Been going to this gym for years and never had an issue, but the girl who works at the juice bar is making want to switch gyms at this point. Never seen an employee for an establishment with more attitude than her, went yesterday and pulled up to the juice bar at 8:28 and she told me she “opens at 8:30” as she’s chit chatting with another employee not doing anything and didn’t want to make me a shake lol easily could have just been nice and make one two minutes early. Besides that, every single time I go she always has such a bad attitude and I’m over it.

My experiences have always been extremely pleasant. Friendly staff, clean , and very organized
Even at its busy time people are considerate for other people’s time and don’t take up much time on the machines

Weights thrown around everywhere, half of the equipment is broken or needs maintenance. The equipment that actually works they lock it away for “personal training”. Staff is a bunch of kids with no supervision. Janitors/cleaning crew are the only ones that maintain that place. Do not recommend

Probably the best LA Fitness in Miami. Friendly group of club members. Perhaps management can do a better job at obtaining newer workout machines and remodel the building a bit. With the amount of members that go here, I know they have the budget.

Why do we pay an annual fee to maintain the gym if everything is always scheduled for service yet months go by and they don’t fix the machines. They need to do better!

I came to try this gym using their 3-day pass, which can only be activated through a scheduled appointment. I booked mine for 8:00 a.m. and arrived early at 7:50. When I checked in, the woman at the front desk told me to “wait” because my appointment hadn’t started yet. without offering any help or even a friendly welcome. She simply said the person who was supposed to attend me hadn’t arrived yet. I waited over 30 minutes, before someone finally showed up. I had expected a quick tour and activate the pass, as I wasn’t planning to work out that day. The delay was completely unnecessary and poorly handled.
When someone finally did assist me (not sure if it was the same person I was originally assigned to), she activated my pass and asked if I’d be training that day. I told her I no longer had time, but I might come back the next day.
The following morning, I returned to try it out. I was only able to train for about 40 minutes because the gym felt disorganized and crowded, even at 7 a.m. The layout makes the space feel tight despite it being large. The equipment wasn’t broken, but it was clearly outdated compared to what I’m used to. I currently have a membership at another gym (I wasn’t looking to switch immediately, just exploring better options). At this gym, everything felt old, less intuitive, and less accessible.
On top of that, there weren’t enough benches available — something I later saw mentioned in other reviews as well.
As if all that wasn’t enough, the following day I got a call from the manager or the same woman who helped me with the pass. I told her clearly and respectfully that the gym didn’t meet my expectations she kept insisting that I give her reasons, and when I did, she dismissed them and told me this was “the biggest fitness chain in the U.S.” (which is factually untrue), then accused me of just wanting a free day — which made no sense, since I only went once and I already had a membership on anther gym. Then she hung up on me.
The entire experience was uncomfortable, unprofessional, and completely discouraging. From the cold and careless reception to the outdated equipment and the rude follow-up call, this gym is not worth it. I was simply exploring options, and I’m glad I didn’t commit to anything here.

I am really annoyed with the staff at the LA Fitness on 8310 Bird Rd, Miami, FL 33155. Starting around 6 months ago they started announcing over the loud speaker an hour before closing time that the gym will be closing in 1 hour, 45 minutes, 30 minutes. 25 minutes, 20 minutes, 15 minutes. 10 minutes 5 minutes, 3 minutes and closing. It is extremely disrespectful to harrass your members and guests screaming at them every 5 minutes and kicking them out. I came in yesterday for a quick workout 50 minutes before closing and the front desk guy was telling me but we close in 50 minutes. This is disrespectful. Makes your members feel unwanted. Saying it once is sufficient. People come to the gym to relax and unwind and have mental peace, the behavior of your staff is not conducive towards that. This is bad for your brand also. I would urge you to find out whom the bad seeds are and uproot them. Tried sending email and reaching out to corporate

Someone from here called me to renew my membership. I explained to him that I’ve told them multiple times I’m not renewing and asked him to put it in my file that I’m NOT renewing and instead of confirming that, he hung up on me. After calling back to talk to someone about this, he hung up on me again. 8/14/2024 @ 8:19 am

Lots of classes
The pool usually is a good temp for swimming though a few times the seniors complain and the pool is then too hot to actually swim in.
