I just started to learn how to Needlepoint and visited this cute Boutique store in Lake Park. They have a Fabulous selection and the owner took her time to help and show me around. I also signed up for a Wednesday class that they hold for needlepointing! Looking forward to this Wednesday :)

I had worked with the fabulous Anne via phone for some fibers in the past. I was so looking forward to visiting the shop, but what a disappointment. This was the single worst experience I have ever had in any LNS anywhere in the country. I have visited plenty. again, I must say that Ann is knowledgeable, helpful and extraordinarily kind. However, the owner, Kathy is an absolute *itch. She seem to resent my even walking in the shop, and at one point she scolded Ann because "when you're working with that lady (me) it's too distracting. You need to get back to your paperwork." Her behavior was disgraceful. I came in ready to spend and stitch ended up walking out the door after giving her a piece of my mind. Unless this is the only needlepoint shop you can get to I would avoid it. There are other great options north and south of here.

I just love going to this place. They have the best thread. Probably could use some more variety in canvas selection. Very Pricey but worth it.

Kathy is very knowledgeable and is always there for advice if you ask. Love how close they are to our home and they sell stretch frames!

This little shop housed a great offering of fibers and canvases and books etc. They were also hosting a large trunk show. The staff was super helpful and very friendly.

The owner of the store was super rude/aggressive to my husband. He barely step foot into the shop and was shoved out of her store. He wanted to buy a present for my two young daughter's great grandmother who loves needle point. He didnt have the kids with him "Thank God". He was told to wait his turn before coming in. He waited patiently while wearing a mask for a few minutes while they were staring at him through the glass, they had called the Sheriff's department and issued him a no trespassing warrant after they searched him for no reason he didn't even say 2 words before they were kicking him out. There were at least 11 people in the store while being searched. This is uncalled for. NEVER GO HERE THEY ARE NOT FRIENDLY OR FOR FAMILIES. DOESNT EVEN DESERVE THIS ONE STAR.

She called the Sheriff's department on him for no reason, he barely said 2 words to the lady. He got a no trespassing warrant like WTF lady, he just wanted to a buy a nice gift for his grandmother. Today’s shopping experience at Needlepoint Alley was wonderful . The guidelines ensured our covid safety by limiting shoppers to two at a in the store .Kathy and Patti were friendly and very helpful . I was interested in a particular canvas and was happy to have multiple choices available .I’ll be sure to go back for another needlepoint project in the near future .

So while it’s true that the shop owner is not necessarily the friendliest lady and can come across as a bit abrasive, she is very knowledgeable. I believe that because more money is made on canvases than threads, she might simply not appreciate customers who buy canvases elsewhere and then come to her shop just for the threads, as I have done. Unfortunately, it’s easy to purchase canvases online and I just haven’t found the canvases I want in her shop, and there aren’t a lot of thread shops around (and I prefer buying threads in person rather than online). Having said that, at the end of the day, she has always been very helpful to me in choosing threads, and her shop has a nice selection. Also, I have had two Christmas stockings finished through her shop which both came out AWESOME, I was very pleased, they were done very professionally (made my amateur stitching look better than it really was!).

Went in for the first time today. A wonderful pleasant experience. I needed to buy some thread to complete my canvas. The gentleman who helped me pick out my thread was attentive as well as gracious...gave me some great pointers as well! The lady in the store was very complimentary of my needlepoint work. I will most definitely return.
