The whole team is amazing! I just moved to Jax from ny (may ‘25) and had trouble finding a reputable staff that specializes in Lexus- Toyota products. From the customer service to the thorough inspection the team is there to make sure your car stays on the road . Big thanks to the Jeffs and Thomas . I had got the wrong brake parts for my Lexus and they called the shop I got them from and swapped them out for my safety! If that’s not good customer service then I don’t know what is! Will be back for my third service next month

Thomas and the guys do great work, they consistently do maintenance and mods to my 2012 Nissan gtr, I love this car more than a lot of things it was my dream car since I was a kid so it means a lot to trust it with guys who do really good and thorough job. Helped me diagnose it with a bunch of things and is a ton of help in general! Great service all around!

Thomas and his team did a great job fixing my older model Accord. The vehicle is my commuter and our second vehicle and has been neglected for a few years. It was in need of some TLC. I’m glad that I took the vehicle to Hoover Automotive & Performance! They were as thorough as any dealership service department that I have ever used! They did a thorough inspection of the vehicle and diagnosed the issues that I had reported and recommended a few other services. Thomas was very helpful! He explained his recommendations clearly and answered all of my questions. The repairs were completed quickly and correctly for a reasonable price. I definitely will be taking our vehicles to Thomas and his team for future repairs and maintenance!

I have taken both of my cars here a few times now and every times I am more and more impressed each time. This last time, I took my car in to get the brakes and rotors replaced. They priced the job cheaper than anyone else and in the process found a few more issues wrong with the car (which every repair shop does). The thing that stood out the most was that they sent me the list of things that were of concern but never once pressed me on getting those repairs fixed right then. As long as they continue to be this customer friendly I'll always bring my cars back to them.

The owner is a really nice guy! He was able to help me out by diagnosing a clunk on my 4Runner as well as a few other things I wouldn’t have noticed for a while. The inspection and diagnostic I got was very thorough and well worth the price I paid.

This shop is awesome. In the three months we have lived here, we have brought both of our daily drivers here, one for an A/C job and the other for a lot of pain-in-the-butt work. This shop did an excellent job on both, for competitive prices and in a realistic timeframe. They communicated very well with us at every stage and took the time to diagnose issues effectively, which i know would have been a pain with one of our vehicle's particular clusterf-, uh, "set," of problems. I have done a lot of auto work myself, and when speaking with them, i gave them several chances to try and lie to me, but they were completely honest and forthcoming with knowledge and realistic ideas of what we were looking at in terms of work, time and cost. I also glanced around their shop and saw that it was cleaner and more organized than most i have seen or worked in. Their techs also seemed to be in a good mood and had what they needed to get the job done without being stressed or rushed, which is hard to find in the auto repair industry. I was also impressed with the write-ups on our vehicles, which provided plenty of pictures and evidence for what work needed done and what could wait until a later date. It is obvious that this shop takes the time to do the job right and is honest, even when i know that one of our vehicles had to have been a pain to deal with. I will definitely be bringing my other vehicles here for things i cannot do myself. Also, one thing i really appreciated that they did to help me out personally, was that i had had some suspension trouble on one of the vehicles that i was worried about and would have to drive while the other vehicle would be there for a while, and they checked it out on the spot, fixed it and made sure it was safe for my wife and kids to be in and they very likely saved us from a really bad accident by doing that for us, as i had not had time to check it out myself and it turned out to be a dangerous issue. These guys are awesome, you should definitely take your car here. Excellent shop!

A BIG shout out to Hoover Performance! The owner Tom is awesome, an old school Toyota guy, a brother from another mother! My whole life I've been my own mechanic, doing all my own work - from engine builds to frame up builds, I've seen it all and done it all. Now for the first time in my life I've reached out for help, mainly because I don't have a lift in my garage and at 43 years old I'm tired of dropping transmissions in cramped spaces myself. I enlisted the help of Tom for a significant hydraulic change within the transmission bellhousing for the engagement of the clutch (CMAK). While we had some teething issues, this is expected until master cylinder throw, clutch pedal and the new external slave cylinder are adjusted. I appreciate him taking on this work, it really wasn't typical and knowing the obstacles he was still happy to do it and help. Literally no one else ever touches my car other than my guy for tire mounting and my guy for alignment, but now I've found a new home in case I ever need that added assist for significant work! Hoover/Tom is now my guy for any major mechanical assist!

First time at Hoover Automotive and I went there because of the amazing reviews -- they are very transparent about every step of the process and help direct you for services that they recommend. They also suggested postponing certain services that they personally would wait to do for their own vehicles, which helps us spread out the cost of vehicle maintenance -- and they have great rates for good reliable service. Very friendly and helpful even on the phone, and overall I intend to be a returning customer.

Installed leveling springs/shocks on my 2023 Ford F150 Lightning.. Quoted a time/price in advance.. Worked a little overtime to get it done when promised. Very friendly and knowledgable service.. Highly Recomend.

Hoover Automotive and Performance is good enough to be called a godsend to people like me who want to be sure their vehicles are expertly maintained without having to go to an expensive, sometimes not-quite-honest dealership. I had a heap of unattended major issues on an older truck that dealerships and other mechanics just couldn't get right. Some issues were outright ignored because the others didn't want to be bothered with difficult jobs involving less expensive parts. However, at Hoover, I got the full rundown and they were willing to tackle the jobs that other places didn't want. It's above and beyond - their work is thorough and professional. You can see they bend over backwards to make sure customers are happy. I am beyond happy and I am grateful they are here in the community. Keepers! 10 stars if I could.
