Love this place! They took care of my sick dog as a matter of urgency with the upmost care and professionalism, since then they have also cared for our other pet, very happy to have found them, specially when we needed them the most! Thank you!!

I brought one of my cats here. After a load of tests, he was diagnosed with diabetes. I did have a decision to make which I did within a couple hours to go ahead and do what needed to care for my cat. This place does not keep insulin on hand. They can order it and they charge $214 for a bottle of Prozinc. Chewy has it for $126. I contacted them about ordering through Chewy. They refuse to work with Chewy or any other pharmacy for that matter. I can drive back for a written prescription (mind you they were closed for the weekend and we had hurricane Debby coming & closed Monday too), mail that in to a pharmacy and wait for them to process & mail med to me. I tried one more time but they state it's office policy. So apparently, they don't mind if your pet suffers or dies as long as they uphold office policy. And to not allow me to order meds that they had to order as well is asinine. I guess if you need a vaccine they might be okay but they will never touch another one of my pets. Beware because they tried to do a lot more unnecessary things that would have been all for naught now knowing the diagnosis.

I usually go to Companion Animal Hospital in Live Oak, but they were booked for three weeks and recommended Caring Hands. Sufficeth to say, it does not live up to its name. I expressed concerns about my cat’s swollen eyeball and they assured me it was only minor swelling. They wouldn’t do an examination first but persuaded me to get her rabies, aids and respiratory illness shots. (which totaled to about $400) Then when I came back the second time for her to be fixed and have her eye examined, they drugged her for the spaying surgery but when they examined her eye they called saying she had glaucoma and charged me 900 for the surgery and 200 for euthanasia. I said no to both and they still charged me 90 dollars for the drugging for the surgery that NEVER TOOK PLACE after talking me into 400 dollars for previous shots that I was manipulated into agreeing to BEFORE the eye examination that should have been done first. When the staff saw I was at a loss as what to do, their attitude was “not my problem.” Avoid Caring Hands. The only thing they care about is the almighty buck. And I have it from two other people—a neighbor and a casual acquaintance—who said the same thing. So that makes three people with the same experience and impression. That many people can’t be wrong.

We were so pleased with our first visit! Our doctor was very good with our dog, who can be difficult. Everyone was kind & knowledgeable. We didn’t have to wait when we got there either. In the past, at other vets, we have encountered problems because other animals were all over the waiting room & our dog doesn’t tolerate other animals very well. Thank you, Caring Hands, for living up to your name!❤️ The Hendersons

We took our dog in with a knee injury. We told Caring hands multiple times to not give her any shots because she had an appointment at her regular vet the next week. We also told them multiple times that the dog was in the middle of a 2 part de-wormer treatment. They kept our dog for a few hours to run some tests and when we picked her up, she was in very bad shape. We had to restrain her while she howled in terror for over 3 hours. Finally, after she calmed down, I looked at the paperwork. They had given her ALL of her shots and had also given her another de-wormer. Exactly what we told them not to do. With that horrid attention to detail and the arrogance of doing exactly what we asked them not to do, I can only assume they messed up the sedatives they gave her, causing an awful reaction. We thought we were going to lose our baby over making a very bad decision to trust Caring Hands. We are so thankful to know this now and will certainly never trust them again. Icing on the cake is they charged us $600 bucks to torture our baby and do exactly what they were told not to do.

I really wanted to like this place, but they have several things they need to work on. The first bad sign is that on all the times I went there I never saw anyone waiting to be seen. There are many reasons for this. First off, the vet has very little experience. For My dog’s first visit after adoption, she gave him a clean bill of health, but once I took him to another vet on first visit he listened to his heart and said it didn’t sound right and after a heart worm test he came back positive. I also had many problems with prescriptions since they don’t tell you up front they simply “don’t talk” to Chewy. This was told to me in a rude way. One of the receptionists has poor costumer service and is very rude. They just seem to have no interest in keeping customers.

Caring Hands and their staff are always very professional, kind, and helpful. They do anything they can to try to make you and your pet comfortable and to help anyway they can. They talk to Savannah, who loves to talk. I love Caring Hands and their staff and so does Savannah.

Nice people but surprised none of the girls who took my girl in didn't even welcome her or even give a cursory pet. Wondered if they liked dogs. Love the little ones loving under the desk. Love their efficiency and prices. I would go back, to come to a better understanding. Maybe I caught them on the fly.
