This was by far the worst rental car experience I’ve ever had. Made a reservation online and prepaid for insurance through Expedia. Paid for a Uber to the location (Being that the have no space for personal vehicle parking). Got to the location and was immediately discriminated against. The lady behind the counter assumed that my student bank card (Which is a Mastercard and works as a credit/debit) was connected to a prepaid account rather than an actual bank account and attempted to run my card as a debit card rather than credit. Being that use of a debit card requires a credit check, I was told that I would need a major credit card because my credit check failed. I’ve never had an issue renting cars using my student account and my credit is roughly (680) so what kind of score do i need to rent a car?!?!? I honestly believe they were discriminating and just didn’t want to allow me to rent from this location. Ended up having to catch another uber ride home and drove my personal vehicle to my destination instead. In addition, this location looks like it’s 80 years old. The building wreaked of cigarette smoke and looks like it has never been cleaned. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go to this location!!

AMANDA ws so unprofessional. Gave me attitude as soon as I walked through the door. And kept helping people that came in after me! She was really rude! I am a Uber driver and was just trying to get my rental I reserved!

Where to begin? First I made a reservation over a month in advance. I went in 2 day’s prior to my pickup to ensure everything was good and to complete any paperwork to be proactive. I verified with them the date and vehicle type and was told. No, there’s nothing you need to do at this time. It’ll be a very quick and simple process 3 minutes. When Friday arrived, I went to pick up my vehicle, and they didn’t have ANY vehicles to meet my needs. The lady at the counter was obviously overwhelmed, and stated “ I was told NOT to contact anyone in regards to not having vehicles”! Her solution was for me to try another location 30 minutes away. After driving to another location. They, didn’t have any vehicles either. I was told to drive another 30 minutes to the Tampa airport. I returned to the lot, where the ONLY person who offered sincere empathy approached and offered to contact his boss to see if anything had been returned. After 10 minutes, he received confirmation that they had a vehicle to fit my needs. After spending 1.5 hours being kicked down the road. I was finally on the road!The level of ineptitude at the 66th Street location in St Petersburg was/is beyond measure!

No place to park and potholes you can see from space. However the lady behind the counter was helpful and efficient. Car was not clean but we only needed it for a day so not a huge deal.

No rentals were available for prepaid reservation a week in advance. Nightmare getting money back. Told they would pay for Uber to airport location. That was a lie.

I booked a moving truck 3 weeks before, I came at pick up day for a truck, and they said they don’t have it and they don’t know what to do.., I said ok, I’ll cancel my reservation… in few days they’re try to charge me 75$… the worst rental ever!!!!

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE IF YOU NEED YOUR TRUCK THAT YOU RESERVED. Made a reservation, had a confirmation number, even received a confirmation email saying truck is reserved. Showed up and they said the have no trucks. Told them I am moving and had movers scheduled - they said “we have no trucks” and to call the 800 number. This location was ZERO help and were indifferent to the problem I had. Clearly this has happened before, and they had no intention of helping.Called the 800 number, which was overseas. Talked to them and was told the inventory manager would email or call within 2 hours. I had movers scheduled in an hour.Received an email about 30 minutes later (no phone call) saying my reservation had been moved to Hudson, FL. They want me to drive almost 90 minutes EACH WAY to pick up a truck, and then pay the mileage there and back.Had to scramble to get a Penske truck down the road.The reviews are accurate. I would avoid this location, and BUDGET, at all costs. There are zero repercussions to this ridiculous business practice, therefore, they won’t change. Take your business elsewhere.

The manager was less than professional- literally told me well we found you another truck and that’s the most important thing. GTFOH- The new location was 10 miles away- they only had a truck twice the size I requested therefore costing me more money. DO NOT RENT HERE. Go to uhaul. Extremely Unprofessional.

0 stars fie Budget!I reserved a 12-ft moving truck online 3 days ago for 24 hours. Pick up time was 6:00 p.m. tonight (Novovember 22nd) and I arrived at 5:51 p.m. but there was nobody there. It was all dark inside and even though a light was on towards the back of the store nobody came to the door when I knocked on it loudly. I called the 24-hour customer service line and nobody picked up so I canceled my reservation and went directly across the street to U-Haul. Not only was U-Haul cheaper, but they were also open when they said they were going to be open.

We had a 1 day, one-way rental from Ft Lauderdale to St Petersburg, and were able to pick up the car earlier than planned. Amanda in St Pete was extremely pro-active in helping us return the car early before the St Pete office opened and avoid an extra charge. Thanks Amanda!

Excellent experience with Amanda, she made things happen when there were no vehicles available. Booked a reservation for a 12 passenger van a week in advance. A couple days before we rented a car and there wasn't one available, waited for a car to be returne and took that. Confirmed with the manager the next day that the van would be available on Saturday, he said yes, that he confirmed 3 vans would be ready from fleet. Called Friday and Amanda informed us that it is looking like the vans will not be available. She will do what she can to get us vehicles. we had bachelor/bachelorette party and needed the van, that is why we booked in advance, the website had available vehicles. and now we were facing a situation with none available. Upon calling the manager and Amanda they made things happen, got us 2 vehicles, worked very hard to get us the vehicles, and quickly. We were able to have a great night. I am giving 4 stars only because of the efforts from Amanda and her manager. Lost 1 star due to no vehicles available even after reserving online. we truly appreciate everyone's efforts to make the night work perfectly

Made reservations 3 weeks ago. Called on Monday to confirm that my reservation was still good and was told yes. Flew down Tuesday morning all the way from Virginia so I could move my dad out before the storm hits. Showed up at 12:30pm and a letter was on the door that they evacuated and that I would have to drive an hour away across terrible traffic to pick up the van I needed. I understand a nasty storm was coming but you could of called all the reservations before walking out since the storm wasn't till the next day. Very unprofessional. Lucky enterprise was still open and gave me a nice large SUV and waived the out of state fee so I paid less with them then I would with you.

worst customer service came in while she is looking for my reservation shes on her phone playing a game and messed up my reservation.. they dont clean there truck or cars ever so they are smelly and drity

Terrible. If you leave something in the car on a friday, you’ll have to wait until monday for lost and found…but i guarantee you when they inspect the car when you drop it off and if scratched they will want the insurance money immediately. Left my house keys by accident (my fault) and now my animals are locked inside for so far a day. thanks budget for not going to look in the car
