Taco Bell is a Tex-Mex fast food chain that most people get the craving for late at night. Good thing it's open late to serve up tasty Tex-Mex fast. While most people know about Taco Bell, few really know how it came to be.
We can thank Glen Bell, the founder of Taco Bell. With a long history of restaurant experience under his belt, he opened the first Taco Bell in 1962 in California. His inspiration was a Mexican restaurant that was across the street from his hamburger and hotdog restaurant in the 1950s. After tasting Mexican food, he became a fan and a die-hard enthusiast of putting tacos in the hands of all Americans.
