NOT patron friendly anymore since Bally's took over from Dover Downs. Less employees to assist patrons. Drink and redemption machines often out of order

Nearby activities: Mall is next door basically and also a shopping center
Food and drinks: Luongo's is the best restaurant in the casino

This place is a complete rip off.They cut all my free play because I didn't lose enough money. This is the worst and the host was extremely rude. I told her to stop sending their garbage flyers to my house and will never step foot in this horrible casino. Do yourself a favor and go to Delaware Park. So much better. They want you to buy the machine before it will pay.Please save your money and go elsewhere. So basically, the place sucks.

Day tripper...
For my experience, I drive up to Dover Bally's for a few hours in the day to play. Coming from Bethany Beach takes little over an hour, but it was worth it! It's an easy location to find in Dover. Also, the parking is nicely spread out along the stretch of the Casino, so I can access the area I like (high limits) without walking too far. The cashiers are very helpful, happy and always respectful. In fact, all the staff are eager to assist with whatever questions or direction I may need.
The tables pay well, but the slots are where it's at for me. I enjoy the various styles and selection of denom they provide from classic slots, such as"Top Dollar"and "Pinball", to the new ones like "Frankenstein" and "Buffalo Power Pay"
It's a great day trip and getaway for me!

The sportsbook is very organized and has a more positive feeling then before Bally's took over. I don't even notice that the room is smaller now as there are more tables and chairs available. Hopefully, the hours can be extended so that can be placed for the morning games

Rooms are dated but clean. Customer service is good. Card status doesn't mean much as there's no dedication lines and you basically have to beg for any host assistance.

Drove out to Bally's not once but twice. They told me after driving my card was locked out so I could not stay at hotel, use my free play etc. So twice this happened. Turns out that when you earn Free Slot Play they lock you out if you do not lose all of it and also put a lot of money back into machineses. For years been going to casino as I thought it was good place but never again. Years, I would be up / down. Twice in last month I got up on a Thursday or Friday night and left. Could not use my card the next day . It is highly illegal for Bally's to send a flyer stating Becasue of you past play you get XYZ Free Slot Play and they do not honor it. It is called a " Loyalty Program" for which Bally's has become unloyal. I have filed "Bait and Switch" complaints with the State of Delaware and Federal Consumer Fraud Departments as Bait and Switch is illegal. Imagine thinking you were going to have a night or two on a casino and driving for two hours in hot sun to get there to find you could not stay in hotel more use your casino card because they ran some check. We'll funny thing on both nights the guy in players club, a supposed supervisor stated twice "Looking at the records you should have been flagged". as it just looks like you took money from one machine to couple others." He than state "Free Slot Play you have to lose it all or they will lock you out" . To fix it you have to come back in the daytime. Yes , this is what the guy said. Like somebody is going to drive 2 hours to undo something that any employee in the players club desk should be able to correct. BTW while walking out at least ten people that heard conversations said they know other friends having the same issue. The casino apparently is no longer loyal to their loyalty program . Would strongly suggest you understand what that means. Casino Loyalty programs are to compensate people for the losses (and wins) over period of time. Honestly , for a casino to find 1 or 2 nights where you did not play totally to lose and cut you off is quite despicable. Seriously , I would doubt I ever go back. You know, about six months back the guy at Players club told me that I really am not taking advantage of all the perks. He actually gave me a credit to the gift store to get something. Funny , I think about that and realize that 1-2 nights over many hundreds I actually left with a win I am being penalized for. I am making sure I tell everyone about this. So far I got maybe 20 people that are not going drive out there again from Baltimore area.. Bally's has become Unloyal in abuse of their Loyalty Program. In addition to the consumer fraud departments I and looking at filing gaming complaints now too. It is said what they have done.. They took the drink machines out in casino. So if your staying in hotel you either have to go to one place open that really only sells coffee or the gift shop that has nothing diet so if your diabetic your screwed. You pretty much got to walk the mile to MCDs to get Ice Tea or a diet soda.. Takes a long time to get your car from valet.
Rooms: Rooms are very quiet because well they do not allow you to stay after driving 2 hours. You find out your card is locked out becasue you did not lose enough money from the casino. They do not tell you this when you make reservations so you drive 2 hours each way to find out you cannot use your "Loyalty Card" membership benefits in the hotel, casino, or so called free gifs. Really is pathetic and cheap of them.

Very bad experience. Played won and tried to withdraw the money it would not work. After trying 3 times they closed my account. Gave them my license, debit card business license and all other documents but still not open. Every day they keep asking for same info and still my account is closed after giving all proper documents. Beware of this casino. ⚠️
