If you are searching for the BEST Baptist church in the Pensacola area, this is it! Although it is a large church the people who go there are extremely friendly. Pastor Ted Traylor is a fantastic preacher and he is surrounded by extremely talented ministers. Jon Tyner is one of the best worship ministers I have ever seen! Go visit....see what a family of believers is like!

Thinking I’d burst into flames upon walking in, I found a great place to alleviate the uncertainty of life. The sense of community, the whole positive vibe, and love that is given out at Olive is refreshing. Everyone is personable and they actually care, they actually listen. I appreciate everything Olive does for our community too.

I attended the Charis House Women's Rehabilitation Program from 2019-2021. This church was the open door to my saving grace, JESUS!! They all welcomed me with open arms, and no judgment. Very biblical teaching. And what they do for the community in Pensacola is beyond expectation. This church will always hold a special place in my heart ❤️

Worst church, lower case C, in the city. Pastor has a PhD in shilling and Greek with a priority on the former. As a man with mixed ethnicity and being divorced I felt extremely uncomfortable every week I attended for over a year to include my baptism that I've asked to be removed from record. They are a perfect example of why I also asked to be removed from the roster of the SBC in general. Straight trash. I wish we had American Baptist representation in this town so Olive could say last pretend to keep up.

Wouldn't let me accompany my own children. Instant decision I won't step foot on the campus.

Olive Baptist Church seems to prioritize finances over outreach, with little focus on community engagement. Their athletic center, formerly known as the ROC (Recreational Outreach Center), had to change its name, suggesting a lack of emphasis on outreach efforts. During my recent visit to shoot hoops there, I observed an uncomfortable atmosphere where everyone was treated with suspicion as if they didn’t belong there. A lady from the front desk walked over the the windows looking into the gym, and all she did was cross her arms and glare and everyone in the gym.

Amazing church, that's spot on with The Message of God. Pastor Traylor does a brilliant job of sharing the good news in both a scholarly and relatable format. Every Sundays sermon has depth and improves my understanding and relationship with Jesus. Revival is happening here, God bless this church and it's members.

I will say that when you first come into the church service the orchestra/band is blasting music to where you can't even socialize. It is nice for the first few moments before church starts to unwind/peacefully socialize with others. Was almost near impossible with the loud orchestra blasting you out of the room. I liked it a lot better when it was more contemporary awhile back. The music is starting to go in the opposite direction and become more traditional. Also don't particularly care for how people shout amen in an authoritative/almost showing off tone. There was a lady sitting behind me that would not hush during the 11 am service that caused me to get up and leave. She kept shouting amen in a rude/mean way. Just know, the holier than thou attitude is not appreciated. Also miss the singles program. That was the one thing that I used to enjoy. Now, it is near impossible to plug in as a single person. You are missing an entire group of people that could grow the church exponentially. Leaving 5 stars because the pastor is good and his preaching is on point.

Olive Baptist is a church that focuses on God’s word and not the opinions of the world. Great people and awesome pastor! ❤️

We have been attending here off and on since 2016. The staff is great, Pastor Traylor is a Biblical preacher. The associate Pastor Sean Pillay (sp) is good, specially with the community outreach. We decided to make our personal commitment and have moved our membership to Olive Baptist. God is Good.

I have been going through a very hard time with losing my Mom on Christmas Day and battling with addiction and feeling like I could not get ahead. I have been a caregiver for the elderly for 33 years and I love what I do! And I recently lost my live in caregiver job and had to use my savings of 1100.00$ for a cheap motel room for 3 weeks and trying to survive. I emailed a lady at the Church asking for prayers and she said she would have someone call me and never got a call back. She did say come to the church and someone would pray for me. After I didn't have any money for a room I was sleeping in my car out in their parking lot for 4 nights and going every morning to the store to clean up. And I called the church and asked if I could come in and get some help? The lady in the office said ok when you come back from the store cleaning up pull up to the front parking lot A and come to the office. I did and I asked if they could call and get me Baker Acted so I could come clean and get some help and the right medication. She called the law and they came there and I told her my car was locked up and I would probably be there in the hospital for a week. She said just get you some help! Well I was admitted to the Pavilion on Wednesday and I called on Monday morning to let them know I was still there and I was checking on my car. Another lady that answered that day said she would advise security that I called. I called on Wednesday morning and she answered and I was letting them know I might would be getting discharged that day and she said my car was towed away on Monday morning!!! I was in shock and was crying and she said she needed the space because they were having 2 big events. What????? How could they do that? I went to them for prayers and help. All my belongings are in my car. Even my children's keep sake things from childhood. EVERYTHING I own.Well today is Sunday the 18th and I am homeless and have no car. I can get it out of impound. It's up to 924.00$ It's unreal what they did. I had to get clothes to wear from someone I didn't know to wear. I have nothing. It's wrong! The lady said she tried to call me once I told her I did not have my phone because the hospital put it up. She even said she emailed meNOOOO she did not! And I am wanting advice on what I can do?It's very wrong

I was in need of help with prayer after I had been living in my car in the church parking lot for 4 days. And I needed to get help with addiction and depression. I called the church office and they said come to the front door and I could get prayer.I did and I asked for help going to West Florida Hospital Pavilion and she called the law and they took me. I was in the hospital for 15 days and I checked on my car when I was able to use the phone as they do not let you have your phone. Well I was told that my car was towed away from the church parking lot because they needed the space! WowAll of Mom my stuff is in my car. Now I have no car no clothes! I called the church and they said they could not help me and call 211 .I just needed help and got hurt
