If I could give 0 stars, I would.
I have been a loyal customer of Oceanic Supermarkets since 1981, supporting not only the supermarket but also Tc Choy's Asian Bistro, owned by the same family. My family's patronage spans over four decades, but after my recent experience, I will never return or recommend this store again.
Recently, I encountered a distressing incident. I ordered two ducks but was only charged for one. When I pointed this out to the cashier, she reacted in a shocking manner. Instead of addressing the mistake calmly, she began screaming at me, treating me as if I were trying to steal. Her rudeness was completely uncalled for, especially since I was not contesting anything—I simply wanted to pay for the second duck and perhaps get some extra sauce.
What made the situation worse was the response from Susan, one of the owners. Instead of defusing the situation, she backed up the cashier’s outrageous behavior. This lack of customer service and support for her staff's rude treatment is unacceptable.
This experience has made it clear that Oceanic Supermarkets does not value its customers or foster a respectful environment for its employees. It's disheartening to witness the decline of a place I once loved. I will no longer go out of my way to visit this store and will instead take my business to other Asian supermarkets that appreciate their customers.

Recalling Chinatown from NYC, very pricey but if you love Oriental food, healing herbs and teas well then this is your place. They do speak English the store on Fowler near USF is not as accommodating.

I love coming to this potpourri of all things Asian from leaf teas, herbal remedies, frozen and fresh goodies, fresh pork tongue, fast food take aways, and the largest frozen egg roll wrapper I have ever seen. Wow, even frozen whole Durian fruit! You can find all kinds of rices, sauces, moon cakes, real ramen, world's largest carrots, housewares, cookies, crackers, gobo root, garlic, beverages. The restroom is small and dated, and wheel chair accessible.

Asian market & apothecary. Plethora of Asian culinary items including fresh seafood, produce, frozen noodles, buns, shelf stable sauces & other grocery items. Some in house hot food items (shopped late afternoon) roast duck & pork items. One of the oldest Asian markets in Tampa.

Old school Asian market without any bells and whistles. The selection can some a little limiting at times on some shelves, but there is also some things you will not find anywhere else and prices have remained fair. Picked up some sauces, seasonings, and frozen snacks as well as some ramen and pad thai. I will be back.

If you are military like me and just PCSed back stateside from ROK and miss being able to run down the hill to the 7/11 corner store, this will be your new heaven in Tampa. I can find everything I want and more!!! They even have fresh made congee, crispy pork belly and so much more daily!!! 😭 Gomawo!!! 🙇🏾♀️ Bless up!!! 🙏🏾
