I hate that as a handicapped individual I have to walk to the opposite side of the store to get a buggy then walk all the way to customer service or back to self pickup and then again back to the other side to check out if I decide to purchase anything. It just kills me. |

Subject: Unpleasant Experience with Cashier Drew at Lakeside Village Kohl'sI had a rather disheartening encounter with a cashier named Drew at the Lakeside Village Kohl's tonight, and I feel compelled to share my experience. While I understand the concept of coupon exclusions, the way Drew handled the situation left much to be desired. Despite only one item being excluded from my coupon, she insisted the coupon was invalid for all my purchases, displaying an unwarranted level of bluntness and rudeness.Even after conceding and setting aside items I initially wanted to purchase, Drew's lack of assistance extended to directing me to customer service; when I asked which way it was, without looking up, she told me "look for the signs."The unpleasantness continued when my son (special needs and legally blind), in a separate transaction, was coerced into buying items I had set aside, only to find out later that he wasn't given the sale price on his remaining purchases. Drew, in an unusual move, waited until my son's transaction was underway, with his card in the machine, to add my set-aside items to his haul. This unexpected addition not only caught my son off guard but also resulted in him being told by Drew, when he said he didn’t want those items because they were not his, that he had to buy these items because I left them on the counter. When we got home, we realized she didn’t even give him the sale prices on his items. That had to take conscious effort for her to somehow do.Our encounters with Drew were not only frustrating but also left me questioning the professionalism and customer service standards at Kohl's. It's disheartening to witness such behavior, especially when it involves a cashier acting in a retaliatory manner towards a child. I hope this feedback reaches the appropriate channels at Kohl's corporate, prompting a reevaluation of customer service practices and ensuring a more positive shopping experience for others.The store manager I spoke with at customer service gave me a small amount of Kohls Cash as an apology, but I’m so upset right now that I don’t even want to shop here again.
