I’m new to Jacksonville, Florida and strike zone was recommended to me from some fishing friends. I met at the Jacksonville pier I inquired about the fishing cart that everyone had and they recommended I go to strike zone to purchase one when I arrived. There was a very nice gentleman that I spoke with and he told me he had a few on sale so I took one that was sealed in a box. I assumed it was brand new when I got home to open it, the whole kit look like it had been preassembled then taken apart and when they disassembled it, they broke all the carrier rods. The main thing you need in a fishing cart. This is very disappointing. You would think that they would make sure that whatever they’re selling is complete and intact. Not one item was put back in the original plastic packaging. When I open the box everything fell out like someone had just thrown it together. I’m going back to them after my appointment tomorrow morning at the cancer center to see how they’re going to rectify the situation. I’m also a United States Air Force veteran. I would think at least they would either upgrade my cart or give me something back on the cost of it but either way they need to take this broken cart back and make me whole., we’ll see you tomorrow
FOLLOW UP. I returned today after I returned today after my appointment, And as soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a nice young lady at the counter who remembered me from yesterday, which impressed me very much. I explained what happened and She quickly apologized for the situation and assured me that she would get another cart and we would open it to make sure that it wasn’t preassembled and that the parts were unbroken. We open the box and look in it. I kind of glanced through it, but the young lady looked through it, and assured me she saw all of the rod holders and the screws and bolts that were needed. She also informed me that they had purchased these from a third-party dealer and that I was not the first Customer to return this particular fishing cart because of similar experience. She made the whole experience very seamless. She empathized with my situation and sent me on my way with a new box and cart. Once I arrived home I started the assembly and to my joy I saw that none of the parts were broken. The wheels were actually inflated, not deflated and the screws, nuts and bolts were in the box, however, I noticed that they were not in a sealed bag. They were in a Ziploc bag that you would purchase at a grocery store. However, I started to assemble it, and I got to the end of the assembly and I am missing at least three parts one screw one bolt and one washer without them the cart is completely useless so I called again and spoke with the nice gentleman that helped me the first day I was there and he assured me that if I come down there they would have some extra parts so that I could finish up my cart and once again he empathize and apologize for the situation, then later that day I received a text message from the owner Dave and he too, expressed his concern and that he wanted to make sure that I was pleased with the service that I had received. and because of my experience he offered a $25 gift card when I return to pick up the missing parts. So tomorrow I’m going back down there to hopefully get everything rectified. This has been an experience that I would not wish on anyone, however, I told Dave the owner. that all businesses make mistakes, but it is a test of your customer service on how you correct that mistake and make your Customer hole so far they are making a concerted effort to show that they care about their customers experience and their store and to make them feel valued. Dave has assembled a really good group of people there they made a mistake. They owned it and are in the process of correcting it in a timely manner. Great job team.! I’m going to upgrade my rating to a 4. They earned it.

This is a fantastic local mom-and-pop business that carries high quality products and provides first class service to their customers. They do a lot of great work in the community, plus they are very welcoming and accommodating of my autistic daughter. I won't go anywhere else for my fishing needs!

This is a review written by my husband, Robert. I recently became aware of strike zone in Jacksonville and used a number of their services. I have had multiple reels - fly , spin and conventional repaired, cleaned, and new lines put on them. I found all their staff have excellent knowledge, are hard-working and professional. The store is extremely well stocked, and the staff is willing to provide advice to customers so they know all of there options. I have dealt with a number of large tackle stores and strikes zone is outstanding. Thank you for all the great service, Robert Spaulding
