Under no circumstances should you use this company. . Every single reservation was messed up making for painstakingly long lines .our reservation was prepaid ahead of time. My husband’s credit cards chip would not read. Though it was prepaid we were s.o.o.l. . We had to call customer service ourselves, which meant getting out of line . To rebook under my credit card at a higher price. . The woman who helped us was of no help at all. Was rude & had a bad attitude. Was completely unsympathetic to our situation. . Don’t start you trip out this way. This is Orlando airport location.

I flew into Memphis for Memorial Day weekend and when I got to the Dollar car rental counter, I was told that I would have to wait THREE hours for my prepaid car rental. I was told that the cars were available, but they were short on staff for cleaning them. The people before me got the same information. I could not believe that on one of the busiest weekends of the year, this company did not make sure they had enough help! The counter was a small glass box in the parking garage with two employees, but one was in training and could not help. I asked if I upgraded could I rent one of the few Premium cars and was told that they did not have the keys for those. There was no place to sit except concrete bollards or the concrete garage floor. The woman I talked to said that I could go to the first floor where there was A/C, and that she would call me when my car was ready, and that she WOULD call more than once. After an hour, I took a chance and went to the AVIS counter. They had cars, and I was on the road to my destination within 10 MINUTES. When I got to my destination, I saw that I had gotten a call from Dollar, and the time was OVER three hours…and they only called ONCE. Please DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM DOLLAR!

I got accused of being drunk because I have never used a keyless car before and asked how to use the fob. I had one drink in Pittsburgh 5 hours before landing in Orlando. Sorry I'm old and have a car with a key still. Thanks for humiliating me.

This line is insane to get to an agent. Two lines open and over an hour wait to get a car. Agents would see 1-2 customers and then take a break. Incredibly disappointed in this customer service. Worse rental car franchise of all times.

The address on Google is wrong!The return desk is in the Crowne Plaza hotel. Talk to the valet and he’ll open the gate for you to return the car.The gentleman behind the desk was very nice and didn’t deserve me being so upset towards him. However it was an absolute NIGHTMARE trying to return the car this morning. No signage anywhere.The parking lot was a mess. Uhaul truck blocking a driveway. Oh it was so frustrating.

Worst place to rent. Just be careful…they overbook rentals and I had to learn the hard way. Yes, I selected 10:30am as my pick up even though technically I wouldn’t be arriving in Orlando until 1pm. But I’ve done this plenty of times in the past and never had any issues. Got there and they basically ran out of cars and said didn’t know when they would or if they could even get more cars. You’re better off renting at the airport if you’re already arriving there.

I wish I could give the sales representative no stars. She aggressively sold me extras that I declined online. She "matter of factly," asked me if wanted one service or the other: I agreed to one because it seemed as though I had no to choose one. When asked the price for the service, she quoted the price in a manner that suggested the price covered the duration of the rental. When she finally gave me the overall price, I asked her twice why it was so high. I explained I paid for the rental in a packaged deal. She told me the fee was taxes that had to be paid at the time of the rental. It was 11 pm, I have a 5-year-old and I was ready to go to my hotel. At the hotel, I immediately went to the invoice and saw the charges she upsold in an unethical manner. People/organizations have no integrity in these times. I will be calling customer service first thing.

I found the process easy and everyone was very nice. The rental car desk is inside a hotel that is lovely- I took a lyft from MCO to the hotel - the hours are 10-4, but to return the car they have a Dropbox for keys if you need to return after hours..

The line took hours to get through and then they announced they had to stop processing people bc they didn’t have enough cars cleaned. They said it could be another 1-3 hours.

This is for their toll policy, not the location. IdI the toll pass because it was $30. I was only going through one toll. They ended up charging me $66 for a $2 toll. So you either have to pay $30 for the toll pass when your only using $2 worth. OR if you decline the toll pass you end up paying $66 for your $2 toll. Unbelievable! Let me just pay for the toll that I used!

We rent a car online, when we arrive from the flight to pick up the car they tell us that they no have more cars and then they said that we have to wait 6 hours or come back by car the next day.

I booked my car rental through dollar on March 3, 2021. We flew in today 3/20/21 right before 9 AM from Colorado Springs to Orlando. As we were figuring out where we needed to go for our car rental, we received a text message stating:This is dollar thrifty reaching out in regards to your reservation today. We are completely sold out for the rest of the week and I will not be able to fulfill your reservation. I am so sorry for the inconvenience.If you did pay with a second party you can just reach out to them for a full refund.I couldn’t believe they would do this the day of my arrival! They times it just right when I got off of my flight.We went up to the counter at the airport and they stated that we would have to pay $1000 to get another car rental. I paid $286.20 when I originally booked through Priceline.We called dollar rental car company numerous times and could not get through to anyone. We spoke to a customer service that was not at the location and all she did was apologize and try to get me to the main location but no one would ever pick up. We were stranded at the airport for three hours trying to figure out what to do. We ended up having to spend money to Uber to our hotel and will have to spend money tomorrow to Uber to get our car rental. They did not have anything available today so we had to book for tomorrow through the 24th with a different company Easirent I highly recommend. This is unacceptable on their side. This is a scam to get people to pay more money on the day they fly in. They can not do this to people it ruined my whole first day of plans being here to spend time with my family. We ended up getting a car rental for tomorrow through Easirent. Thanks for wasting my vacation time and money!
