I absolutely love West Elm don’t get me wrong, I’ve had furniture from there since 2012 still holding just as strong as the day I bought it. I visited this location the other day as I’m shopping for new furniture (desk, bookshelf, file cabinet, and office chair) for my new apartment and while I understand the COVID situation and the precautions they as an organization are taking, it’s tough to have a “touchless shopping experience” as they’re putting it. I had to have an employee open and close cabinets for me just to look inside, again, I understand, but it’s a bit much and I feel like I’m inconveniencing the employees at that point.Make the 1:1 appointment service available again and maybe this is something I could get behind.

They have nothing in stock. Placed a order week later they advised item was on back order, 9 weeks later west elm Claimed they refunded, but no refund was received. Charged back with Amex.

I placed an order online for delivery and got the email receipt with confirmation of purchase and delivery date (order # 301532811504). The date arrived And no package. I go to the email to track the order and it says cancelled. I never received any cancellation email or phone call. I then called the corporate number twice and left two voicemails for them to call me back and have not heard anything. Poor customer service goes a long way in losing busines.

Drove an hour to get there, to find a closed store. (Appointment only), none of this posted on their website. Also nobody answered the phone. I picked out 2 pieces of furniture, I found online. Now I m going to order elsewhere

I made an appointment because of the pandemic and Jennifer (if I am not mistaken) welcomed us to the store, but everytime I asked the price of something she would say: “ that would be a little more expensive”; “ this would be more money” ; “ we always have sales on the store”; “ be careful with this candle, it is very expensive”. I only asked the price, I didn’t ask her opinion. I felt she was very judgmental and I am not going back to the store.

the service is pretty subpar for the prices you pay. West Elm has horrible policies regarding shipping, payments, and you can read other's horror stories. If they've got an item in-stock, great. Otherwise, buyer beware. No buying to this company.

I love West Elm as a furniture and decor store! How disappointing to go to their location by Mall of Millenia. It took me 1 hour to drive there from where I live. Upon entering I saw 5-6 employees behind the main counter. They looked up and a few of them made eye contact but not one said hello, nobody asked if they could help me, not one word. I was surprised to say the least. As I browsed around the store I saw a short bald headed gentleman who was talking with a taller lean African American man and both were working on a display. They were 3-4 feet from me for a couple minutes and neither even said hello? It happened again as I was by a round table toward the back of the store. Their was an older woman with longer grey/dark hair who was looking up something on a computer. She looked up at me and never said a word. I stayed in the store just a few minutes shy of 1 hour. I made 3 full rounds around the store. Never once did any employee communicate with me in any way. My intention was to buy 6 dining chairs, a mirror and a bench along with some decor items. I changed my mind after that experience. It was clear they wanted me to self serve and not interact or engage me. I wonder if the store manager was part of the 7-8 people who were working that day? Not one person encouraged any employees to engage any of the 6-8 customers I saw in that hour and I didn't see one sale at the registers the whole hour I was there. Nobody was on the floor restocking. All employees talking to each other or looking at a computer or working in a display BUT not one caring about the customers in front of them. I'll take my business somewhere that I'm not invisible. I hope you take this review in the spirit it is given. I'm totally surprised at the lack of customer service. You should be too. I don't believe this is a one time thing. There were too many employees ignoring customers for way too long and nobody was busy.

I really like this store and have few west elm pieces. I like it but don't love it. I feel like if you want great home accessories and a nice place to look and feel them, this is your ticket. Homeware items are good quality. I really don't care for their furniture. Let me correct that, I like the way it looks but and would look great in a photo but it's really not super high quality or made for older people. Great for folks starting out or in a guest or 2nd home but it's sort of expensive it's mid century and hard to get in an out of. You fall into the couches and have a hard time getting out, same with their chairs. I love all of their tables, from dining to side, to occassional tables. The bed (daybed) and linens are terrific quality and interesting glasswear and OMG, the table settings are really nice as well. Overall, a competitor to pottery barn.

WHAT A SCAM!!! I bought 2 chairs, 2 tables, a rug, and an 82" couch at the Thanksgiving sale. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!! They charge you flat rate shipping of $249 for orders over $1000 and they hold ALL of your items until the last one is ready. My delivery was estimated between Dec 12th and Dec 26th. I was moving into a new house and sold my furniture after placing this order with West Elm. On 12/8 I get an email, couch is backordered:

POSSIBLY 3 MONTHS BEFORE I GET MY FURNITURE BUT THEY CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD IN ADVANCE FOR THE ITEMS BEING HELD UNTIL THE COUCH IS READY TO SHIP. I cancelled the couch and placed an order at the Orlando store for the 92" version at a higher price. Since it is over $1000, they are charging me another $249 flat rate delivery charge because they sold something they didn't have in the first place. West Elm Customer Service was very rude and refused to waive the shipping charges.

I love the staff at this store! Kenlyn helped me find the perfect dining room table for my new home. She was so patient with me while I looked through every single option with her. She was so funny and personable. I love when a store has sales associates you actually want to talk to and work with! She made me feel so comfortable and I was able to choose a great piece of furniture.

They have the worst customer service !!! I ordered panels over a month ago on line the details on website is missing the dimension of what size curtain rod you need. I have called customer service 4 times now waiting over a month for an answer!!!

Horrible experience, waste of time... called to put 3 specific items on hold - drove 40 minutes - to get there and find out they didn’t even have the items in stock. Found other items to buy while I waited and when I went to checkout the woman stood there working on something for another customer who wasn’t even standing there instead of me. She then couldn’t find the price for one of my items and I eventually lost interest in buying anything at all. You would think for the price point they sell at you’d receive a better experience.

There was an issue with a brand new piece of furniture I had ordered and unfortunately it took us getting it home to assemble it to realize. Such a bummer but the management at this store really stepped up and made me a happy customer as I'm expecting a brand new table to be delivered this week. Customer service like this is what makes West Elm stand out. We will definitely be back to purchase other pieces we need due to this.

My wife and I furnished our apartment with the expert help of Danielle. She came to our apartment and talked us through several layouts and we found the perfect one (one that we had never thought of). She helped us in store as well to make additional selections. All in all we had a wonderful experience with this store. I would recommend Danielle and the team in Orlando to anybody.

i recently visited your store when I was in town on a brief stay and just wanted to get a fresh perspective on upgrading my living room. I had the pleasure of your working with a sales lady by the name of Kenlyn. I remembered her name because I found it unusual. She was such a delight and knowledgeable as if she knew exactly what I wanted. I will definately ask for her again when I am ready to purchase the new items.

It’s really bad the customer service is in this store . I came in and after 10 min in the store . Some one say hi because she was in direction to the stock room . The funny part is all the team members from the store were gathering and having fun talking personal things at the register bay. Another’s customers came in and was the same.

We picked up the Carlo chair and as always, were greated with a big smile from Luis (GM) and his team. Peter from storage room was quick and efficient. We just love this store but more so, the team. Highly recommended!
