I usually do not leave reviews but my recent moving experience was a lot less stressful than I expected. The moving crew was quick and efficient. The guys were very careful with my furniture and other belongings along with being very professional. The owner was also extremely professional and very helpful.

SO disappointed. I was very excited to be able to hire a moving team to move a pool table I bought off facebook marketplace. Initially Dave was responsive and we scheduled the move to happen with a pickup time of 3-5 on Friday. He said they would give me an hour notice before they headed out. I received no notification so by 2pm I inquired about pickup and long story short they had excuses and that they were hung up at another job. How unprofessional. I waited for HOURS after that. by 7pm I was over it and asked if they could do it the next day, he said he maybe could saturday but DEFINITELY on sunday. No reply since. Bunch of promises but none were met, decided I was tired of being given the runaround and hired another company. What a joke.

If I could give them no stars I would! The owner Dave comes off as a caring and responsible SBO .. he is irresponsible, lies and this company should NEVER be used. I hired them to move me out of my marital home and I was told after DAVE the owner came to do a site visit that he would give me an estimate over and above what he thought it would be and when his men came his leadMover John told me it would be more. I stated it felt like I was 'baited and switched ' but I was in no situation to fire them and find someone else. Not only did they have employees who smelled like marijuana but they continuously smoked as they took my furniture out of my house & into the truck.Unlike other movers I've dealt with in the past up north, they did not wrap anything and just stuck things on a truck haphazardly resulting in damaged and broken items and furniture. They moved my belongings into storage facilities and not only did they lose the expensive locks I bought they still have not credited my cc (as promised by Dave the owner) for my costs! After all my items were moved to storage I went to the storage UNITS to see how they were packed ... I was HORRIFIED they JUST PILLED my items with clearly marked fragile boxes on the bottom and heavy furniture on top! To add insult to injury they placed my heavy patio furniture on my leather sectional couches which now are permanently damaged. I sent photographs to the owner, I made several calls, several text messages and he finally sent John his (now) former employee & another guy to rearrange the furniture but the damage was already done. John also showed me the brand new wine refrigerator that they dropped off the side of the truck that Dave the owner NEVER MENTIONED. By this time I am so disgusted, all I wanted was my furniture to be repaired and for them to come good on replacing the door on the wine refrigerator as they promised. I have sent several emails with photographs , text messages & left voicemails with no response. The owner is NOT PROFESSIONAL, lacks integrity and is not responsible business owner. I told Dave and his foreman John how disappointed I was and they said they would make it right... Dave said he would make it right after I REMOVE the negative comment here. I said I will modify my review once I am satisfied with his service. To this date 4.23.2020 he has NOT responded to any of my communications to make things right. Dave, I know you will read this... ready to make this right and not let this be a reflection on your company? These are just a few pictures...

I have used this company four times. This was the last time. I was apalled at the price. The foreman for the move made two trips instead of one trip and we had to pay double the money. I was taking for time which was not cheap by the hour. They actually wanted to do a third trip but I told he was a thief. Beware!!!!!

They showed up late, didn’t bring enough supplies, under estimated the size truck needed so my move out of my house was delayed which delayed walkthrough and closing. Boxes were not labeled or packed properly, art work was not boxed as promised. When we finally got around to uncovering a kitchen table, which was buried under a pile of our belongings in the garage, we found it was not just damaged - it was smashed. The President of Dixie moving offered in writing to pay to replace the table. We made every effort to find a similar table and got Dave’s approval in writing of the cost. A month and a half later we have not received the promised funds. We were told twice “the check went out” and nothing.

This company changed its name to Dixie Moving and storage but the address, telephone number are exactly the same. If I could I would rate them a 0! We hired Dixie Movers to move us over 50 miles away. They were late arriving because their truck broke down. They finally arrived in a rented truck that turned out to be too small for my move. They packed what they could in the one truck and had to come back with a second truck the next morning (the day of the closing which delayed the walk thru, etc) they didn't bring enough packing boxes, we have a lot of canvas artwork and was assured they would be boxed, they were not. When we arrived at our new house, boxes were unloaded without regard to the room they belonged in. There was a big pile of our things thrown in the garage. The biggest source of our complaint is that we moved a kitchen table and chairs that we were giving to a relative. When he came to get it, we found the table buried under a pile of our belongings and it was smashed to pieces. I immediately texted Dave with pictures and explained how upset we were. He assured me he would make it right. Over the next few days I researched tables and received his approval in writing that he would pay for it all I had to do was submit my invoice, which I did. From then on the run around started. The check was sent, but never cashed had to stop it and send a new one, oh I thought the check went out I'll check, I'm short handed, etc, etc etc. I have photos, texts, and emails all backing up what I'm saying. It's over a month and nothing. So we decided to inform the public of the type of business this is. We never asked for reimbursement, it was offered and because of that we replaced the table and are out a significant amount of money. Buyer beware.

A very disheartening experience. The owner, Dave, met me and certainly appeared reputable. He quoted a price based on the contents of the house and scheduled the move.

I left my moving company, already line up for Dixie moving and I regret my decision. If you already have a previous moving company and they are good, stick with them. Don't switch company for a sweet talk or discount. My cash discount will entitle me for a poor and undesirable experience with dave @ Dixies moving. If you get a call from someone like dave from Dixie moving, Trying to tell that he does a better job that anybody else and give you a better price. Think again and again. I got my delivery @10:40pm after I requested after 3pm delivery after my house closing. My kids and wife were sleeping on the floor, tires of waiting. I called dave several time, but he doesn't like answer your calls, just like to text you And when you ask and complain. He doesn't reply but if you ask for a discount, he's fights back thru text with you. With attitude and excuse and no apology at all. He's drivers were apologizing for him. A little discount with a company you don't know, how big of headache you will get. Stick with what you know and don't trust any sweet talk. Dave You won this time, but you lost a customer for life. That was very dirty of you and coward. Also they dropped my temper glass outdoor dining table, lucky didn't brake, just scratch, but the insurance doesn't cover his scratches

INCOMPETENT AND UNETHICAL! David Philpot, owner of All-Dixie moving, assured me that my mom's move from FL to GA would be smooth and uneventful, but in reality, it was a complete disaster! Not only did the team of movers arrive very late to do the packing, they were clearly untrained and/or unmotivated to actually pack and protect my mom's items. Whereas David convinced me that taking out the extra insurance would be unnecessary because his crew was trained to pack, transport, and unload without causing damage, our experience was the opposite. I assumed that this mover would have basic competence- BUT I WAS SO WRONG! What kind of mover leaves glass shelves inside a glass sided cabinet? As they were moving the cabinet into the apartment, we heard the crash of the shelves falling and breaking. In all, three glass shelves and the beveled side piece were broken. Rob, the mover, knew it was his fault (he "packed" and moved the shelves and other items) and repeatedly apologized. David, the owner, assured me that either his insurance or he himself would pay for the repair ($544.49) and strung us along week after week. The check NEVER arrived. Unbelievably, the nightmare continued when two days after the disastrous move, my 87-year-old mother slit her toe on a shard of glass that had been left on the carpet after the cabinet glass shattered. This caused her to bleed all over the carpet and necessitated a trip to an urgent care center where she received five stitches! Since she has poor circulation, this wound still has not healed 5 weeks later. At least a professional carpet cleaning removed the blood stains on her new carpet. What kind of mover arrives to unload without even a hand truck?! The two movers were literally carrying each item one by one. It was utterly ridiculous. Another major disaster occurred when they carried in a large chest of drawers, tilted it the wrong way (so all the drawers slid out) causing one drawer and one side door on the cabinet to break. David Philpot, owner of All-Dixie Moving and Storage, must live with himself and his lack of ethics, but you do not. STAY AWAY FROM THIS UNPROFESSIONAL AND INCOMPETENT MOVER!

I've booked a moving with Dixie for Friday at 10:00 AM. They didn't showed up at the agreed time my husband called and they told him they were running late so we waited and waited and waited around 2:PM my husband called and he got a recording message stating that all the moving were cancelled due to Hurricane Dorian but It was schedule for Friday and hurricane was supposed to be in Florida on Tuesday. No reason to cancel at the last minute. We panic!! we starting calling several companies. American movers offer to do it ASAP. They sent someone with in the next 2 hours Thanks God because we were supposed to be out of the house that day. American Movers saved our life that day. They were very professional and very fast. We finished around 9 PM at night because of the irresponsibility of Dixie Movers. I will not recommend this company to any one. I will understand if the Hurricane was coming on Saturday but It was coming on Tuesday not reason to cancel. we didn't even got a decent call explaining the cancellation. Very unprofessional.

I wouldn't even give them one star They ruined a piece of my furniture and my front door and never replied to my calls to get it fixed whatever you don't use this company If the owner would have enough consideration to actually respond to me it would've made it much better he said he was going to fix the furniture and the front door and then ignored all my calls

The two guys arrived on time and did a great job. Hard working and very accommodating. They were very mindful of helping me stay within my limited space so that I wouldn't be charged extra for the truck space. This is my 3rd time using this company and every time they did a great job!!!!!

I called this company to do a move for me. Went really well. Sam and I think Matt or Mark came. And they did not stop for one second until it was done. If I changed my mind on where I wanted a piece, they moved it with a smile. Big pieces little pieces, everything. They always had their hands full and moved quickly. It was hot, and I even recommended they take a 10 minute break, but they kept moving, at full speed, for 3.5 hours. Plus, it was cool I got charged to the half hour and not the full extra hour some places charge.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We recently hired this company to move us about 4 miles down the road. We hired them because they assured us that they could safely move our 70inch TV. Once it was discovered that the whole bottom of the TV was cracked we plugged it and only half of the picture was working. We called Dave Sr and left several VM's. Finally after receiving a call back he told us to contact the owner, Dave Jr who handles all claims. We sent him pictures and serial info. He said he would contact his insurance company and get back to us. Week after week I requested an update on the status of the claim and promised it was in process. Now more than 2 months later they will not return a phone call, text message or email. We have now hired an attorney to help us with the claim. What kind of company will not even respond to an email or call? I am totally disgusted with this company and will never recommend them for anything to anyone.
