My regular hair stylist was unavailable so I made an appointment with Kaylee. She listened and understood exactly what I was looking for. I ended up with a great haircut and Kaylee is really sweet and kind.

Let me start with the good! Carlie’s is conveniently located, has nice appropriate decor and clean. Rachel, who was assigned as my stylist, is professional, friendly & polite. I was there for color & styling. I have curly hair. I tried to explain how I wanted my hair cut/styled but also asked Rachel for her suggestions. We briefly discussed & agreed on what was to be done. While the coloring part is satisfactory, unfortunately, this is probably one of the worst haircuts I have had! The style, I am still trying to fathom what it is! The cut is uneven, the front is a mess, the left side is fuller & longer than the right - truly don’t know if it was an effort to layer gone wrong! It’s just terrible! I did not say anything at the salon after even though I hated what I saw in the mirror - probably I should have but I was so disappointed that I may have said something & regretted later. I left a tip all the same because Rachel worked & as an employer myself, I understand. What makes this real bad is that I don’t even think it can be corrected as it’s quite short already and I may not be back at Carlie’s either as now I have lost trust & I was so excited at first to find this place - right in my neighborhood! Sad! Oh well - guess I will have to live with an awful hairstyle till it grows out.

I would like to start off with the positive, I love the haircut I got by Cole! I showed her a picture of some highlights while I was there and asked her if she was able to get my hair to look like the hair in the picture, and if so how much. She told me she could and it would cost $155. We discussed the fact that yes I dye my hair and use a professional line of Schwarzkopf dye to do so. I went back in the next week to get my highlights. That is where things went wrong. First off, I was told I had to come in early or reschedule for the following week. The following week was a no go as I wanted this done for a special occasion, so I left work early to be there early. I found out when I arrived that she was leaving town the next morning and that is why they had to move up my appointment. I should have left when I heard that but I loved my cut so much that I put my trust in her. After that it all went downhill. I heard excuses throughout the process. I understand that my haircolor may not lift as much as I would hope for but it did. I saw the gold color that the bleach lifted my hair to. Then toner was applied( I was told the toner would lighten it more and even out the color). Instead, it darkened the gold color(color I was hoping for), into a brown shade that was hardly noticeable. I also ended up with very thin scattered highlights instead of the bold highlights that I requested. I was told that sometimes you have to use a darker color toner to get rid of the brass color. I told her the brass color was much closer to the image I showed her I wanted. I was told that to get my hair to the desired color I would need to schedule sessions which I can't afford. I told her my 1st and 2nd visit that I haven't had my hair done in years because I can't afford it and my husband was letting me get this done for a birthday gift. When I told her I couldnt afford multiple visits she told me that when the toner washes out the color would be more like what i had asked for. Oh how I wish I would have been told all this when I initially asked how much it would cost to get my hair to look like the image. I never would have wanted the money because the result, as my dad put it, was underwhelming and not worth $155. Be careful who you choose to do your hair and who to trust. When I asked her my first visit I should've been told it would take multiple sessions. When I asked about it the 1st visit, I should've been told that she isn't experienced in chunky highlights. She told me if there wasn't enough highlights then she could add more(later she informed me that would be another visit and another hit to my pockets). I really tried to like my hair after she was done but no matter how hard I tried it just made me sick to my stomach to see what I ended up with for what I paid. My husbamd felt horrible because the gift he paid for made me cry. My sister-in-law asked me why I didn't make her fix it which I wish I could have but being as my hairdresser was leaving town the next day everything just seemed so rushed and I was tired of hearing excuses. Honestly l, I was worried the results would just get worse. Why book appointments for a day and time you obviously planned on working? I get wanting to leave early but not at the expense of your customer. I really liked her and trusted she could do what she told me. I took some advice from my sister-in-law who told me tips on getting the toner out of my hair using a clarifying shampoo and letting it sit on my hair. Now that I have gotten some of the toner out, I am starting to see the gold color I wanted, but I still don't and won't be able to have the chunky highlights that I asked for without paying someone to fix it. 😌 Does this look like chunky gold highlights?🥺

I made an appointment several days in advance for a simple French braid at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Beforehand, I got two phone calls and about five text messages reminding me of the appointment—so I made sure to be there early at 8:50.
The person at the front desk was sweet and said someone would be right with me. But no one ever came. I sat there waiting, and by 9:10, I walked out. No updates, no explanation—just left sitting there.
This was actually my second attempt at giving this place a chance, but once again, no luck. My time is just as valuable as theirs, and it’s disappointing to be treated like it isn’t. If a client no-showed, I’m sure they’d charge for the time—yet they thought nothing of wasting mine.
Not the cutting edge I was looking for.

My name is Yamile. I love my hairstylist at Carlie’s Salon, Her name is Mel. I heard about her amazing job through my coworker that also a client of the salon.
Mel changed my color from dark red to honey adding some highlights. She took her time, explaining the process to me step by step.
Carli’s Salon is a professional salon, clean and well organized, all the employees are nice. They even offer you beverages, I love my new look and I really appreciate and recommend Melissa to all my friends and family.

It had been 4 years since I last stepped foot in a hair salon. As a curly hair girl, I am very picky about who I let come near it with a pair of scissors! I dyed my hair 2 years ago and the ends were worn out and dry, my layers grown out, and I was so anxious stressing over what to put in my hair and how to make it look healthy. I impulse called to make an appointment and asked if they had someone who could do curly hair, and they scheduled me with Amelia. There I was, in the waiting area and shaking like a dang leaf from nerves, and Amelia came and instantly took all that anxiety away. She said we'd define and make my curls pop and she delivered! I've never been so happy with a stylist! I was worried about me having too much hair to work with, but Amelia was patient and excited about the way my hair would turn out the whole time! Definitely recommend this place and Amelia especially for anyone with curls! Everyone was so incredibly nice and, as someone with a lot of anxiety, they made me feel comfortable less than 2 seconds after walking into the salon area. I'm 110% coming back!
