MAJOR WARNING!!!!! I had been going here for a few years and this used to be a great facility. I just picked my dog up a day early and showed up unexpected and there was no one at the facility at 12:15 in the afternoon on a Sunday when they are supposed to be open, I called and the owners cell phone was disconnected and the main line so in a panic I messaged Dina on Instagram. She showed up 15 minutes later. Dina got out of her car and took me around the side entrance instead of the front door and was acting very erratic and nervous. She sat me in a back room while she supposedly went to go get my dog, but instead went out to her car and came back in with a big box. I believe my dog was in that box. A few moments later, I walked to the front lobby and told her that I really needed to leave and if she could please go get my dog so I could go. She said “oh yeah, of course I don’t know why she wasn’t in her room but she’s over here.” And then proceeds to take me to the large play area where my dog was by herself and extremely nervous. When she saw Dina her body was close to the floor and her ears were back. This is not normal behavior for my pup as she is very hyper and loves to see people I knew immediately something was wrong. I asked her what’s wrong with her and right away she said “I didn’t do anything to her.” That in itself tells me, she knew exactly what was wrong with her. She proceeded to argue with me, telling me that she can show me cameras, and my only concern was getting my dog out of there and to a vet. My dog was lethargic and wobbly and very scared of her. I asked her to please go get her stuff and she just kept arguing with me about not doing anything to her. I ended up picking up my dog and just leaving without her stuff. Additionally, she charged my card for both of my dogs when only one was there and charged for a stay back from March that she had already charged me for and for a month of daycare that I did not request. Over $1,200. When I told her that she needed to refund me those payments, or I was going to dispute the card charges, she told me to dispute everything then as soon as I left the facility, I get an email that she charged me almost another $500. I don’t even care about the money but you know that you did something to my dog Dina and I will find out what it was. I have been nothing but nice to you try to help you think of ways to get your business back on the ground but your very evident substance problem will never allow that to happen. Also if your dog was also there today, September 10, 2023 and you were on your way to pick them up at 1 PM just so you know she called her daughter while I was there and said “where are you? The parents are going to be here at 1 PM.” so they very well may have had your dog outside of the facility as well.

Yeah so the owner is quite visibly on something that rhymes with smack. Save your money and go somewhere else. Not a safe environment for dogs or people.

So my my sister and I planned a Dog birthday party here and she booked directly with the owner weeks in advance. Was promised a great party package with decorations and doggie frozen yogurt etc and more. First problem was we arrived as scheduled 1 hour before the party was to begin to help put up decorations. (We brought some of our own to supplement what was part of the package) and no one was there and the building was locked. It was 1pm on a Saturday. There were dogs barking from inside the building but lights were off and no one was there. I presume they were dogs being boarded there. I was already wondering why no one was there with the dogs. The owner arrived around 1:20 and let us in to decorate and then disappeared. We decorated and brought in all the food and drinks we brought and set up. We didn't see her again until after the party had started. No decorations were ever provided. There was a small fenced-in area outside the main people room for the dogs and for the first hour and a half we didn't have access to either of the dog fun areas. Finally we tracked her down in another part of the building and asked when we could get the dogs into the play areas. She did unlock them eventually but not until the party was more than half over. In addition she never turned the A.C. on in the main room. It was incredibly hot. We did have a fan going but still, very hot. We brought all of our own paper plates silverware, cups , everything. We also cleaned up everything when we left. To be honest though the place was pretty dirty when we arrived. No bags in the dirty trash barrels, cockroaches in the bathroom. When my sister was trying to ask her about getting the dog fun areas opened for our guests, the owner seemed a bit defensive for some reason telling her about all sorts of problems she was having as a small business owner. Kind of like she wanted my sister to tell her, "it's ok if you don't provide any of the stuff you promised...I will still happily pay full price" Needless to say, we had some pretty awkward conversations that day. Also, when my sister tried to talk to her about the final payment, the owner said that we ripped her outside furniture cover and stole glassware. We actually never even used her glassware, we brought our own party cups. I also have pictures of the furniture in question from the beginning and end of the party and there is no difference. In the end my sister calculated what was provided and what was not and sent her what she felt was fair and it was accepted. Just a really bad experience with this business. The party was still fun but dealing with this business was a nightmare.

WORST SERVICE EVER! I don’t give zero star because the system don’t allow me to give a review without a start. The receptionist talk very unprofessional. I only was calling to know what is the price per day for boarding a dog.But after that service, forget about it. If they talk to me in that way I don’t even want to think how they talk and treat the dog.Very disappointed…

Super luxurious room! No kennels and they have dog movies playing for the dogs all the time in their suites! Play is included with pricing and the area is so spacious!! Love it here!!

Terrible Service. Lack of communication. They will charge you for services that you did not request. Do not leave your dog here.UPDATE: The owner's reply is a poor excuse. I was already told that "new management" arrived before my visit. Was there another change in management in less than 2 months?

NO SHOW!!! BE WARNED!!! If I could I would give NO STARS.Our dog stayed 2 nights a year ago while we travelled through Orlando so we made a reservation again this year. We received text and email confirmation on the Friday before and when we showed up on Monday, there was no one there. No one answered the phone. No cars. No dogs. I don't typically post reviews and especially not bad ones, but this put us in a very bad situation travelling through Florida with no place to board our dog. Based on this experience I would NEVER use them again nor would I recommend them.

I have a dog that is very fearful and has a rough past, so finding people to board him with is a struggle. Dina not only accepted but understood his special needs and was willing to work with him for a safe and pleasant boarding for everyone involved. She was a godsend for me and Garrus!!

Beautiful place. The owner Dina needs help. I wouldn’t trust her with my dog. I can’t trust someone who is the owner, she seems unhinged. I’m sorry, but get some help. These are peoples loved animals staying here. My interaction with the owner seems like she has other issues going on. She seems very off and I don’t trust my pets there.

Flew into Orlando and needed a kennel for our dog. Went to Ruff Day…don’t waste your time. The owner, I believe her name is Dina, was flippant, despondent and acted like she just didn’t care about our dog at all. Do not recommend.

As someone who has worked here for a period of time (it did not last long), I can say that the employees (there are only two besides the owner), are not trained and do NOT take things seriously. As someone who has worked in animal care for 5+ years, your animals are not safe here.1) The dogs are allowed to walk wherever they please... aka free walking. Although this may seem like a good thing, it can cause problems with other dogs that are not in the same social group and have not met each other before, potentially starting a dog fight. This happens in hallways when bringing dogs back into their rooms or bringing them outside.2) The dogs are given "time out" portions... if a dog is misbehaving they are placed in a kennel that is in an outside area without AC. As someone who has gone to school to study animal behavior, this does not do any positive impact on the correction of the behavior. Not to mention, these temperament tests (which are not done anyways) are a joke. There is not any documentation of behavior at all during their stay. I have personally seen a dog that has a history of aggression be placed in a play yard with other dogs, and be placed in "time out". Update, the aggressive behavior kept occurring and ultimately the dog was placed back in their room after only being outside for maybe 10 mins. (Even though the owners are probably paying for more time outside.)3) Lastly, and probably one of my biggest issues, the receptionist will literally delete your messages. Not listen to them or call you back... delete them. I have watched this individual listen to maybe 5 seconds of a recording and delete the message even if it was about a serious concern from an owner. There are zero excuses for this behavior. After confronting the owner about the concerns I had, I was told that everything was to be blamed for the system being hacked... when in reality it is about not hiring proper employees to take care of your business. It is also important to note that the system being hacked included cameras, payment options etc. None of employees had access to anything. So if you want to board your dog anywhere near the MCO or Lake Nona area I would recommend BarkNona.

I have been bringing my morkie poo dogs here for about year with grooming. Most affordable pricing in Lake Nona, includes the basics unlike other places that charge more for nails, basic trims or anything else. My dogs never get matted after doing monthly or bi monthly services (I think they have a secret conditioner lol). My dogs smell good for a very long time VS other places who charge more. Thank you Ruff Day for your excellent services, Kobe and Chanel love coming here!

I used to love this place. The facility was nice and well maintained. The trainers seemed fun. They used to post pictures on Instagram so I could see my pup having fun and being treated well. The cameras used to work so I could check in on my dog during the day if I wanted. I used to be able to get grooming services here. But the last several months have seen a serious decline in quality. No one ever answers the phone and you can’t leave a message because the mailbox is full. The trainers are a joke. Recently a new employee has been completely useless. He makes weird jokes, made me go to the back to get my dog instead of bringing her out to me (which smelled and looked so dirty), and has told me repeatedly he has no training on “the system” which brings me to my next point.I was charged a monthly package. Not unexpected since I bring my dog once a week. But I needed that stopped since I am keeping my dog home over the holidays and for the time being. No one has been able to cancel it. No one has responded to refund it. I have called, texted, emailed, gone to the location, even messaged the owner on Instagram. Nothing. So I’ve had my bank dispute the charge and I guess I’m going to have to report my debit card lost/stolen so I cannot continue to be charged. But wait there’s more! Not only was I charged the regular monthly package, I was charged the daily rate for daycare on top of that for two weeks. The same employee I mentioned above said he did cancel those charges so not sure why he can’t help me refund this package. Again, he’s “not trained” which is really concerning. I’m not mad at him necessarily, but why is someone with no training the ONLY person available to help?I am sad because I really used to love bringing my dog here, but it no longer seems like a safe place. If I can’t call to speak to someone during business hours that is a problem. If the staff has no training and a manager cannot be reached to resolve a simple issue that is a problem. Ruff Day is a lot pricier than other dog daycare/boarding and is absolutely not worth it. Anymore.

Although the facility does seem nice, unfortunately the lack of respect and hospitality I received from the owner changes my mind about leaving my animals in her care. If you can speak to a person the way she spoke to me than I have no faith you will treat my animals with respect. I will not be recommending this company to anyone, hopefully she goes to a class or 2 to learn some manners so she doesn’t further lose clients over her attitude

Great service! Called early in morning about a last second boarding. They called back within the hour and let us bring our pup last minute for the night, on Thanksgiving. For sure recommend!
