As a non-resident I was literally stranded when my truck’s starter decided to stop working in a Saturday afternoon. I’m so glad I had it towed to this Firestone because they went above and beyond to get me back in business. Mind you, the truck was towed to the shop about an hour and a half before closing time on a Saturday so they really didn’t have to work me in like they did. Thankfully they quickly replaced my starter and had me back on the road. I am more grateful than I could express.

I work downtown and have used this location regularly over the last 2 yrs for the scheduled oil changes on my car. The last few times I have left my car at 7am and the oil change was not completed by 4pm, despite arrangements made to have it done by this time for pick up, once even with an appointment set. This along with the constant increase in their prices, which I have found to be higher than other competitors increases have led me to find a new spot despite the great convenience of this location. I will say staff is friendly and does not try to hard to upsell.Service: Oil change

Because I just bought the car, it's under warranty and I was told where to go for the multiple issues the car came with. I made an appointment that was accepted and confirmed for Wednesday, took the unpaid time off from work ... and they cancelled it at the last minute. Okay, things happen. We rescheduled for Friday, the appointment was accepted and confirmed, so I took unpaid time off from work again. No phone call this time, so I showed up, waited a full 15 minutes in line while the guy shot the s*** with somebody on the phone, and then was told they not only didn't have time for me, but don't handle the other mechanical issues I'd now discussed with them TWICE. I now have ONE business day left on my seven day warranty, and nobody can get me in. Unless this is something Firestone arranged with Carvana to avoid honoring warranties, these people are monumentally unreliable and have zero communication skills. Go to McCleod's on S Manhattan or Tire World on W Hillsborough. Both are honest, and professional in every way. Now that I've lost out on the warranty due to Firestone's inability to keep TWO confirmed appointments,, I'll be paying to go to one of those... and it will be worth it to be treated respectfully.

John was extremely helpful and awesome. Scheduled a 7 AM appointment for tires, alignment, and to replace a bulb. He didn’t have the bulb in stock, but called a nearby store and they were able to deliver it to him. My car was done before noon, and it was a great experience.Services: Wheel alignment

The gray haired less-than-gentleman who sits at the front desk should take a course in how to communicate with customers. When a customer asks how you are doing, you should probably just say fine versus sit in silence and look at me like I have 8 heads. Also, I understand you perhaps can’t help me today, but there’s a way to word that versus saying “I can’t do anything about it, I can’t look at it or touch it until tomorrow.” Maybe if you got up from your desk you could? You are lazy. If you were my associate, you’d be looking for alternative employment.

I’ve used this place in the past for multiple things such as tires, oil changes, alignments. The staff just keeps getting worse, they’re rude, disrespectful, lie about pricing, will tell you that you do not need an appointment then when you show up they tell you that you do need one. The guy behind the counter today was exceptionally rude and refused to service my truck.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!!! Had a blow out coming off the interstate where this location is and it was before 4pm and I still got turned away. He told me my car would have to sit until tomorrow irregardless of how that would inconvenience me. He was absolutely rude and wouldn’t even allow someone to help with putting the spare on. Didn’t even look my way before shutting down my requests and I felt completely disrespected!

Jesse is so rude. He was rude to every single customer. It was so uncalled for. Really need to consider better customer service here. I will not be coming back to this location.

I made an appointment online. They were polite and helpful and they repaired my car quickly. The price was actually less than I expected too.

Landed at Tampa airport and noticed the tire was almost flat. Stopped here to see if they could fix it for us. It was 40 min before closing. They said that they only had time to put on A NEW tire if we bought one but could not fix the flat. I don’t think he understood how that made him and the business appear. No one is willing to help anyone these days. The man had no interest in helping anyone. Hope Karma lets him know how it feels.

This Firestone was recommended to me by a friend, John specifically. We took all three of our cars there for repairs and service. John wasn't great but was reasonable. He was willing to skip charging us their ridiculous diagnostic fees. Today, I took one car in first thing in the morning and bought 4 new tires along with a few other items for almost $700. John tried to add a bunch of other unnecessary service items and I politely declined. When I picked up the first car, I was dropping off our second vehicle for a major AC repair which I expected to be over $1000. John was busy helping another person and Willy came out to help me. After I paid for the first set of repairs, he immediately presented me with $20 in diagnostic fees to even give me an estimate for the AC work and to look at the vehicle. I explained John didn't usually charge me for that and asked if they would remove the fees if I had the repair done there? Also keep in mind, that just minutes ago, I had spent almost $700 for tires. Willy refused to remove or even credit me the fee on the final bill. Willy was rude and John was oddly silent when this was happening - I explained that I would not be paying the ridiculous fees, instead I would be taking both vehicles and never returning. They clearly didn't care. I wish I could return these new tires. I checked with the friend who referred me to Firestone/John and HE is never charged the ridiculous fees or pressed for the unnecessary service add-on items. I can't help but think I was targeted for these marked up items/fees since I am a woman. The markup on their oil changes is outrageous and all the extra fees are just greed shown by the staff. (And while I was waiting to check out, John was helping another customer and trying to explain to him that just because his Firestone tires had a 50k warranty and they now needed replacement before 50k miles - unless they could be sure he had the tires regularly rotated, they would not honor the warranty.) Don't waste your time or money at this downtown Firestone where you risk being discriminated against and targeted for extra mark-ups and fees.

I made an appointment on line to have my granddaughter bring in my car she is using to have a problem looked at. I live across the state and asked them to call once they figured out the problem, they did and said they found the problem and it would cost almost $700. Well they never called when it was finished, my granddaughter had to Uber both ways because she doesn’t know anyone in the area yet. She gets the car home and then tries to go somewhere and it does it again. They did not fix the problem and this was charged to my Firestone card. I tried calling and no one is answering, if they do t fix this I will fight it.

My appointment was cancelled twice. After the second cancellation they told me to come in the next morning at 7:30am but couldn’t take my car until 8:15. They then told me to come back in an hour so I did just to find out they still haven’t started. I only needed 1 tire replaced and even brought the tire with me and it still took them almost 2 hours.
