Saturday December 2 at 4pm we sadly prepared to say goodbye to our fur daughter Ariel who gave us 13 years of unconditional love. The staff on duty that day were compasionate, patient and understanding as they helped us through this sad ordeal. Today I shed some fresh tears as I read the sympathy card with an ink print of Ariels nose and paw. I shall treasure this card.I will gladly entrust the care of any future fur babies to Banfield Hospital in Margate. Thank you, from the Maxwell Family.

I have always loved this Banfield. They have taken amazing care of my Shar Pei who is not always the easiest to deal with. However, their weekend staff and management team have extremely poor communication, which has lead to multiple phone calls trying to get money back for a services that the weekend staff (including the vets and vet techs that have actually met my dog) told me I should go outside of Banfield to receive, but management (who has never met my dog before) insists I just need to go to another Banfield hospital for.I am so upset to have to move away from this clinic that I trusted because it took multiple attempts to find a veterinary team that I felt comfortable with. However, after this experience we are cancelling our Banfield plans and will be looking for a clinic where we can trust the entire team, and not just the ones there on the weekends.

We have been with this Banfield since we got our first dog so about 8 or 9 years. Until the last two appointments our experience had been rather good. However, this last appointment has me looking for a new vet. I usually do a drop off appointment for our two dogs. I find it is less stressful on them. In the past you check in fill out some paperwork and then within about ten min a vet tech comes out to ask any concerns and takes them back. They then call when the girls are done and you go pick them up.Today was not like this at all. First I check in and they take me to a room which seemed odd since I was dropping them off. I filled out my paperwork and then sat patiently with both my girls nervously waiting for the tech. At the 40 min mark I called the front desk and ask hey for a drop off appointment I’ve been waiting for like 40 min is there something wrong this has never happened. The front desk person named Sergio was short and said I’ll check and then hung up. Side note the room I was in I could hear everything from the front and the room next door and the vet area. So he said Room one is impatient and never went to do anything as you can hear all the doors open and close and all the conversations. I then hear a tech go into the room next to mine and get the dog for a drop off appointment. Normally this would have been like oh maybe I’m next except that person checked in 30 minutes after me and had only been waiting for the normal ten or so min. I waited another 5 min and nothing. So now I’m super mad, my patience is gone and my dogs had already been nervous wrecks so I get up and leave. I tell the text that the lack of communication and customer service is disappointing and I’ve never had anyone waste my time so badly with no communication. If they had just communicated any issues as to why I was waiting it would have been fine but to sit there for that long no water for my girls and no reason why I had to wait that long for a dropOff was ridiculous. So unless you have nothing to better to do than sit in a room all day waiting DO NOT go here.

Fantastic. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcome. The girls and doctor do a good job at making you feel at ease. They seem to love the animals.Kalli was awesome, I was really happy overall and will definitely make this one my new home

July 2023 by Coach Rob
We took our Yorkie to this place on June 27th. She was having problems breathing. While waiting for the doctor, I was called up to the desk to pay a wellness bill. My mind was not settled on this problem as the bigger, more important problem needed our immediate attention. We left to go to another pet hospital that had an x-ray machine; leaving i told them to cancel the wellness program. Banfield Hospital did not have the facilities to handle this emergency. This should be called a clinic because you would expect a hospital to have an x-ray machine. Unfortunately, Chanel passed away on July 1. We never heard from Banfield, asking about Chanel's condition. We did hear from Banfield to pay the wellness plan. Four times within 3.5 weeks, Banfield keeps calling about paying for Chanel's wellness plan. 4 times I told them to take our name and number off the list. Chanel has passed away, so why should I pay for a bill. Every phone call brings back memories. Every phone call gets very emotional for us. But they haven't stopped calling. I told Banfield corporate, and I've told Banfield Margate to stop and take our name and number off the list. Have they stopped? No! I get told that I have to call corporate. I have told Corporate every time they call me. Joseph from corporate hung up on me 9n July 27th at 4:30 p.m. When you are so big that all you are concerned about is money, something is wrong. Your priorities are messed up. Margate says they can't call corporate. How does that happen? How can you not contact your boss? Something needs to happen, update the system, and make sure communication is working, but torturing your patients is out of control. I'm sure we aren't the only ones that this is happening to. Don't tell me your number concern is your pet when you don't ask about the pet. But you threaten to give this to a collection agency. So if Margate Banfield can't contact Corporate and we tell corporate to stop and take our names off, and nothing happens, who is controlling Corporate? Corporate needs to take our names off their list and quit harassing us, stalking us and bullying us during our time of grief. We aren't paying any bills because there shouldn't be any bills. We requested to be off the list in June. No services have been rendered. I don't recommend this place to anyone who cares and loves your pet like family. Because family doesn't treat other family members this way. What else can we do? Every time this is brought up, it brings back emotional memories ?. Is there anyone at Banfield who cares?

This review has one star because they dont give me the option to give 0 stars. I thought this Vet was great for one reason: the nurse Symone. I had wrote them glowing reviews because she was so patient with my rescue dog. This review has NOTHING to do with her and everything to do with the practice managers. I noticed for months I've been paying for neutering which we didn't have done. So I stop paying the bill and call them. They send me in circles calling the practice managers and corporate back and forth. The practice manager says she can remove the neutering package once I pay my balance but I won't be refunded for the neutering we didn't get done. (Seriously?!) I wanted to be done with it so I pay the balance and call back to talk to the practice manager. Shes gone for the day. Now it's Memorial Day weekend. I call back on Monday and shes not in. Call back today and speak to a practice manager finally. She informs me she cannot take the neutering package off due to my May balance now being due (because I couldn't get in touch with a practice manager) So AGAIN they want me to pay for the neutering for the month of May. I feel like I have been scammed beyond belief. Do not take your pet here. If you get a Wellness plan you have to pay for that plan for a year regardless of if you get the services or not. No one explained that as I was holding a Husky who was freaking out and all I was worried about was him and getting him out of there. They just kept dropping papers in front of me to sign. I refuse to pay that May balance. They can send it to collections and I'll contact my lawyer. And in the meantime find a vet who isn't a FRAUD. STAY FAR AWAY from this place. Symone I wish you'd work somewhere else because you are an amazing nurse and honestly the only reason we stayed with this vet.
