I shop here whenever I get fed up with Publix's horrible prices. I'm not sure if it's actually any cheaper, but at least they've got some nice store brands. As far as Winn Dixies go, this one is pretty good. It's very large, has plenty of parking, and appears to have been remodeled within the past few years. My two complaints are that 1) the sale prices are often deceptive; you have to watch out for the fine print saying you need the Winn Dixie card to get the discount, otherwise it's some astronomical price, and 2) the self checkout machines are extremely buggy and will probably give you trouble even if you do everything correctly, at which point you'll have to ask an employee for help. But hey, at least they have self checkout unlike Publix.

This Winn-Dixie is the only one in town that I know about, and I hope it does not close. Although it is a large store, the produce section leaves you wanting (even Ward's has a better setup) They do have a good deli section, with organic healthy snacks and drinks too. If you are working and need to get lunch, they have your choice of pretty good wings ready to go. Lots and lots of great sides like cole slaw, potato salad, etc. that come in small medium and large sizes, depending on how many mouths you have to feed. They have a pretty good wine and beer séection as well! They also have a great spice selection that is BETTER THAN PUBLIX! I found whole allspice kernels here for making Jamaican jerk, and those are hard to find ungrounded. Nice! I have not really checked out the meat department at this store, but I did like the one near 23rd & Main, so hopefully they continue with the same high quality here. There's plenty of parking and it's close to Depot Park, so a nice lunch in the grass by the lake is a must. Hurry, hurry, before the mosquitos are back!

Since this is my local Winn-Dixie, it's only right that I review it after a great shopping experience. This Winn-Dixie is a great place to shop! The employees are always helpful and will take the time make sure you have exactly what you need. This Winn-Dixie store is easy to navigate as they follow the typical grocery store layout: fresh fruit and veggies up front and the essentials like bread, eggs and milk in the back. Additionally, the hot bar with freshly cooked foods is great! The food is always hot and the taste is delicious. Furthermore, this store just got new shopping carts so if you want to shop at a place that doesn't have mess up wheels and squeaky noises (I seem to have this issue everywhere else) this is the place for you! Also, their flower section is phenomenal. This is an affordable option to buy nice flowers and plants for yourself or significant other. The only complaint I have about this Winn-Dixie is the self checkout always seems to have problems or technical issues. Almost every time I go, the employee on deck is always being called over to fix one of the machines. Other than that, I have no complaints about this Winn-Dixie.

There are cheaper, better stores in the area. Don't waste your time unless you are desperate. Customer service is poor, as is the product mix. The grocery store next door isn't much better.

I don't know why everyone "hates on" Winn Dixie. I wouldn't go here for produce (because I prefer to show at Ward's), but dry goods, dairy, etc are always in stock and amongst the lowest prices in town. The store is clean and staff friendly. The liquor store is good, the manager Rufus is very knowledgeable.
