About Carnaval On The Mile
Carnaval on the Mile is a popular annual street festival held in Coral Gables, along Miracle Mile. Organized by the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana and sponsored by NBC 6 and Telemundo 51, the event celebrates Cuban culture and community through a lively, free two-day celebration each March. The festival features a vibrant street fair with tents selling food, beverages, merchandise, and works by over 100 artists. Many visitors enjoy exploring the art, handmade items, and shopping at local boutiques like Essence Boutique. The event is family-friendly and pet-friendly, with interactive games, art activities for children, and performances by area students at KidzNook. Miracle Mile is lined with restaurants, offering options like Arepas, fresh squeezed juices, pinchos, sandwiches, turkey legs, funnel cakes, pizza, gelato, and more. Attendees often dine at local spots such as Morton's or relax at nearby restaurants. The festival includes two stages with live music, featuring great bands and DJs that encourage dancing and crowd participation. Parking is available in street lots and garages nearby, and the event's location allows visitors to enjoy the lively atmosphere and view of the street filled with music and entertainment. The festival aims to promote culture, community, and fun. Proceeds support scholarships, youth camps, and a new charter school. Visitors appreciate the great vibes, good food, music, and the opportunity to enjoy Coral Gables' charming streets. Overall, Carnaval on the Mile offers something for everyone, creating a memorable, enjoyable experience for families, friends, and the local community.

A Fun event. I enjoy looking at the art and handmade items that are sold. Food and water prices are a bit over the top but there are lots of options and also local restaurants. I went early to avoid the crowd and the heat so I didn't see any of the bands but there are multiple stages.
