Malek was hands down the best server we had! Last minute lunch decision and he went above and beyond with exceptional service. Food was great, drinks were tasty. Kids were happy too!

We shared appetizers as our lunch and it was delicious. Good service and good food make for an excellent lunch.

Vibe is great. Service is great. Disappointed with Wednesday’s Cheap Date Night deal though. Wine was just okay, but I get that. However, portions were skimpy with very, very little meat in the braised rib pasta dish, no salad or bread offered, small slice of cheesecake to be split between the two of us. Wouldn’t call it much of a deal. Server was charming.

Awesome menu--if a bit pricey. I've brought lots of people here and not once has anyone not loved their meal! The scampi is understandably awesome but so are the ribs, the pastas, and the beef and bacon lollipops ! Cheap date night is always a great deal and even the desserts will leave you hungry for more! The cocktail and wine list is also extensive with lots of options which one wouldn't expect from a place primarily known for beer

I had the root beer chipolte ribs, and for dessert, I had the bread pudding. Both were fantastic...bread pudding might have been the best restaurant dessert I ever had. Our server, Adam, kept up with our dinner party and none of us went long without needing service. Great job all around. Will definitely be back!

My boyfriend and I went there to have dinner and it was amazing. The hostess was very attentive and wonderful you are awesome Cassidy! The manager came to our table and ask how was everything was it cooked to our liking and laughed and talked a little bit about football which was very nice. The Cook obviously love what he do because it show in the preparation of the food. The food was very well seasoned and every bite was amazing . I will definitely be recommending Stone Balloon to all my guest at the hotel I work at. STONE BALLOON YOU HAVE A AMAZING TEAM!

Good, not great. We paid $50 for a couple of beers, a burger, and a cheesesteak. The menu is not very big at brunch time. The place was cool and the staff was helpful, but I'm sure I can find food and beer that's just as good, if not better, somewhere cheaper.

Good food & 5 dollar cocktails. Not too loud for conversation. Split the mushroom ravioli and it came in two skillets with plenty for each of us.

Great atmosphere, quick service. The crab cake sandwich was a little salty for my taste but my partner got the black bean burger and it was delicious.

There brunch is exceptional. I had the Hot mess and my wife had the Pretezel French Toast. A little dark inside. Make sure they give you their monkey bread with cream cheese icing. It is awesome. Highly recommended for brunch. We definitely will be back.

Great atmosphere, service and food/drinks. We dropped in without a reservation on a Sunday for late brunch and were greeted and seated very promptly. All 4 of us loved our food. My shrimp tacos were fantastic and worth the trip alone. I also had a Pomegranate Martini off the $5 anytime/every day menu and it was delicious!! My only disappointment was that when I reviewed the bill later, those drinks were charged at $7.95 each. I had been asked if there was a favorite vodka I might have in it and I noted Titos ... but no menu note or comment from the server claimed there would be an upcharge. A bit frustrating for sure, but it was an excellent visit otherwise.

Food was excellent! Great selection of craft beer including many locals. Little pricey but would definitely recommend.

Good beer selection and great menus.

Luke met us at the door and could not have been more accommodating. He deserves a 5 rating. He brought my husband a beer to our table way before the waiter made an appearance, and me 2 samples to help me decide which I wanted. The Wednesday date night menu had much to choose from, and the both meatballs and Cornish hen and sides were tasty. The p&j dessert was not as good for me, the shell was really hard and tough, and I even had problems cutting it with a knife. I prefer a softer dessert I don't have to fight to eat. But, no worries, I will just order the cheesecake next time because I will definitely be back. You provided us a great table outside, food&ale, and date night mid week to make the weekend nor seem so far away.

I think this is my favorite restaurant on Main Street. The food is consistently good. I went for dinner the first time a couple of months ago and I've been back 6 more times since. The menu changes out a few dishes regularly so there's usually something fun and new to try out. The atmosphere is great because you can wear a shirt and jeans or you can come business casual as a stop after work - both are acceptable. The way the tables are set up, coupled with the mood, decorations, and the lighting really makes it easy to feel like you're dining without strangers nearby. The staff are always friendly and attentive while remaining laid back, making the whole experience pleasant. Try it once. If you love it, I'm sorry because you'll be back many more times.

Karen and I stumbled upon this gem on our road trip and were blown away with the Food...Service...Vibe and Everything about our experience! Fresh shucked Oysters direct from the Bay...Fantastic Filet, Root Bear Ribs! Pretzel Bread Pudding...The FOH Manager was the best, and the list of Bands that have played there when it was the go to spot for intimate music with all the top name bands is impressive indeed. If you're in the area do yourself a favor and check it out!

I have yet to try any food here cause i usually come for drinks. Specifically the $5 strawberry mojitos. They're not that good at all but I keep coming back for more. The staff is very nice and the ambience is very casual and warm.

I'm really a fan of this Ale House! I came with a bunch of colleagues for a birthday dinner, and I was pleasantly surprised at the food, decor, and ambiance. Food Very unique food! I had the fried deviled eggs and a very tender burger that is extremely well made for a college town joint. I think the menu really makes this place unique. My friends got meat lollipops, and I know it sounds weird, but they're good! Beer selection is pretty decent as well. Price is about average for what you would expect for an alehouse. 4.5/5 Decor/Environment Very comfortable with a good noise level. Modern look, and reminds me of a stone oven restaurant vs a steak house. Great for groups of all sizes as well. 4/5 Service Decent service, but we had a server that didn't know much of the menu. She also couldn't really recommend anything, and told us she haven't tried all the food. She also couldn't recommend any of their drinks because she was under 21. She also didn't come by as often as we would like, despite the place not really being packed. However, she's really nice! 3.5/5.

Excellent brunch. Drinks are phenomenal and the food was even better. My server was great, I'm sad I forget her name. The host staff was a little slow, I wanted to sit outside and requested a table to be cleaned off but after 10 minutes of waiting I just had to ask to be sat inside. Other than that, I would go back there every day if I could.

I ordered the prime rib sandwich...no flavor! The mashed potatoes...no flavor! A ceaser salad...dressing was great! She ordered the ham and cheese sandwich thing....no flavor! (My opinion) The mac and cheese...tasted like ramen noodles before the season packet!

I really enjoy the food here - I've had a variety of items on the menu and haven't been disappointed. Their beer selection is also fantastic and I love the options for sizes of brews. The happy hour is usually pretty good and the buck a shuck oysters are a must on Friday's! The service is the only thing lacking - pretty slow on most occasions but something I can look past due to the food. The atmosphere is nice too. Solid place

We had a great time here. I was in town to show my fiancé where I went to college and grew up. Yes the town has changed A LOT since I was lived there. The ale house is modern, welcoming and keeps reverence to the past. The staff is super friendly and when you are seated you get monkey bread. If your not from the region it's a deconstructed cinnamon roll with icing. I just ordered the crab cake on English muffin with eggs Benedict on top. It was amazing and so filling I only could finish 2/3rds of it. She had the sausage gravy over biscuits. We travel a lot in the south and this was some serious gravy. It had the perfect kick at the backend which is expected. My crab cakes were seasoned exceptionally well while there was some filler it was minimal. Our server was amazing. I can't wait to go back next time I'm in town...too bad Dave Matthews won't be stopping by.

This place has been a favorite of ours since it opened. We love the creativity of the food, and absolutely love their Brunch! Staff has had some recent changes, but we always have great service. I always appreciate one of the managers checking in on us when we stop in, and thanking us for the visit. They also have a great happy hour for some small bites and drink specials. Can't go wrong with a stop by the Ale House! Be sure to try the Corn Chowder and Black Bean Burger!

Stone Balloon was a great place to go to celebrate a friend's birthday, however it was very hard to make reservations. If I remember correctly, they don't take reservations after 6 or 7PM no matter how early you call. The food was absolutely delicious and the wait staff was very kind and attentive! My friend and I split an appetizer and dessert and we each had our own entree. The food was great however it is rather pricey. Even with a gift card that I had received the bill was still on the higher end. This place is definitely more upscale than many of the restaurants on Main Street. The portion size was a little small too for the price and I was full by the end of the night, but I believe it was only because we ordered appetizers and a dessert. The little fried donuts were amazing, fluffy and light. I would come back here for another celebratory dinner, but would probably not casually go as it is on the expensive side!

Upscale casual. Prices are higher than what you expect but you're paying for atmosphere. It's in a college town so it's a youthful experience. Parking in the area is Handy but an acceptable close walk. No real signiture go-to items on the menu or comfort foods, but the menu is still good. It's a far cry from the original Stone Balloon. That was a time for bands and beer. This is a true restaurant and bar of the modern age.
