Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Great shopping experience. Pharmacy staff the best. My 1st visit was over 2years ago for flu shot and Mecca was so gentle and professional. He was an asset to Walgreens. However, I still feel confident going here.

Something has happened since they switched pharmacists and Joe Britt PharmD left. This pharmacy used to be run so well. Kind and efficient staff was what I had become accustomed to over the last decade of using this pharmacy. Now, the new pharmacist doesn’t make eye contact with people, seems to take joy in making people wait at length to be acknowledged. Staff is not helpful and is rigid with everything. I was standing behind a poor women who couldn’t afford her meds and the tech flippantly said, “well maybe you could go around to some doctors offices somewhere and find a RX discount card at one of them.” As the women stood there looking at her like..really? However, I know for a fact that This Walgreens has always been willing to add discount cards to help people in the past. They have them there. I have benefited personally in the past when I had a 500$ Out of pocket prescription. As a courtesy, the previous pharmacist applied it for a small discount because they CAN and HAVE access to the cards. But NO , not now. Not with this new regime. I ended up paying the additional amount for the woman I front of me because you could tell she was desperate and frustrated with the nonsense she was being told. But the lack of effort, concern, or even knowledge from this staff was mind blowing. This place has a bad vibe amongst the staff and the new pharmacist appears to hate her job. This is not the Walgreens on 39th I once knew and loved. I will have to go somewhere else to fill my family’s meds now. It’s Just way too annoying of a place to deal with. Sad and disappointing

Was traveling north and needed prescription. Brian, the pharmacist stopped what he was doing to make it happen quickly so we could get back on the road. Thank you five stars!

Switched to the 39th Street Walgreens from CVS because closer to home. The pharmacy at this Walgreens is chronically understaffed. Usually have 1 pharmacy and 1 technician on hand. Not enough to handle Iines and drive thru. Last week dropped off a transfer from CVS to them. CVS said no refills...so they did nothing. Didn't call and tell me, no text message, didn't contact Dr. for refill. I don't blame the folks that work there, I blame Walgreens management for caring more about overall store salaries than customer service.

Everyone at this pharmacy is so kind and very knowledgeable. I've never had to wait very long. I also love the text reminders when my prescriptions need to be refilled. I can submit my request to refill it by the same text, and the let me know when it's ready. This Walgreens is such a peaceful place.

Slowest prescription refill ever! Never in my life has this process taken so long. My mom was coming out of surgery and needed some prescriptions - all she wanted was her meds so she could go home. She was in pain, tired and sore. We came back 4 times, and the meds were still “not ready yet”. Even received the text message telling me they were ready... but were they? No. Ridiculous!

THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST WALGREENS EVER!!!!! You may not think much about a pharmacy, but being that my brother and my sister-in-law are pharmacist, I have a special appreciation for a good pharmacist. The pharmacist here, (Dr.Joe Britt I believe) is SOOOO BEYOND compassionate. He went out of his way to help me find the right medicine to treat my C. Diff. He even knew more than the doctor treating me who could've possibly neglected my awful case of C. Diff (Dr.Dickenson next door at the urgent care is absolutely TERRIBLE! NEVER GO THERE! ). But Dr. Britt helped me by answering all my questions, recommending better medication to me, and overall facilitating my speedy recovery. He is amazing!! And the rest of the customer service is also phenomenal at this Walgreens. Please go here!!

I visited this Walgreen's recently, and just want to relate a bit of a story. Let's face it, if you have been in one Walgreen's, you have been in them all. You will find them on street corners all over the country, usually in competition with the three-letter version of the same kind of store. You know where everything is in them, what they have, and nothing really changes. So the only thing left about one of these stores is the customer experience... how you are treated when you enter the store and go about making your purchases... That is what I am going to relate to you today. When I walked in, I was greeted with a hearty good afternoon. This was not one that was forced... it was just a good-natured greeting that welcomed me to the store. I went through the store to pick up the few things I needed, brought them to the front and paid without issue. Then, as I was leaving, I heard the same greeter thank me for coming in the store, and we got into a brief discussion about just how nice a day it was. It was simply a nice experience to see courtesy come through at the store, and the reason that I am giving them five stars.
