my dog Luna was so sick. she was on floor in exam room and I was on the floor with her. the doctor and her assistant came in and sat right down on the floor with Luna and I and performed an exam right there. it was sweet and mt dog was calm and felt no stress. Luna is recovering nicely and I am grateful to have you all at Boca Village Animal Hospital. deb richards and Luna Lou. xo

My dog is on a prescription diet. He has been on this diet for years. I order my food through chewy but approval is needed by the vet. They called me and told me they rejected the request until I schedule a routine appointment. They are holding my dog's food hostage so they can make a couple of hundred dollars on a routine appointment. I had no food for my dog now. These people do not care about animals if they are willing to starve a dog to make money on an appointment.

Purchased our new little Malshi on Monday. Not uncommon for new pups to go home with a cough. Second night it started. Since she is less than 3 lbs we needed to make sure she was ok and the bug was not in her lungs. We saw Dr. Tompkins today and all I can say is WOW the best vet we have EVER experienced. She spent over 30 minutes with us and little Lexie, explaining everything and taking every precaution. This is our new vet and would encourage anyone needing a vet to check out Boca Village Animal Hospital - you won’t be disappointed!

We love doctor Flavia Tompkins! She has been seeing my puppy Canela since I bought it a couple of months ago and it has been a splendid experience, it is my first time with a puppy and she along with her excellent team of nurses and front desk have made this love journey much easier. We look forward to continuing our consultations.

We boarded our toy poodle with them in February, we were flying to Newyork , the next morning they called me early saying they need to give him a drug to calm him down because he seemed anxious, I told them it's been a while since I left him and not to give him the drug he will eventually sleep. An hour later they called again and they said if I don't approve the drug to come pick him up.I said I'm boarding a plane , how can I pick him up , that's when I said ok give him the drug just once. Two days later when I picked him up I found out that they drugged him every 8 hours and when I got him he threw up in the car and later in the house.later when I called to complain they said they would have a Vet call me but no one did.A month later I ordered his prescription food from a site , When the site called Boca animal hospital they told me that they wouldn't approve it , so I went to them and they agreed to give me the food . A day later someone from the office called me to apologize for the misunderstanding I explained to him what had happened and he said he had no idea and he would like me to bring my dog back to them I said I will. So My husband made an appointment for him a few weeks ago to go on August first . Last week a receptionist from the office called to tell us that our dog is not welcomed to come back .

Editing here on 07/12 after I spoke with the owner.He correctly called out that the 800 dollars bill was not just for my dog's annual check up, but it also includes some procedures from my other dog.Overall the price for the annual examination with the vaccines was $412.50. This is still quite higher than what we paid last year, but I also acknowledge that the cost of everything has considerably escalated in the past 12 months.So, updating from 4 to 5 starts as the staff continues to be awesome!From 06/14I really liked everyone with whom I interacted with. There were just a couple of things that prevented the 5 stars here.First, the price. An annual exam cost for my 4 years old dog was almost 800 dollars considering vaccines and etc. On her 3 years old annual, we didn't spend half of it.The other aspect that bothered me was the fact that they took my other dog to a separate room for a skin examination and even with some challenges due to the separation anxiety from my dog, they didn't called me to help. Instead, they just said my dog is aggressive. I didn't like that approach, specifically because I never had that feedback from prior doctors.Anyway, overall experience was still positive.

I wouldn’t recommend this vet to the worst of people. They threatened to drop my friends dog off at the pound if I didn’t sign two signatures regardless of the fact that the puppy has been a patient of theirs for months now. They are cruel and unusual and extremely aggressive for no reason. Lori at the front is a miserable oger and the owner who is the one who threatened to send the puppy to the pound, are the worst and I would not advise anyone to trust them.

The staff at Boca Village Animal Hospital are highly skilled, compassionate, friendly and informative. They take excellent care of our cats and we feel very confident leaving them in their hands for treatment and/or boarding. If you are looking for an excellent veterinarian practice in Boca Raton, this is the one to go to.
