Location is perfect for shops and restaurants. Staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and updated. The beds are awful and not the usual comfort we expect from Hampton Inn.

My husband and I just stayed here for a marriage retreat. It was great. We had a nice suite and it was within walking distance to a lot of places.

Good luck if you lose anything or leave something behind. They will steal it. Took 6 phone calls, including getting laughed on the phone (and Corporate) to say they didn't find anything, when in fact it was left there. Never again.

This place was amazing. They had everything you could want in a hotel. Sure, they had a clean bed and spacious room. That's a given. But have you had a hotel with FREE hotdogs and 3 dollar drinks? Hotel bars usually charge triple that for a beer. We stayed with another family and the hot dogs were a massive hit with the 5 kids. Would highly recommend.

We were really impressed with the service and quality during our recent stay at the Hampton Inn Fernadina Beach. From the folks working the breakfast buffet, to the knowledge of the front desk staff, to the cleaning folks cleaning our room every night, everyone was pleasant, professional and friendly. We stayed for five days without issue, and in fact the staff made the trip more enjoyable by their attention to detail. Thank you so much!

Location Good, But Hotel Needs Serious Upgrades
Unfortunately, our stay at the Hampton Inn Amelia Island Historic District was a disappointment. While the staff was very friendly and welcoming, the hotel itself is in serious need of renovations and better upkeep.
When we arrived, our room had a strong, unpleasant smell—possibly from humidity or the air conditioning—moldy, not sure , and it didn’t go away during our short stay. We were in a rush to get to dinner, so we didn’t bring it up with the staff, but the issue persisted and ultimately led us to check out after just one night.
The carpets in the hallways were old and worn, and the overall feel of the hotel was dated and not well maintained. It also seemed like there was a shortage of housekeeping staff, as the cleanliness standards didn’t meet expectations.
The one positive was the location—right by the marina and just a short walk to downtown and restaurants, which was very convenient. With some much-needed renovations and better maintenance, this hotel could live up to its potential, but for now, it fell short.

Best place to stay in downtown Fernandina beach!
Not a squeamish person,
Blood on the bed spread when we arrived.
I removed it and the house keeper changed the bedding next day.
This was an isolated incident. We would stay here again and again!

Perfect location, on the waterfront and walkable to many awesome restaurants and shops.
Town is very laid-back and the folks are very friendly.
Great service and amenities at this particular hotel.
Very pleased with my stay.

Nice location and parking. Ok pool. Dated property with a train that will wake you up. A small gym and a somewhat sad manager’s reception that charges you for wine that they should pay you to drink.

This is a very clean location. It is located directly beside the beach. Parking is a little tight if you have an SUV/Truck, but it is still doable. The breakfast was great too! Definitely try them out!!

Great location! Free parking. Free breakfast. Close to so many restaurants, shops, bars, marina and less than 2 miles to beach. Perfecto!!
