Suburban Propane is unreliable and terrible with their customer service in my area (lower keys.) I have scheduled 3 times and did not show but charged me like they filled my tanks. They caught their mistake a few days later. I called the main office and was told the local office would call me back to reschedule again. No call but got an email to reschedule. No thanks.

I got the phone number to this company from the manufacture of our gas water heater. When I called they advised me that I would need to open an account and have a leak test done bodorrio they can perform any repairs. The leak test was around $140 per house. After this they advised me I had a bad regulator and some other valve was also leaking. I agreed to change them both. That was around another $400. I’m almost $700 in and they haven’t even looked at our water heaters. Finally tech complete a diagnostic, which I was also charged about $100 per unit. Took the technician 3 visits over about a 3 month period to finally figure it out. On the last visit he asked if we would be needing our 1000 gallon propane tanks topped off. I told him that we still had about 1/2 the tank on both houses and that I would reach out if/when we required propane. About 2 weeks later I Show up to my home on a Friday afternoon to find a $3000 bill hanging from my door. They had topped off both tanks without my permission. I was furious! I called and spoke to a manager. He told me that everyone who opens an account agrees accounting the contract that they would be automatically topped off once a year. Read the fine print they said. He offered to have whatever amount of propane removed or give it to me at a discounted rate. The bill was still close to $1800.Make sure you read the fine print everyone or they will get you like they got us!

I loved the guys that came out to install my new tank. I switched from amerigas to suburban because of the bad service and I was told suburban was a family company. The guys placed the tank beside my concrete pad, in the dirt, which I didn't notice at the time due to the shrubs around it. They were working on my tank when I got home, which I was very pleased due to me not being able to get off work until 3:30. Install was done when I got home. I asked them to rotate my tank and reinstall the gas line going from the ground to the tank. The gas line protrudes out about a foot then goes into the ground. I told the tech I have 3 kids and I need the tank spun and the gas line tighter to the tank. He agreed and said no problem, it's included in the install. They dug down about a foot and said it was to deep. I told him we are on coral rock and it's only about a foot and a half. The day was done and I understand your exhausted and want to go home. He said they would come out tomorrow first thing and fix it. I said no problem, enjoy your night, see you tomorrow. Survey popped up and I jumped up to see my new tank installed, as they promised, and realized they never came. I called him with no answer around 7. Sent him a very upset text and he called immediately. Said he would come out Friday!! Friday!! You promised me next day. Now I'm at 3 days later. Please send someone else out to complete install. I'm tired of people taking advantage of good people that give hard workers the benefit of the doubt. Thank you. I know you guys are great or I wouldn't have switched. My star reflects me trusting you because so many of my peers throughout the 15 years living here have recommended Suburban.

Spoke to someone named Vicky once a week for around 5 weeks trying to get a formal quote and schedule an appointment to purchase and get a new propane tank installed. Kept promising to get back to me and never did. Called one day when Vicky was out and got someone named Stephanie, who had me sorted out and scheduled for an appointment in less than a week. Thank God for Stephanie, or I probably would have given up and went with another company, and this wouldn't be a 4 star rating.
