I did have my phone out and Walgreens staff walked away so they wouldn't be in the picture. He told them it was private property so I couldn't take the picture. Frankly I'm shocked that this is happening in Washington, DC - I except this from folks in Florida. Either way it was inappropriate to say the least - especially because he's supposed to be enforcing the mask mandate in Washington DC and I don't think I should have to risk my health when I go into Walgreens for a chocolate bar. Very disappointed in the officer and the Walgreens staff.

I cannot understand why the store hide the XL GLOVES in back, thinking my big hands will fit into small. They tell you there is no XL. It's in the store room area. They simply don't bring them out! What a sick manager! BRING THE XL GLOVES OUT INTO THE STORE FOR CUSTOMERS TO BUY! I saw you do it.

The people at the pharmacy are friendly but slow and incompetent. I wasted almost an hour trying to use a coupon that the pharmacy had given me to use instead of one I had gotten online, only to find out that it didn't apply to my medication. And this was a coupon the pharmacist insisted I use instead of the one I got online! They said my prescription was ready when I called before coming in to pick it up. They should have been able to check whether the coupon the pharmacist gave me was valid before having me spend 20 minutes on the phone to register it and then 30 minutes for the pharmacy to figure out that it didn't apply to my purchase.

Every time I've been to this location, I've found items routinely purchased--like almonds, protein bars and other snacks--at prices significantly discounted from those of area grocery stores via bogo offers. Likewise, the register has always been manned and staff available around the store to assist. In scanning others' negative reviews on pricing not being accurate at the register or staff having attitude at this location, I wonder if patrons remembered to type in their phone numbers for reward program recognition or if they have expectations of effusive welcoming. The staff here is quiet/reserved in demeanor, but I think it's a misunderstanding to presume that translates to impolite. For me, it's a plus to shop without being offered assistance every few minutes unsolicited.

Not impressed. Standard items but the service is horrible. Just a feeling of attitude in the place. They should coin the phrase"service with a snarl".

It's a pretty well appointed Walgreens that is kept clean, well stocked, and with fast service at the register. No complaints and better than CVS.

This Walgreens is ok - I'm in here fairly often, but merely out of convenience. I usually get water from here and it's not far from my office. I've purchased other things and I've found the prices higher than CVS. Once I was buying something from the cosmetics section and saw the item listed for $4.99 but when I got to the register, it rang up for $8.99 (that's $4.00 more - no thank you!!). So pay attention when you're checking out. I have a rewards card but I don't think I shop here often enough to build up enough rewards! The lines are long in here, but there are usually enough cashiers to move the line along. Speaking of cashiers, half of them don't seem to enjoy working here and it shows. There's a Western Union if you need to use that service. Again, this is just a stop out of necessity and convenience for me.

After checking in to my hotel yesterday, my family and I wanted to immediately go out and explore Washington.... Ford's theatre was a relatively short walk from the hotel...only half a mile or so and we decided to walk to it because it also gave us the chance to experience the city and see what is around the hotel. OMG! It is so friggin hot! It was like in the high 80s yesterday...common Miami weather and I felt like I was melting into the pavement...my family was in the same boat. I just can't explain how this city feels hotter than Miami. Well we stopped by Walgreens because we needed to get hydrated... walked and got some Fiji water bottles and gulped them down like we just trekked thru the Sahara. 5 stars just for saving us from this heat!

It was the night of the Stanley Cup final, and the red was everywhere. Me and my buddy needed beer so we took a shot. Naturally, the shelves were empty. But they actually had some poor dude in the back throwing beer out and basically taking requests from customers through the shelves. I really wanted cans so I took the lonely 6 pack of Buds, only it was a four pack. I didn't care, I wanted to go get ready for the game and thought four would be enough, so I brought it the register and said I would pay full price. Alexandra, Walgreens finest employee, said "no sir, your going to want all six", and proceeded to go into swarm of people, back to the cooler, and found me a full six pack. It's the best service I've ever experienced and she deserves a shout out. She was right, six was just enough to get through the entire game and celebration. And being that the store was located at the center of it all, I think Walgreens did an exceptional job of making it happen. Lines moved quickly, they did what they could to keep shelves stocked, and they all seemed pretty happy to be doing it.
