Joann's is pretty consistent in layout and selection. Only real issue that I have is in the precut fabric. A 'fat quarter' is 18X22. At Joann's, it is 18X20, but is still listed as a fat quarter. The loss of 2 inches might not be an issue for some, but for me it means I actually have to buy one extra 'mini fat quarter' to make up the difference. They don't mark the quarters as less than standard size, so it just seems misleading.

If you are into arts and crafts, it's nice to have a local alternative to Michael's. I mainly come here for black velvet fabric for paintings, but I always enjoy seeing the other items not available at that other chain. As others have commented, the check-out times can be long, but I have found the service to be friendly. I just visit here either early or late to avoid the hassle. They stock many interesting things and their prices are always fair. I always come home with a few nice and affordable surprises. I look forward to my next visit.

4 days before Christmas! This store had only 1 cashier! There was 30 of us standing in line to pay. Took 30 mins just to pay! The poor cashier had to field calls on top of ringing us out! MICHEALS HERE I COME!

I went into this store last night and had a terrible experience. The lady at the fabric cutting table didn’t speak to me ONCE when I went to have some fabric cut and seemed irritated that I was bothering her by having he do her job for 2 minutes. Once it was time to check out I got in line with a nice woman behind me and the cashier made us move from where we were standing even though we were in the right spot AND were the only 2 people waiting to be checked out. The Cashier had an ATROCIOUS attitude as well. She didn’t speak at all, rolled her eyes when I told her I had a coupon and literally THREW my stuff in a bag. 0/10 experience for sure. I don't know if these employees act this way to every customer or just the black customers but save yourself some time and headache and go to a different location.

Few staff available to assist customers. Long lines everywhere. Staff unhappy and probably overworked and overwhelmed. Most probably under paid.

Came in for some cheap fabric, find a whole row on display marked down, so I pick the color I want and it's 4 times more than displayed. I told her I was looking for cheap, what's on sale, and got a "keep looking" response and that's it. Didn't wanna help at all, and wouldn't honor the sale on display, clearly visible from where we were standing. Rude employees and horrible marketing tactics with the bait and switch to fake out these folks that aren't paying attention. I really thought this was a friendly, family place... Wrong. I don't recommend this experience to anyone.

I absolutely love this store and being able to get all of my crafting needs in one place. HOWEVER, the management leaves little to be desired!!! DO NOT SHOP IN THIS STORE OF YOU ARE IN A HURRY!!! There's normally only 1 staff member to cut fabric and only 1 person working the register. Getting thru the check out line is usually a minimum of 20 mins!!!! The manager would rather rearrange merchandise versus wait on customers. So, it's great for the fact they have all the best crafting items, but they will drain your time with they're lack of staffing!!!

Good selection and assortment of products but you have to clear out half of your day in order to check out. Never has taken less than 10 minutes and today was over 20 minutes. One cashier who looked over worked. Gentlemen was organizing web orders and ignoring a line of 30 people and a coworker who needed assistance. I guess lesson is to order online or delivery to avoid having to check out. Also, the store is weirdly warm

It's a sewing and fabric emporium. They have discounts and sales galore. It's difficult to navigate the savings offered at times. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and always very helpful.I accompany my wife occasionally when she goes. I didn't think to take pictures. Maybe next time.

Great store for crafters who like to sew. Also great decorative products for holidays with good sales. Not a good atore for crafters who do vinyl crafting or sublimation. Don't carry many products in this area and what they have they are always out of stock or hardly any in stock.

It must be a prerequisite to be cranky and to carry an attitude of perpetual inconvenience to work here. I can’t believe this many miserable people work in one place on purpose. Joann Fabrics, what kind of nonsense is going on there to have such low company morale?! Please send help. They need it.

Has this store never seen a small south Asian lady? All the white people (there was a lot of them this particular morning), all gave me suspicious looks, like I was there to rob their children of their candy. I thought I was overthinking, like I did not belong there, until I stood in the check out line, and it was confirmed. The old white woman chatted up the other two customers, joking about how they should check out her yarn collection at home and everything. As soon as she saw me, her face blanked and she barely muttered out a hello. As I was signing up for Joann through email, she looked annoyed and I, *I* had to repeat myself.TLDR; IF YOURE A BROWN PERSON DONT BOTHER, THEY'RE RACIST.
