i am so disappointed by my stay here i feel the need to warn others. First the good, the rooms are beautiful and the location is great. however, two things went horribly wrong. my mother in law was supposed to come with us but was hospitalized the day before. she called to cancel. They charged her the full price for the room anyway because their policy is 48 hours. I think that’s horrible!! i have never seen a policy that charges you for medical emergency!! Second, my room was booked with points. They upgraded my room and then charged my credit card for the room and the upgrade! I have called and emailed and the manager won’t respond. i have to fight it with my credit card now. they turned a very lovely stay into a nightmare

Meh. Staff here was not accommodating. Be aware, if an event is going on such as a wedding/bday party etc, you will not be able to access the pool. They offered us to go to the intercontinental to use their pool instead. Very inconsiderate…. Why was this not communicated when we checked in. I will never return to this hotel. Ruined last day of our trip. There are better hotels!

The customer service is not At all helpful and made us wait for 45min at 4 am in the morning just because they had an ongoing audit and the room wasn’t checked in the previous day by their staff inspite of informing about our flight delay. When you call the room service for any amenities he starts explaining and instructing that you should call room service and housekeeping separately, instead of understanding what’s the requirement of the guests. I don’t know if the other nationalities are dealt in the same way but as Indians I should say it wasn’t the best of experience at this hotel

Worst hotel experience ever, Valet parking took 1 hour each time i requested my car, cleaning service lady opened the door without knocking, tv remote, A/C was not working, there were no towels in my room, definitely the worst hotel in miami

As someone who works in the hospitality industry, I can say with true objectivity that this JW property not only lives up to the standards of Marriott in every way, but serves as a model for all luxury hotels in general. Simply a stunning lobby and a front desk team that provides a warm and welcome greeting to all. Special thanks to "Neto," Eugenia, and Faisal, bravo. A world-class concierge in Mr. Andres Meneses, who is an asset to this hotel and is the epitome of what the Les Clefs d'Or stands for. Lastly, Chef Boulud would be proud of the work the restaurant bearing his name in the lobby are doing for all their clientele. Bravo all, keep up the amazing work.

Everything about this stay was amazing, from the clean, roomy rooms to the great service from all the staff. Mohsin went out of his way to find us as we left a bag behind. He was also courteous and helpful. We will definitely return!

The room was great. Beautiful! However, we arrived and found no tv remote control. That means we had to listen to a Marriott advertisement, over and over and over. The porter called housekeeping to deliver a new remote. After an hour we called again and finally got it replaced. Then we had champagne, but only one glass in the mini bar. Calledr another glass. An hour later, no glass. I finally chased down someone in the hallway to get a glass on my own. Then the in room safe was broken. Every call for help was met by a "no one is available at this time", average 4-5 minute wait time.. .. inexcusable!!!!!! Finally, adding insult to injury, we emptied all the mini-bottles in the fridge so we could store in it what we brought. BIG MISTAKE. By removing all these bottles to the top of the fridge, Marriott charged us $135. It took 2 months and three call to get this reversed. What a PITA. Two stars overall.
Rooms: Room was beautiful, bathroom was huge, in room tv was between 70-80". View was terrible, unless you want to open your drapes to a 45 story office building with working people watching your every move.

Valet has been horrible, for years. Took 30 mins to get my car. The high-floor loyalty lounge that was available for bonvoy members is no longer available and the 19th floors games are all of a sudden ultra expensive. Breakfast on the lounge was nice compared to similar hotel brands. Biggest concern is paying $60 for a dysfunctional valet.

Asked for extra bedding, they said they ran out. Staff said they would follow up and never did. Took 2 days to get it. Room amenities were lacking for the price of the rooms.

Rooms: I was booked into a 800sq ft junior suit with both bay and city views. Very good beds, bedding and furniture around the room. The Illy coffee was top notch in the room. As a matter of fact the room felt like its own livable apartment.
Nearby activities: Close to many must areas & activities - Art galleries, shopping and multitude of restaurants
Walkability: Located in Brickell and close to the Miami Riverwalk.

The JW Marriott Marquis Miami is a first-class hotel with very good service!
We had a suite on the upper floors with a view of the city. The suite was large, clean and very well and modernly equipped.
There is an outdoor pool on the 19th floor, a great spa and a good fitness center on the 20th floor.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, whether at check-in, at breakfast, etc. The breakfast buffet offers a large and good selection of dishes and drinks.
Within walking distance you can reach the Brickell City Center or Bayfront Park with the Hard Rock Cafe and the Skyview Ferris wheel.
Only parking is a little more difficult or more expensive, as there is only valet parking at the hotel! The service here is also very good and very friendly.
I can definitely recommend the hotel.
