What a job they did all my hair!!! I had use drugstore products to color my hair, and it was a pure mess. They did a color correction, and it turned out so good. The price was extremely expensive especially since I have thin short hair. DC pricing. It was over $300 before the tip of. I will probably only go back for emergencies just because they're so expensive.

Everyone was super friendly, and it was a nice atmosphere. I booked a deluxe which is a deep conditioning, cut and blow dry for $75. After the cut, and deep conditioning, my stylist asked me if I wanted do the blow dry or not. I decided not to have it dried, since I have curly hair and blowouts on my hair take upwards of an hour, plus it wasn't too cold outside. My issue is that I was still charged the full $75, which was the price INCLUDING the blow dry. Since we decided not to do the blow dry, I really feel that I should not have been charged for it. $75 seems a bit pricey for just a simple cut and deep conditioning, especially when you're being charged for a service you didn't end up receiving AND when your stylist asked you straight up whether or not you wanted it. I was happy with the cut, but probably won't return to the salon due to this.

Awesome salon I love hairstylist Lee she is professional and cares about the health of her clients hair. She has colored my hair numerous times and it always looks beautiful and is very healthy

After having a terrible experience at another salon in March 2021 (posted a review on my Yelp), I had a fear of going to a salon. My ends were so dry and dead and the overall look of my hair was just so unhealthy. The Southern Roots Hair Salon was my saving grace! Everyone inside was absolutely so sweet and talked me through every single process. I got my hair washed, cut, and styled with some long bangs and face shaping. My stylist was Lauren Wallace and I cannot recommend her enough! She was by far the most amazing stylist I have ever been to. 100% recommend this salon and 1000% recommend Lauren!

I highly recommend this salon! Lauren did an amazing job, I got exactly what I asked for and was picturing my hair to look like. I got partial highlights and a cut. The color is perfect and my cut is awesome I would definitely come back here!

So glad my boyfriend told me to come here just got here from Cali and only went to one place but I went there thinking this is what I needed but Lauren was really honest and gave her opinion on what service I really needed found my hair so I can totally say I found my new place

Im new to the area and it was my first time trying Southern roots and Lee did a fantastic job on my hair! I just wanted a trim with some face framing pieces and she did exactly what I ask. Such a good experience so happy I found this gem of a hair salon!

Easy to find, convenient parking. Salon promptly returns calls. Appointments are easy to set. Very welcoming, friendly staff. I got a GREAT cut here. It was absolutely fabulous. 3 stars instead of 5 because: (1) the register covers and ceiling vents are positively filthy with what looks to be years & years of nastiness cascading out of them. The sight of them as you're getting your hair washed makes you want to hold your breath and not inhale till you get back to your stylist's chair. Truly disgusting. Gag-inducing. Salon owner needs to get the ducts cleaned ASAP! So gross! (2) not all stylists and customers were wearing masks.

This will be my third time getting full highlights with Kelly. She’s awesome!! Very nice and friendly!! Makes me feel like I’m hanging out with a friend. Prices are reasonable and she even stays late to accommodate customers. Very pleased overall!!
