I have to give this a 2, because for $500 a night I'd expect FAR superior. We booked in August to surprise our son for his 10th birthday, for one night, and got placed in a room that looks nothing like what the Hard Rock champions online. Also, my son was terrified of a mirror that STILL makes zero sense to the decor. I also ordered balloons from the concierge and they're the wrong colors. It's just so disappointing because I fully prepared myself to love this hotel and dream of returning, but we will return to the Royal Pacific that treated us like celebrities and didn't feel like a Days Inn.Someone needs to explain the thoughts behind this mirror though because this is absurd.

Rooms are past their prime, but the layout/size and amenities are great. Staff service made up for the older room, everyone we interacted with was so friendly and accommodating. They have a text concierge service that is manned by humans 24/7 and was very helpful. The proximity to Universal was an obvious plus.

Great stay! Having only previously stayed at the Royal Pacific on our previous trips - my entire family LOVED our stay at the Hard Rock (and my kids are saying that they only want to stay here on future trips ?). The staff was amazing - from the front desk to the bartender at the pool. Could the rooms use a refresh? Yes, a little. However - our room was super clean and well maintained. The halls were clean as well. Please don’t let reviews saying that the rooms are old/need to be refurbished deter you from staying here. I was expecting it to feel a little run down after reading some reviews - that was totally not our experience at all. Even the caulk and grout in the shower was clean and looked brand new! I didn’t hear any of our neighbors through the walls, either. The pool was beautiful and clean. The walk to the parks - unbeatable. The overall vibes - perfection. My only wish would be for more plugs in the room (with 5 of us - it was a little rough trying to figure out who was charging what). I know the rooms are scheduled to be refurbed sometime in the near future - fingers crossed more plugs / usb ports are added. We can’t wait to be back here! Be sure to plan a day or two of downtime at the resort - you won’t regret it!

The Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Orlando is top notch! From the moment you arrive on property, the hotel staff is fantastic, from valet drivers to grounds maintenance to front desk, they are are all superstars! Every inch of the Hard Rock was clean and neat. We.would definitely stay here again and recommend the Hard Rock to others!Rooms: The room was beautiful. Well decorated, very clean, and well stocked with towels and toiletries.Noteworthy details: Every staff member was incredibly nice and helpful. DeAndre at check in was a superstar!

After waiting 40 min. the drinks arrived. The food never arrived and when we asked they just said "sorry the kitchen is full". I don't give 0 stars because the app does not have the option.

This hotel is conveniently situated on the doorstep of Universal parks, our main reason to stay here. We walked from the hotel to the parks the first time, after that we only used the water taxi, which provides a comfortable, fast and picturesque journey, shaves of 16 minutes of walking for tired feet and has a quick private security screening. We were happy with the spacious size of our room and bathroom, the coffee machine counter and dresser space. The beds were incredibly comfortable, there were plenty of pillows. Would have appreciated more USB plugs, among the 4 of us, we had lots of equipment to charge. The pool area was disappointing, expected more from a 4 star hotel. Very basic hot tub with limited jets, shallow pool and 1 boring slide. Appreciated lifeguards on duty. We have already booked a club level for January, will update review then.

We had a wonderful experience at the Hard Rock Orlando hotel. It was so close to the Universal parks and the boat ride to get there was really convenient, fast, and relaxing. Our room was great and had everything we needed. We used room service 3 times during our stay and felt the prices were fair for the excellent service and convenience we receivedRooms: Clean, updated, had a mini fridge, coffee maker, shampoo, conditioner, body washWalkability: Easy navigation, lots of visuals, entertaining

This was our first visit here so maybe our expectations weren't set correctly. When we arrived for the Whose Live Anyway show we were told we had to down the stairs turn left and you'll see the end of line. It took us longer to walk to the end of the line than we spent actually in the line. The seats reminded me of a 1990's multi level marketing presentation at the local Marriott. All that being said, the show was perfect, the sound and lighting were spot-on. We'll be back for one of their "Classic Album" shows, but we now have our expectations set.

Hey there and welcome to my number one fav resort at Universal Orlando. Every year we do a little Halloween Horror Nights Spooky Staycation with friends and have tried all of the Premiere Resorts and can without a doubt say that Hard Rock Hotel is easily our favorite and will be our go-to moving forward. Checking in for a Thurs-Mon visit was a breeze and being locals we got there early. Bell services were incredible friendly and personable when collecting, holding, and delivering our luggage. Every single team member we interacted with was a joy. We opted for a club level room, which they refer to as Rock Royalty and damn if it didn't deliver on every level. From the location of our room, to the food, snack, and beverage options, to every team member we saw during our stay, every bit was firing on all cylinders. From the breakfast spread, to lunch and light snacks, evening sweets, and the free happy hour we never wanted for anything and it was a blessing for all of the long days, late nights, and early mornings that took place doing four nights in a row of HHN. Shout-Out to the Hard Rock Crew! The room was super spacious, the beds incredibly comfortable, and everything well appointed. There were four of us in the room and never once did it feel over crowded or like we were on top of one another. The mirror offered a fun size chart to see how you measured up to some of your fav music celebs. Towels and robes were fluffy, room was clean, and housekeeping and turn down services were top of the line. We also had many a chill rest n recover afternoon poolside and the resort was perfection on this as well. Sandy beach, plenty of lounge chairs, amazing pool side music, both on a loop as well as live DJ's, the vibes were spot on for what we were needing. We also really loved The Kitchen's Sunday Acoustic Brunch Buffet. Lastly let us talk location, because Hard Rock Hotel is the closest you can stay to the action that is the Universal Orlando Resort. We opted to take the garden path over to City Walk and the parks but they also offer a water taxi if that is more your vibe. Whichever you pick you are minutes away from the fun, thrills, and screams that the Universal Orlando Resort has to offer.Start to finish the Hard Rock Hotel delivered for us. We are already counting down the days to our HHN 2024 Spooky Weekend and without a doubt, the Hard Rock Hotel will be where we stay from here on when it comes to our Spooky Staycations. Rock On!

We had a wonderful stay at the Hard Rock Orlando. It is walking distance to City Walk and Universal Studios and there is also a water taxi to take you to the parks. The location was perfect. Our room was large and well-equipped. We had a rock star suite with a bedroom for the kids with twin beds and stars on the ceiling -- they loved it! The restaurants were great as well and we really enjoyed the pool area and water slide. Very comfortable stay, highly recommend!Rooms: Rock star suite is perfect for kids!Walkability: About a 5-10 minute walk from the parks. Can't beat the location.Food & drinks: The Kitchen restaurant has great food.

First time staying here and it was amazing. The distance to the parks is unmatched and they have a free water taxi if needed. The resort literally has everything you need from food to drinks to swim stuff. The food is pricey so if you want snacks and complimentary breakfast do the rock royal level. It was totally worth it to get free cookies, chips, appetizers and dinner if you don't want to spend a lot on food.I traveled with my husband, 1 yr old and 5 yr old and we had a blast!Walkability: 5 minute walk to Universal studios and islands of adventure if you choose not to take the water taxi.

We stayed in the Garden View rooms - they were average hotel rooms. We loved the close proximity to Universal Parks and City Walk - only used the water taxi if it was docked when we were ready to leave. The walk was short and safe. The hotel is loud - lots of families are in the halls late into the night, and music is playing loudly in the lobby (which goes with the theme). The large pool area has plenty of room for anyone wishing to relax. Every staff member we interacted with had a smile and a great attitude.Nearby activities: The value of the Express Unlimited passes was well worth the stay. Early access did not seem to give any advantage because only 1/2 of Islands of Adventure was open.

Everything was very nice. Took off one star on room rating because our mini fridge for storing drinks barely worked so our drinks we brought were warm and couldn't really store our leftover voodoo doughnuts. I probably could have complained and got them to fix/replace but didn't want to be bothered as it would have taken away time from our almost constant adventuring through the park and city walk. I'd stay there again though. Great location, it was an easy walk to the parks or take the ferry and go straight into city walk.

Good place to stay near Universal.Garden room view had no view of a garden. Rooms were clean but overall value was low for the money. Had a better experience at Royal Pacific. The Kitchen, the food was excellent at breakfast. The prices strongly encourage you to get buffet since coffee is $5 and every meal.will get you to the same price. Eggs Benedict was amazing and I'd say the best I have had. They had an awesome party Friday night so if you plan to stay here to attend an event I think you would get more out if staying here.Walkability: Ose to the park

This was my second trip staying here and not much has changed.Water taxis are a bonus, as is the express pass room keys. The walkway is nice too, but could be better lit at night. But the bathrooms are still ridiculously tiny, like the door almost grazes the toilet when you shut it. And there's no vent fan in the bathroom or a light above the shower, so it can be a little dark. Also, the pillows are all flat. And when did they stop putting clocks in the rooms? Not that I need an alarm clock, but being able to see the time while I'm getting ready would be nice.
