As a loyal patron of Turner Ace Hardware, I’ve bought many of my hardware supplies until today. On August 15, I was in their store to purchase paint supplies. Speaking to one of their customer service representatives, I told her that I had an old quart of paint that needed stirring, and she said to just bring it in and they would stir-shake it for me. That afternoon I brought the quart can in when the current service rep said “sorry, we don’t shake paint not bought from here.” I was stunned, saddened and angry. I understand turning away a contract with several gallons, but rejecting a resident customer over a quart can of old paint, who had just bought supplies and was invited by a rep to bring it in? This demonstrates Turner Ace Hardware failure to put their customer above the profit line. A myopic and senseless point of view. It is a disservice to all of us who patronize Turner only to be dehumanized because of an antiquated rule that places profit over customers. It will only drive their disappointed customer to Home Depot, just a mile down the road, who gladly took my quart can to stir-shake even though I didn’t buy it from them. Bottom line, I’m canceling my account with Turner Ace Hardware, gladly.

Shame on this Ace for refusing to fill my propane tank because it was raining. Just rain, no thunder or lightning. When asked why it couldn't be filled while it's raining. "Because we don't want to get wet." I will not be going back to this Ace. They need a lesson in customer service.
