Went to Petco on SW 40th in Ocala today to pickup some aquarium supplies. Buy local they say. Support local businesses right? You shouldn't order everything from Amazon. Well this store's cashier informed me that, beginning next week if I want a plastic bag for my purchases, it will be 10¢ each. Oh well, I guess it's back to Amazon.
Update: Received a response from Petco. They said it's an effort to preserve the planets' resources and sustainability. So, to do that they didn't stop using plastic bags, and use paper or reusable bags instead, they decided it's the perfect opportunity to make money by charging customers for plastic bags. Way to go! We'll save the planet by keeping plastic bags in use and charging 10¢ per bag. 🙄

It's pretty good overall. Friendly staff, who were eager to help.
Unfortunately, the crickets I needed have left our mortal coil. They were stocked on others, though.
I enjoyed seeing the different animals.
It would be nice if they offered boxes for carrying home feeder insects and such.

Ten cents for "bag fee"? Why would you want to create "ill will" with your customers over making eight cents on a bag worth two cents? I'm a Petssmart customer, trying Petco for the first time. I would have to think twice before coming back. Only because I think your mgt is so dumb.

It's Petco. Not very busy. Staff is very friendly. Nice aquarium display. A few expensive birds.

Obviously pet friendly. Staff is friendly and helpful. Some of everything for pets. Not cheap though.

Highly overpriced. The brand/flavor doggie ice cream I purchased at Petco was $12.99 whereas right down the street at Publix grocery store where i normally purchase it, the price is $5.99 . Employee took personal phone call when i was checking out & i had to wait for her to finish for her to complete ringing me up.

Yesterday, I visited the Petco store on SW College Road and purchased three items for a total of $36.00. My concern is that, despite my generosity in donating $2.00 to Petco, I was charged $0.10 for a bag and an additional $0.53 for Updonatn. Please be very careful when shopping in stores that do this to their customers! What is Updonatn? Had I known this, I wouldn't have left a $2.00 donation!

This is the second time I have taken my dog to Petco Ocala for grooming and they do not do a good job because it is too expensive and they groomed my dog very badly. I do not recommend it.

So I've been going to this petco location for nearly 2 years and recently I've had to reschedule my appointment for another day. I just received a txt message telling me that if I cancel again that they would not take me anymore. It seems that these people never have any life issues or changes that come up causing me to reschedule. It's not like I've never showed up for any appointments and not letting them know. So guess I will need to take my hard eran money to someone else. Very unprofessional.

Overpriced, now cheaper to have delivered from chewy or amazon or wal mart or your choice. Crappy customer service as well. I guess I paid for our education, you were told.
