Can I give zero stars? Prepaid for my rental, flight was on time, but there was NOBODY at the desk. About 50 people waited for an hour, nobody came out to update us. Nobody answered the phone. Spent an absurd amount for UBer because that was our only option after being screwed by Dollar Rental. Should report them to the BBB for taking money without having anyone on staff to provide service

Horrible experience. We pre-paid for a 7 passsenger SUV and when we arrived at the airport, they said we had to have a credit card. Not once did they indicate during the reservation that debit cards would not be honored upon pick-up. We do not use credit cards and therefore were stuck in the airport with no transportation for the Disney trip we planned. Abdel Ramy, the Customer Service Agent that was supposed assisted us was rude, dismissive and called security on us when we asked to see a manager. After refusing to leave without seeing a manager, Jose, the manager, finally assisted us, but only after he "strongly encouraged" us to pay a $15.99/ day liability insurance fee in addition to our rental. He finally assisted us, but WOULD NOT because of their poor customer service. We unnecessarily wasted 2 hours of our family Disney Trip trying to get a car. Ugggghhh!

Would not recommend at all the person makes you feel stupid for asking a question and she would just highlight stuff on a paper and not even answer the question and say “see, what don’t you understand “ did not speak very well English and all of her coworkers where wearing mask, but I guess this princess thinks she doesn’t have to. She wasn’t very friendly, not very helpful. Would not recommend this to anyone.

We rented a car for 5 days from Dollar on a pre-paid points basis. When picking up the car, the agent never asked about insurance, per the typical check in. He did ask about using tolls around Orlando. I answered there are highway tolls we would deal with. He had me sign the paper for the rental agreement and told us where to go to pick up the car. After returning the car, I found the agreement had the Loss Damage Waiver ($135) and the Liability Supplement ($63) and Toll fees ($44). PLUS taxes & fees coming to an additional $326 on top of the $240 prepaid rental. The AGENT RIPPED ME OFF! He never mentioned adding the optional insurance or toll fee. Just a smile and "Here's your rental agreement" We were, of course stressing about the travel and did not read the rental agreement. I am used to being told about any charges before agreeing to them. Dollar customer service was not at all helpful. They stuck to the point that it was a signed agreement. They promised me a call back from a supervisor. That didn't happen. DOLLAR /THRIFY is a RIP OFF!

Absolutely the worst company I have EVER dealt with. I am not one of these negative reviewers. On the contrary, I am fairly conservative and relatively easy to please. HOWEVER: Dollar rent-a-car have the rudest and most patronising staff I have EVER come accross anywhere - world-wide (and I am very patient and very well travelled). Firstly, our paid-for upgrade to a better car actually ended up with a downgrade to an old, lesser-car in poor condition (we worried that they might blame/charge us for the pre-existing dents, scuffs & scrapes, as there was no pre-existing condition appraisal - very unprofessional!). When we refused to be ripped-off with the $25-a-week sunpass toll pre-pay, the change of attitude in the counter representative went from poor to outright rude and patronising. The lies which were spouted at us in order to be conned into silly commission-led upgrades were laughable. We were taken for fools and treated like fools. We will not stand for this - a formal complaint has been made, although this will probably be contested/argued. We won't rest until we've had a proper apology from Dollar and a fair & proportionate refund to reflect the lies, rudeness, downgrade & apallingly bad vehicle presentation. We are just waiting for them to rip-off our credit card as the final insult, as we gather than Dollar are known to do this...if they dare to try it on with us any more, we shall just initiate a 'stop' via our credit card company. Please listen to our experience/review and use a more reputable company for your own good. These people are called "Dollar" for a reason...they are only interested in dollars...not people, not service, not honesty, not integrity - they just want your money, whether obtained honestly or by blatant disception & lies. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - PAY A LITTLE MORE, GET A BETTER CAR AND BE TREATED WITH RESPECT WITHOUT BEING CONSTANTLY UP-SOLD A LOAD OF NONSENSE YOU DO NOT NEED!!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. First of all, our flight was delayed for a few hours so we didn't arrive to Orlando until a few hours later than expected. I prepaid for my vehicle about 4 days ago. We waited in line only to have the worst encounter with a female associate. She didnt say hi how are you or please come to the counter. From across the counter she asks me if I made a reservation I said yes and she said how long ago I said a few days ago she says well we are sold out come back at 7am. This was at about 3am. I have my whole family waiting with their bags and all we wanted was to finally make it to our hotel. She had zero compassion and I told her ok I'm not trying to argue I'm just wondering what the point of making a reservation when the cars get sold anyway? She said I don't know. I said ok I just want to make sure I get refunded so may I ask your name so I can have proof that you told me there's no more cars. She immediately said no I will not give you a name. I said why? I just want to let them know who told me there's no cars so I can ask for a refund. She got upset at me so I said ok nevermind and walked away. I could hear her telling her coworkers what happened as if I was the one being rude to her. Not once did I say anything rude or raise my voice. All I wanted was some customer service. In the end they didn't have cars... ok deliver the message in a way where you are no making it seem like it's the customers fault. If this is the type of people that work for Dollar then believe me I will never rent from them again and I will definitely tell everyone I know to avoid this business. Please learn from this horrible customer experience and hire better associates to represent you.

We waited in line for 2 hours We had a reservation and prepaid through Expedia for 12 passenger van. When we finally reached the counter, they sent us to go "pick a car" and of course there were no 12 passenger vans. The representative went and spoke with a manager and then instructed us to pick out two vehicles and we would be charged the same as the van we had prepaid. We were also informed to bring back the vehicles empty for the troubles. After returning the vehicles and getting home, we not only had prepaid expedia, but they charged our credit card again for one vehicle and then sent a bill for the 2nd vehicle. When calling customer service they could not help and refused to advance the call to a supervisor. They said we had to sent an email message through the website. Sent a message through the website and have received no response from anyone. This is the worst customer service I've seen.

I gave it a one because zero is not an option. I was charged tolls for a car and did not rent a car from these people. Shameful!!!

DO NOT RENT HERE! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience! Look at this line JUST to pick up a freakin car. Mind you, I did a reservation FOUR MONTHS AGO! Never the hell again! Waited in this line for THREE and a half hours with 3 small children and an infant! WORSE company ever! I have rented cars dozens of times and I have never in my life ever had such a terrible experience with a car rental company! Not to mention…. Their customer services SUCKS!

They gave me a car with a tire that was so bald you can see string poking through the tires. Also way over charged me even when I pre paid months in advance. Scams and can’t wait to make a scene there tomorrow

Worse rental experience of my life. Priceline booked for me, even though counter has been shut down for months. No representative or cars on site. Neither Priceline nor Dollar would stand behind the rental that I had pre-paid and booked 2 months prior. Could not even get a refund from Priceline because they said they could not get a confirmation from Dollar that I had not picked up a car. In the end we had to take an Uber to our destination over 2 hours away at our own expense. Had to contest the charge with my credit card company to even get a refund.

This place is a joke The lady at the front desk straight up lied to my face. When I rented my car few weeks before I paint less that $300 then when I went to pick up my car they said it's required by or to have the insurance which I have never done before. The last said "sir I cannot give you this rental car unless you buy the insurance" so I had to buy it. When I got to my rental Hose my dad who had Priceline said " they didn't make me get insurance" when i found this out I tried calling them and OMG that's even worse ppl answer and just say go back and talk to the manager we can't do anything Over the phone. Really they want me just go back to the airport and complain, don't think they have complaints parking at the airport. So long story short I got screwed out of another $100 on my trip.

Nobody was working and hasn’t been working for the past 3 days. Unable to get a rental and had to pay 3 times the price. If you aren’t going to be working, it’s not hard to find a replacement. So many unaware customers because nobody could contact us. Poor quality and no options to contact anyone to get reimbursed or compensated for lack of service and time lost
